Quote from Gembrook Cockatoo’s Coach Dean Allcott
“Our team is similar to last year, lost a couple and gained a couple. It's going to be a ripper grand final, Narre are a very good team, with some classy players and deserve to be the favorites.”
Quote from Narre Warren’s Coach Rowan Van Raay
“The Narre Vets are certainly ‘up and about’ and very excited to be playing off in the club’s first ever Vets Grand Final this year after coming so close in previous years. The boys have worked extremely hard, and numbers have been great throughout the year. We go into the game in good form and Gembrook provide another great challenge for us; one we are up for and very much looking forward to. They are a well-drilled team who are also in great form being undefeated so far this season. We are an extremely close-knit group and I have no doubt we will leave nothing in the tank come Grand final day A victory will be rewarded for those who have worked so hard to get a Vets team off the ground and have committed so much to the team since its inception GO NARRE!”

Quote from Pakenham’s Women's Coach Rick Stalker
“Honesty has been our key ethos this season and that’s what we aim to play with this Sunday. I have been extremely impressed with all our players application and dedication throughout this season. They’ve been magnificent in this aspect and I’m proud of their efforts so far and looking forward to a great game on Sunday.”
Quote from Olinda Ferny Creek’s Women’s Coach Simon Gilson
“The girls are really excited to face Pakenham in the Grand Final this week. We’ve had some real tussles with them this year and we expect this one to be no different. It’s been a tight competition for the 3rd and 4th spots on the ladder with Berwick Springs also coming home hard late in the season. I think this has been great preparation for both teams coming into finals and we both seem to be playing good footy. It should be a cracker of a game. With such a young team and with so many players unavailable for long stretches during the season, our leadership team has worked really hard to build belief that we could compete with the top sides. They’re an incredible bunch of girls with phenomenal energy and they’ve developed an amazing connection over Pasitos at Thursday dinners. The last month or so has seen us return to playing a solid brand of footy and we’re really looking forward to the challenge ahead this weekend. Go Bloods!!”

R6 Seville 3.4-22 lost to Belgrave 11.4-70
R10 Belgrave 7.5-47 defeated Seville 4.4-28
Quote from Belgrave’s Women's Assistant Coach Robert Argoon
“The BFNC women's football team has had a tremendous season to date, going through the home and away fixtures undefeated and followed that up with a strong win over Yarra Junction in the semi final. Our team this year is an exciting blend of youth and experience, which gives us inside strength and outside run on the ball. Complementing that is a tight backline and strong, mobile forwards. So, whilst we go into the grand final with a degree of confidence, we are very mindful of last year's result and that football is always a 50 - 50 contest. Seville has had to play elimination final football for the last month, just to get to the finals. To be able to do that, then go on and win their semi final shows strength and resilience. We will not be underestimating them on Sunday.”
Quote from Seville’s Women’s Coach Daniel Ismail
“We have been the underdogs all year and we will go in this week again as the underdogs. Our girls are playing out of their skin at the moment hitting form at the right time of the year. This week's game will be yet another tough one for us, but we are certainly up for the challenge and give it our best shot! As for our year we have grown a lot on and off the field and the improvement in all our players has been so exciting and made my job as a coach so fulfilling. The Team just keeps developing each week and I’m very privileged to coach such a great bunch of girls who want to learn this great game. Belgrave have been the benchmark for the year and thoroughly deserve being there this week.”
