DELANEY ANDERSON YOUR LIFESTYLE MANAGER

Summer Relaxation is Here!
Summer is in full swing, and there’s no better time to enjoy the sunshine, good company, and a calendar full of exciting events! July and August bring a vibrant mix of creativity, entertainment, and community fun designed to make the most of the season. Whether you’re looking to unwind, get inspired, or make some unforgettable memories, we’ve got something for everyone.
We’re kicking things off with Game Night at The Venue on July 1, where you can bring your favorite games and friends for a relaxed evening of laughs and friendly competition. Then, celebrate in red, white, and blue for some patriotic fun at the Bahama Bar—a perfect way to enjoy the holiday in true summer style. Later in the month, don’t miss our Vino & Van Gogh painting class, and our next Signature Event, Aloha Nights, a tropical-themed evening you won’t want to miss!
In August, the fun continues with Movie Night on August 1, where we’ll be showing Happy Gilmore 2 and providing treats for a laid-back night under the stars. A few days later, we’ll host our handy Knife & Tool Sharpening event— perfect for getting your kitchen and garden gear ready for the rest of the season. And don’t forget about our ongoing Nine & Dine Golf Series, running from May through September, combining great rounds of golf with delicious food trucks and live music to follow.
With so many ways to connect, celebrate, and enjoy the warm weather, July and August are set to be two unforgettable months. I look forward to seeing you at these events and soaking up the best of summer together!
Tiffany Thornhill
YOUR WELLNESS MANAGER
If you’ve ever stepped into the Wellness Center at Esplanade at Azario, chances are you will be greeted with a warm smile and a welcoming energy that instantly puts you at ease. That smile belongs to Tiffany, a seasoned professional whose passion for wellness and dedication to outstanding service have made her a cornerstone of the Esplanade experience.
More than just a friendly face, Tiffany is a licensed esthetician with over 15 years of experience in fitness, wellness, customer service, and management. She brings a rare blend of expertise, empathy, and professionalism to her role, all rooted in her deep belief that wellness is not just a job, but a way of life.
A proud Florida native, Tiffany has always valued connection and community. She and her husband Butch have been married for 26 years and have raised two children, Tierney and Trey, both of whom return to Esplanade during their college breaks to work alongside their mom, making the Wellness Center feel like home in more ways than one.
Outside of work, Tiffany finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loves cooking with her family, volunteering with local non-profits, enjoying a round of golf, vacationing with loved ones, and sipping champagne while cheering on her favorite college football team, The Florida State Seminoles.
It’s this balance of personal joy and professional excellence that makes Tiffany more than just a team member. Her genuine care

for every guest ensures that each visit is not only relaxing but truly meaningful.
So next time you stop by the Wellness Center, be sure to say hello. Tiffany will be there with a warm smile and a helping hand, ready to make your day a little brighter.
Mermaids of the Sea
National Wildlife Federation teams up with LG Electronics (LG) for an ongoing campaign to highlight vulnerable and endangered species, such as the West Indian Manatee (including its two subspecies the Florida and Antillean Manatees). Currently, the biggest threats to manatees are boat collisions and loss of their primary habitat—warm water coastal ecosystems that provide seagrass beds. Additionally, entanglement in fishing gear and toxic algal blooms are also impacting manatee populations.
Test your knowledge and learn fun facts about the beloved “Mermaid of the Sea.” To learn more, visit blog.nwf.org/2025/04/manatees-the-mermaidsof-the-sea

JULY 2 6 , 202 5

Kelli & Bill Thompson
The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. If you would like to be featured or want to nominate another Member, please contact your Lifestyle Manager.

Why did you choose Esplanade and where are you from?
AQKelli and Bill are originally from Geneva, Illinois — a western suburb of Chicago — where they raised their four children, who are now grown, thriving, and living their best lives. With family living in the Sarasota area for over 35 years, Kelli and Bill have visited the region many times over the years. As they began planning for retirement, they knew Florida would be their destination. During their visits, they explored several Esplanade communities and quickly realized the Esplanade lifestyle was the perfect fit.
They were drawn to Lakewood Ranch for its proximity to beaches, airports, and great day-trip spots, along with the everyday conveniences located just minutes away. They especially appreciate the peaceful, natural setting that offers a welcome retreat from traffic, lights, and the busyness of daily life. As active and social individuals, Kelli and Bill love being part of a vibrant community with a full calendar of amenities and activities. They’re excited for this new chapter and to make the most of everything Esplanade living has to offer.
Where is your favorite place to travel?
Kelli and Bill have been fortunate to travel quite a bit and still have many destinations left on their list. They love taking long weekend getaways to discover new cities and enjoy new experiences. Up next is an exciting land-andcruise tour through Alaska, and Kelli is already planning a Mediterranean vacation to celebrate retirement.
What activities and events do you like to participate in at Azario?
Kelli and Bill live on Umbria Place, known for being especially social and friendly, with something fun always in the works. They feel incredibly fortunate to have landed on such a vibrant, welcoming street filled with fun and caring neighbors.
Socializing with their Azario friends keeps them active and connected. You’ll often find them at the Bahama Bar, Barrell House Bistro, Olive & Vine, bocce ball courts, pool days, trivia nights, Signature Events, and driveway cornhole games.
They’re regulars at group outings for live music, football Sundays at Mark and Julie’s driveway, Ranch Nite Wednesdays at Waterside, and of course —exploring every beach they can find. They sign up for just about everything and love being involved.
They’re especially excited for upcoming cooking classes and wine and bourbon tastings in the new Culinary Center Teaching Kitchen. Bill keeps busy with pickleball, poker nights, golf, and the occasional Euchre club night. Kelli enjoys daily walks on the trails, and both make good use of the gym and the pools — including their own backyard pool and spa, which they call paradise.
While they’re both still working, retirement is on the horizon in spring 2026. In the meantime, they’re finishing upgrades to their home, tackling many of the projects themselves. Kelli and Bill truly enjoy and make the most of everything the Azario community has to offer.
What is your favorite dish to make?
Kelli and Bill love to cook—especially fish, stir fry, and extra crispy chicken wings. They’re looking forward to completing their outdoor kitchen soon so they can enjoy grilling and entertaining even more.
