Welcome to Bristol Pride 2015

We would like to welcome you to Bristol Pride 2015. This is Bristol’s largest and most diverse LGBT festival which is a week long experience playing host to events, parties, club nights with everything from the cultural to the camp.

In this guide you will find all the highlights of the festival in a quick to access format to make sure you do not miss a thing as the people at Bristol Pride festival have once again exceeded themselves with a week long event full of inclusive events where there is something for everyone.

Pride Theatre Night 8 July 2015 @ 18:00 “Showcasing pride through diverse performances” Proudly teaming up with the Bierkeller to bring local talent to the stage. Pride has commissioned pieces to represent the spectrum of LGBT pride.

They beat the girl out of the boy (Eve Ensler) First performed as part of the vagina monologues this brings a fresh new trans perspective that celebrates being a woman.

Home (David Lane) A man reflects on his relationship with his wife and his inner turmoil when an old flame reappears online.

Julien Scary (Michael Monkhouse) this fabulous host chats to the winner of a celebrity gameshow, but is he trying just a bit too hard?

The elephant (Samantha Coughlan) on a boozy night out in the 80s two female friends discuss coming out, gay bars and female attraction.

A Whole new me (Inma de Reyes) backstage, two drag queens prepare for another show, passing the torch from one generation to the next.

Pride Comedy Night 9 July 2015 @ 18:00 Join us for the Bristol Pride Comedy Night. Truly one of the highlights of Pride Week it’s been a sell out night for the last 2 years.

Jayde Adams A regular at several major comedy and arts festivals across the UK (Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Brighton Festival, Electric Picnic, Glastonbury Festival and Bestival.)

Joe Sutherland London based and fresh faced, Joe is a stand-up comedian who will bring us some camp cattiness to our Pride Comedy Night.

Zoe Lyons Award winning comedian Zoe Lyons has been “selling her comedy wares” on the comedy circuit since 2004. In 2009, much to her astonishment, she was ranked 81st in the Independent on Sunday’s “Pink List” of Britain’s 100 most influential gay and lesbian people.

A Midsummer’s Time Warp 10 July 2015 @ 18:00 Let us take you, if we may, on a time Warp back to a day where fairies tricked and bottoms fooled - high jinx, chaos and mayhem ruled. Bristol Pride and the Shakespeare festival team up for this special night, merging a midsummer night’s dream with a gender bending cult classic.

This year, lending more than their ears, a talented troupe of circomedia graduates bring you interactive and acrobatic midsummers night’s dream characters who get caught up in a whirlwind of shenanigans and turn into those iconic party guests. as well as specially curated and created theatre performances the team from pride will also be running a best dressed competition as they pay homage to 40 years since the release of that cult classic.

Dressing up is actively encouraged, throwing items prohibited. Screening r15, tickets limited and only available in advance.
