OgOD, who by the fruitful virginity of Blessed Mary hast bestowed upon mankind the reward of eternal salvation: grant, we beseech thee, that we may know the help of her intercession, through whom we have been accounted worthy to receive the Author of our life, Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord; who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, ever one God, world without end. Amen. gradual Diffusa est gratia (Ps 45:2b,4) Full of grace are thy lips: because God hath blessed thee for ever. V. Because of the word of truth, of meekness, and righteousness: and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. Alleluia Post partum Alleluia. Alleluia. After childbirth, thou remainedst a pure virgin: Mother of God, intercede for us. Alleluia.
The Creed is said.
Offertory Felix namque es Blessed art thou, O holy Virgin Mary, and most worthy of all praise: for out of thee arose the Sun of righteousness, Christ our God.
