SPECIAL THANK YOU to the hands, hearts, and brands who helped bring this home to life. From the first swing of the demo hammer to the final coat of paint, this home came back to life through the hands of so many who believed in what it could become. To the crew who tore out what no longer served this house, and the ones who poured the concrete it now stands on. To the plumbers and electricians who gave it new breath. To the landscapers who gave it new roots. To the painters, the cabinet makers, the wallpaper hangers, the carpenters who work with their hands like it’s a calling and not a job. To the ones who sourced every window and door, and the architects who saw the bones before anyone else could. To our team who helped us stage every room and choose every fabric, hung wallpaper, selected every drape, every last detail. This home carries your fingerprints in every corner, your patience in every delay, your skill in every finish. We couldn’t have brought it back without you.

With love

FROM MY HEART TO YOURS

THE BEECHWOOD REVIVAL

Where an old white house with green shutters got a second chance to become home.

P

UTTING THIS ISSUE together felt different than the others. Because this one has a word behind it, and that word is revival. If you look it up, revival means bringing something back to life while keeping what made it what it was in the first place. Not tearing it down and starting over. Keeping the bones, the story, the soul of a thing, and breathing new life into it so it works for who you are now. That’s exactly what the Beechwood Revival is. When I first saw this home, it had been sitting empty. Forgotten, honestly. Countless stories inside those walls, and it just needed someone to see what it could still become. And can I be honest with you? I think that’s true for more than houses. We’ve all had a dream that got abandoned somewhere along the way. A season that left us feeling more broken than beautiful. A family, a marriage, a piece of ourselves we thought was too far gone to bring back. But revival doesn’t start with everything being perfect. It starts with one person willing to see the potential underneath the neglect, and choosing to love it back to life, one decision at a time. That’s what this home taught us all over again. And that’s what we hope this issue reminds you of too, whether it’s your house, your family, or your own heart that’s ready for a little revival. Inside these pages you’ll find the Beechwood Revival home tour, a few new holiday recipes we can’t wait for you to make, some stories about the people who’ve walked this season with us, and a little encouragement for your own body and soul along the way. Thank you for walking through these pages with us. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, get cozy, and let’s dig in. XO,

Brooke Farmer

HIS ONE IS PERSONAL. We were brand new to the community, and every morning I drove my son to his freshman year at Beechwood High School, I passed the same house. White with green shutters, a little worn around the edges, sitting quiet on one of the most iconic streets in town. It reminded me of the house from Father of the Bride, and every single time I drove by, I thought the same thing: she just needs somebody to love her. I asked Daron if we could buy it. He said absolutely not. I kept asking anyway, because I could not shake the thought of what this house could become. And in February 2026, he finally, reluctantly, said yes.

6

As we got into the project, we heard stories about the sweet woman who owned this home before us and lived there for years. Her life had filled these rooms long before we ever walked through the

“It didn’t need a renovation. It needed someone to see what it could still be.” door, and there was something special about knowing we weren’t just building something new. We were carrying forward a home that had already held so much love, and getting the chance to give it a second season. Together, we set out to bring this nearly

hundred-year-old colonial revival back to life. And that word, revival, is exactly what it is. This home is a true 1900s Colonial Revival, just under 1,900 square feet, and one of the things I fell in love with first was the sunroom. Some of it was hard. Because the street parking here is so tight, we knew we had to be good neighbors and make room for our family and the guests we hope to host, which meant losing that original sunroom and most of the mature trees on the lot. I was genuinely sad over the trees. But I also knew a sunroom had to come back into the new design, no matter what. So we rebuilt it. Inside, the new sunroom now doubles as our gathering dining room, because bringing back Sunday supper has been a dream of mine for years. A place to invite neighbors who become family, to sit around a table, share stories, and just be together. We opened up the kitchen, expanded the pantry, took down walls to make the OUR FARMER HOUSE | THE HOME SHOW EDITION

bedrooms bigger, added bathrooms, and modernized the whole home so it works for a family living real life today. In the backyard, we added a full sport court, basketball, pickleball, volleyball, because we wanted this to be a place where kids stay active and neighbors show up to play, not just sit on the sidelines. This is such a walkable, close-knit community, full of legacy families, just steps from Beechwood School, which is one of the best schools in the state of Kentucky. Beechwood Road itself is historic and iconic, and we wanted every decision we made to honor that. This house didn’t just need a renovation. It needed someone to see what it could still be. And honestly, that’s what we hope you take with you as you walk through these

rooms today. Because if there’s one thing this home proves, it’s that nothing is impossible. Not the house everyone else drove past. Not the space that feels too small, too dated, or too far gone. Every home has a story still waiting to be told, and yours might just be one good idea away from its own revival. That’s the whole heart behind calling this the Beechwood Revival. And we hope it gets you dreaming about what’s possible in yours.

