Editors Letter I wonder what “Intervention” means to each and every "VULKANERS." In case you were wondering, that would be you. So, why “Intervention?” Why think of one? Why do we really need one? A question I doubt many have asked themselves…or anyone for that matter. Well, I guess that makes me one of the few. You see, a recent intervention happened to me and here is how it could help. I moved to America to live a life of the stars and to make a name for myself. Throughout the years, the passion evolved to comfort. Keeping up the luxury became more of an important task which led me to forget what I really came here to do. Years passed and things started being stagnant. Every day seemed like an pendulum which never stopped. That’s when I came to the self realization to find my true calling and purpose after a series of incidents which forced me out of my comfort zone. It was not easy at first. Trying to find the same routine you used to have. However, once the mind is free and open to possibilities, everything comes knocking at your door. Just like the universe of endless possibilities Intervention brought me to being here, leading the Vulkan team. We are not going to be your usual magazine where you might flip pages of a photobook. We are going to share the voices that need to be heard. Uplift one another and grow as a community. That’s the new VULKAN and that’s our INTERVENTION. Looking forward to the jouney with all my VULKANERS.

RICHARD COLLINS @dickycollins Hairstylist Born and raised in England, Richard Collins has always been drawn to the creative side of things. One day, he realized that hair is HIS creative outlet and it’s been a love story in the making ever since! In 1992, he moved to Los Angeles where he worked at a salon for many years. DENIKA BEDROSSIAN @dendoll MAKE UP ARTIST Make up artist, Denika Bedrossian, was born and raised in Los Angeles. She began working in make up at the early age of 16 with an extreme passion for all things glam. Known for doing beautiful skin and sexy cat eyes, Denika has worked with some of the top celebrities, magazines and photographers. Her love and passion for makeup is endless and continuously grows.

ONTRIBUTORS PHILIPPE UTER @philipputer STYLIST French stylist, Philippe Uter, is known for his chic aesthetic, impeccable tailoring and attention to detail. As a graduate of Yves Saint Laurent’s school, Philippe began his career assisting on shoots for publications such as GQ Russia and collaborating on various editorials. Soon after, he was inspired to venture off as a freelance stylist so he could work on a myriad of projects in the industry. Since then he has built a loyal celebrity clientele in Hollywood including Jackie Cruz, Ashley Roberts, Karolina Kurkova, Toni Garrn, Ludivine Sagnier, Ian Bohen, Noah Schnapp, Lais Ribeiro, Meagan Good and Tyler Hoechlin. Philippe was the Fashion Director for So Chic magazine at the age of twenty-five, an independent title with a distribution of over 65,000 copies worldwide. Additionally, he has worked on advertising campaigns for international brands like Giuseppe Zanotti, Breguet, and Moet & Chandon.
