SIXTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY DWSM Propers P.1040 Readings p.973 (17 OT) THE INTROIT HYMN Immortal, invisible, God only wise, In light inaccessible hid from our eyes, Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days, Almighty, victorious, thy great name we praise. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light, Nor wanting, nor wasting, thou rulest in might; Thy justice like mountains high soaring above Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love. To all life thou givest to both great and small; In all life thou livest, the true life of all; We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree, And wither and perish but nought changeth thee. Great Father of glory, pure Father of light, Thine angels adore thee, all veiling their sight; All laud we would render: O help us to see 'Tis only the splendour of light hideth thee. RESPONSORIAL PSALM On the day I called, you answered me, O Lord. OFFERTORY HYMN Just as I am, without one plea But that thy blood was shed for me, And that thou bidd'st me come to thee, O Lamb of God, I come. Just as I am, though tossed about With many a conflict, many a doubt, Fightings within, and fears without, O Lamb of God, I come. Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind; Sight, riches, healing of the mind, Yea all I need, in thee to find, O Lamb of God, I come.
Just as I am, thou wilt receive, Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve: Because thy promise I believe, O Lamb of God, I come! I come! Just as I am (thy love unknown Has broken every barrier down), Now to be thine, yea thine alone, O Lamb of God, I come. Just as I am, of that free love The breadth, length, depth and height to prove, Here for a season then above, O Lamb of God, I come.
