Dear Readers First we start with an apology. One or two of our new distributors got carried away last month and some of you may have received two magazines. Apologies for any confusion. This month we hit the 10000 plus copies of the magazine. It took a little longer than anticipated but we got there in the end. Next year we are planning some new features in the magazine - so keep reading! If you have any suggestions for articles of interest please let me know. I have recently acquired the first ever 6 issues of the OVD and on reading them its so good to see we still have some of those who advertised in the first issue in April 2006, advertising with us today! More on those in the new year. If you are thinking of a taking a break then consider Grey House Getaways. We had a midweek break recently and it was amazing. Gary & Kay could not have been more kind and helpful and the lodge was immaculate. The hot tub was blissful and helped soothe my weary bones. They have a few dates left this year but are taking booking for next year - book soon to avoid disappointment! I hope you are all well on the way to sorting out your Christmas. This month we thought we would do a recipe the little ones can make too..
ORANGE PANNA COTTA 1 orange few stands of orage zest and the rest finely grated 2 tabs of cold water 1 packet powdered gelatine 900 mls single cream 75 g caster sugar Peel some orange zest strands (for decorations and finely grate the rest of the zest Make up your gelatine using the cold water in a cup and sprinkle on the gelatine. Stir well until is becomes clear. Set aside. Mix the cream, sugar and finely grated orange zest in a saucepan and bring to just below boiling point. Stir continuously to dissolve the sugar. Remove from the heat and let it cool. Add the gelatine and whisk until dissolved and smooth. Pour the mix into your containers (I use about 6 to 8 ramekins or fancy glasses) When cold, cover with clingfilm and put in the fridge to set for at least 8 hours but preferably overnight. Just before serving sprinkle with some of the orange zest.
