Welcome to Out Bristol an independent community magazine and website for the LGBT+ communities of the West of England. Established in 2008 as an independent free access website and guide that joins up the dots to create a hub linking to further support and information. The website and guide quickly turned into a magazine with the same aims as the website as a hub, showcasing what’s on in the region for LGBT+ people. This developed to linking with the tourism board to showcase the great things happening in the city region. The site is now the LGBT+ tourism site for the region, with links to information on where to stay, attractions, festivals and the LGBT+ Scene. We have an open source policy for the site, magazine and social media which means all outbristol

content comes directly from the source as they have sent it #nofilter. Our communities are diverse and editing content to one single voice when we are many voices does not allow for free expression. Out Bristol has over 80 contributors via its social media, website and magazine and we welcome people to contribute to the website and magazine as the more voices the better. Out Bristol is your virutal community centre, home of your Out Bristol Magazine. We’re a hub hosting a space to plug your events, social groups and news and we’re 100% independent and non for profit. The leading gay retail brand Prowler is proud to announce the arrival of the brand in Bristol. Bristol is a fast-growing city with a vibrant, diverse community including (according to figures from Bristol City Council) an LGBT community of at least 26,000, and an age profile significantly below the national average. As a result it has developed a growing gay scene, including bars and clubs concentrated around two areas of the city centre. In response, Prowler Stores owner ABS Group have decided to devote a whole floor of their Simply Pleasure store in the city centre to create a new Prowler Store which will open early in July in time for the beginning of Bristol Gay Pride. The new venture will be a full Prowler Store, in response to customer demand in Bristol for the Prowler brand and the growth of the gay scene in the West Country’s diverse capital. It will be a truly co-branded store with a full floor for each brand and a co-branded shopfront. At 300 sq. feet the new floor will be big enough to house an extensive range of Prowler’s gay lifestyle range with departments including underwear, toys, sex enhancing stimulants & lubes, fetish clothes and DVDs. The space will also feature a coffee and community space where events will be held. Prowler opened its first store in London’s Soho in 1997 and the flagship is still going strong as the busiest gay lifestyle retail store in Europe. Part of Prowler’s distinctive retail mission is that customers find not only a huge range of products but also high quality customer service and comprehensive product knowledge. This new venture will see Prowler and Simply Pleasure offer in partnership a comprehensive one-stop destination store for a happy, fun sex life for all of the city’s diverse population. The store is situated on the first floor of the current Simply Pleasure Store at 30 Bond Street, Bristol. This is conveniently less than half a mile away from Bristol’s two gay hubs – in one direction is the Old Market Area and in the other is the West End area. It is just one block away from Bristol’s premier shopping mall, Cabot Square. This iconic Bristol event represents the best of African Caribbean culture, as well as the diversity, creativity and vibrancy of its home city, Bristol. At the heart of carnival is our masquerade procession where the most vibrant colours of carnival are matched by big sound-system sounds. F
etish Week London comes from passion: my passion for fetish and the need to create an event for our community, the passion of my team, who want to make every year’s Fetish Week better than the last and the passion of the guys who attend and make all the effort worthwhile. And it takes a lot of effort. Every year, there’s probably only one month – August – where we’re not thinking about the next FWL. This one week in July endlessly fuels our thoughts as we think about parties, venues, models, photography, DJs, play spaces, permits, licences – all the background details that go into producing one of the world’s largest gay fetish events. But we do it for you gladly.

It’s not just the effort that we put in, though, it’s the effort that you all make when you attend. Seeing everyone out in force in their best gear, ready to get involved and take part; this is what makes everything worthwhile. As with every year, I’ll be around all week - though you may not see me, as I’m often masked. Know that I and the team will be taking inspiration from your passion and effort to keep making Fetish Week London an event everyone can be proud of.

t’s that time of year once again when we at Recon turn London into our fetish playground for all our members and fans around the world.
Now, I know that you guys love to get out and play with men who push your buttons, but the team and I also know that plenty of you enjoy the social aspect of gearing up, too. As such, we’ve created a week that caters to a variety of tastes, and hopefully has something that all can enjoy. We got such great feedback from the participants in the Pride march that we’re taking part again this year. If you want to show your fetish out and proud on the streets of London, sign up to march with us and other Recon men on 7th July. The day after Pride, we’ll then be calling on all members to start off FWL2018 BIG at the Recon Members’ Party. It’s an opportunity to have a drink (or three) on us and call dibs on the men you’re going to be seeing the rest of the week. We had such a great time last year at Café De Paris that we’re going back for more. Presented by yours truly, there will be laughs, performances, games and prizes. This is by invitation only, so if your name’s not down, you're not getting in. Ask anyone who has been to this before, it’s not to be missed. Keep an eye on Recon for details on how to get an invite.

If geared up socialising is your thing, then be sure to attend our Screening of the Tom of Finland movie, pick up some BDSM wisdom (advice for beginners to advanced) at our Bondage Masterclass and stuff your face at Spit Roast with your fellow pigs. If you’re more into getting down and dirty, then I’d recommend my personal favourite play parties: Sports Cruise, Rubber Gear and Full Fetish. This year we’ve moved our sweaty locker room to Bloc South for Sport Cruise, we’re taking over FIRE for the Rubber Gear party and after much anticipation, the big one of the week, Full Fetish, is moving to Great Suffolk Warehouse!
