WHY TAKE PART?
A professional Ceramic Artist will introduce you to clay, taking you on a journey through this flexible and expressive medium. The session is entirely accessible and all materials and tools are provided.
The session will boost creative confidence and self-esteem. By working in a group, it will support team-building, fostering positive social experiences. Outcomes can be individual and/or collaborative.
Working with clay can improve wellbeing - promoting mindfulness and relieving stress. Making pottery can act as a natural painkiller, reducing symptoms of physical and mental health disorders.
Design a bespoke ceramic session tailored to your needs, exploring making: RELIEF TILES, FIGURINES, SLAB-BUILT OBJECTS, VESSELS, PORTRAITS, LETTERING and EXPRESSIVE, ABSTRACT SCULPTURAL FORMS.

A professional regional artist will introduce you to textiles, exploring a variety of techniques. The session is accessible, with modifications made as required. All materials and tools are provided. Crafts and making alleviate the symptoms of anxiety, depression, loneliness and even dementia. Textile crafts like embroidery, crocheting and knitting are uniquely mindful, which aides relaxation.
The session will boost creative confidence and self-esteem. and will also support teambuilding, fostering positive social experiences. You can produce individual pieces and/or work as a group.

Design a bespoke textiles session tailored to your needs, exploring: SCRAP LANDSCAPES or STILL LIVES, EMBROIDERY, WEAVING, KNITTING, CROCHETING, HANGINGMAKING or PATCHWORK.

Drawing helps release stress, sharpens focus and enhances communication skills. Drawing is a powerful catalyst for unlocking creativity, which can lead to positive self-expression and mood improvement.
Design a drawing session tailored to your needs, exploring INK, CHARCOAL, PEN & PENCIL to create artwork inspired by nature, landscapes, human/animal forms, or investigate abstract outcomes.

The session will boost skillsdevelopment and resilience, whilst also supporting teambuilding via positive social interactions. You can produce individual pieces and/or work as a group.
Research has shown that printmaking encourages participants to let go and embrace experimentation through ‘trial and error’, which can lead to increased confidence and self-esteem.
Design a printmaking session tailored to your needs, exploring practises such as MONO-PRINTING, RELIEFPRINTING, COLLOGRAPHS and SCREENPRINTING to create a range of creative outcomes.
