I hope this magazine finds you eagerly organizing your Christmas. I have always loved Christmas. Family gettogethers, fun games, midnight church service and of course, the family fare. With 3 sisters it was always a fun time deciding who made the best gravy. LOL Now I am older it can be a lonely time. The family are now all over the country and have their own families. It’s very heartening to see the local churches acknowledging this with services focusing on missed loved ones. Alway remember you are never alone! Check out some of the services being held locally in the magazine.

200 g unsalted butter, softened
Finely grated zest 2 oranges, plus 1 tbsp orange juice
40 g icing sugar, sifted 50 g rice flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
50 g demerara sugar
40 g dried cranberries, finely chopped
For the shortbread, in a medium bowl, using a handheld

Scrape on to a work surface and roll into a log about
