MEL DAVEY 250 GAMES

Mel has been an instrumental member and leader of the BFNC since joining in 2009, beginning her netball career in B Grade and working her way up to A Grade after one year to show off her undeniable skill and proving she really is a force to be reckoned with

Mel took her commitment to the next level by joining the general committee from 2014, moving her way up to Secretary from 2016-2019, Treasurer in 2022 and then back to her current role as Secretary in 2023.

If all of her time on the committee wasn’t enough, Mel’s had a huge impact on the club and the community with her involvement in getting our netball courts built, creation of the inaugural women’s football team in 2019 (which she then joined and played 10 games of football in, in addition to netball), netball coordinator and being involved and having massive influence in the redevelopment plan for our facilities.

Mel’s achievements began immediately with her earning B&F in 2009 (B Grade) and backing it up immediately in 2010 (A Grade), again in 2015 and 2017 (B Grade) In addition to these great feats, one of Mel’s most treasured achievements is her Life Membership, which she was awarded in 2018

Mel’s commitment to the Belgrave Football Netball Club is unquestionable, if you’ve ever had the privilege of talking to Mel you’d know how amazing she is and what she would do to make everyone happy and also ensuring the best for our club.

We wish Mel all the best for her future and we can’t wait to watch her play her 250th game this weekend!