RECIPES

BRING BACK THE DINNER PARTY A Thanksgiving table worth dressing up for by Brooke Farmer OUR FARMER HOUSE | THE HOME SHOW EDITION

9

• 1 (14.75-ounce) can cream style golden sweet corn • 2 teaspoons sugar • ½ teaspoon salt • ¼ teaspoon black pepper • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (omit for lightened swap and nutrition info)

Slow Cooker Honey Dijon Ham

Instructions 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 2. Spray a 2-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray, or butter a cast iron skillet if you're going that route. 3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs. Stir in the melted butter and the sour cream or yogurt. 4. Stir in the corn muffin mix, both corns, cheese, sugar, salt, and pepper until just combined. 5. Pour into the prepared dish and bake until the center no longer jiggles and the top is golden brown, 35 to 40 minutes. 6. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out with just a few moist crumbs, not wet batter. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving so it sets up for clean scoops.

HERE’S SOMETHING we’ve lost a little, the art of the dinner party. Not a big fussy event, but the kind of gathering where you actually set the table. Where the pumpkins are out, the good linens make an appearance, and you take five extra minutes to curl your hair before everyone walks through the door, because you love the people coming, and a little beauty is one more way to say so. This is our Thanksgiving table. Dressed up, full of color, and made for gathering. The recipes on the next few pages are the ones I bring to our table every year. Some are new this season, some are old favorites I make on repeat, but every one of them earns its

spot when the house is full and the table looks this good. So light the candles. Set out the pumpkins. Bring back the dinner party. Pull up a chair, friend. We saved you a seat.

SWEET AND CREAMY CORN CASSEROLE

Serves 8-10 | Prep: 10 min | Bake: 35-40 min Ingredients • 2 large eggs • 4 tablespoons butter, melted • 10 ounces sour cream (or Greek yogurt for a lightened swap) • 1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix • 1 (15.75-ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained, or 2 cups fresh corn kernels

Sweet and Creamy Corn Casserole

SLOW COOKER HONEY DIJON HAM

Serves 10-14 | Prep: 15 min | Cook: 4-6 hrs (low) + 3-5 min broil Ingredients • 8-10 pound spiral ham • 1 cup brown sugar • ½ cup honey • ¼ cup Dijon mustard • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves • ¼ cup fresh orange juice • 2 tablespoons butter • ¼ cup water Instructions 1. Spray the bottom and sides of a slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. If your ham is too large for the lid to close, trim a bit from the flat side or turn it onto its side to fit. 2. Unwrap the ham and discard the glaze packet.

3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, orange juice, water, and ground cloves. 4. Bring a small saucepan to medium heat and add the sauce. Simmer, whisking occasionally, until it just starts to bubble. Stir in the butter until melted and glossy. 5. Using two forks, gently separate the layers of the ham, making sure not to entirely pull

it apart but instead create space for the sauce. 6. With a basting brush, generously add the sauce in between the layers of the ham and cover all sides of the ham. Place the ham in the bottom of the slow cooker. Cover with the remaining sauce. 7. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, basting with the sauce occasionally as it cooks, until the ham reaches 140°F

internal temperature on a meat thermometer. 8. For a caramelized top, transfer the ham to a broilersafe pan, brush with the remaining sauce from the slow cooker, and broil 3 to 5 minutes until glossy and lightly charred at the edges. Watch closely so it doesn't burn. 9. Allow the ham to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Music THE  BETWEEN US A song our family wrote together, and the hope behind it

We

ALL WANT the same thing for our kids, don’t we. We want them healthy. Safe. Brave enough to become whoever they’re meant to be. We picture the life ahead of them, the good one, the whole one, and we’d do almost anything to hand it to them. I feel that pull every single day. I want my kids to chase whatever lights them up, whether that’s college, a trade they love, a family of their own, or a stage with a microphone on it. But if you asked me the one thing I hope for my children most, it’s this. I want them to know Jesus, and I want them to know heaven is real. Because life is shorter than we think, and the sweetest hope I can hand my kids isn’t just a good life here. It’s knowing this isn’t the last place.

That hope is what became a song. “The King Is Coming Home” is a family song, one we wrote together, with Hailey and Daron singing and Ethan on guitar. It’s a reminder that Jesus comes

“We don’t just build homes. We build families.” back for the broken and the brave. For all of His kids. For anyone who’s ever lost someone and wondered if they’d see them again. Our family came together through loss. Daron was married for seventeen years

before his first wife, Ashley, passed away, and I’ve had the honor of being Hailey and Ethan’s mom for the last decade. I brought my son Easton into our family too, and together we became a blended family, built through loss and then rebuilt through faith. That’s the heart behind everything we do here. We don’t just build homes. We build families. And one of the ways our family loves to connect is through music, writing and singing side by side, turning what we believe into something we can share. If you’ve ever walked through a loss and wondered if hope was still possible, I hope this song reminds you that it is. If it speaks to you the way it’s spoken to us, scan the code below to listen wherever you stream music.

A PERSONAL REVIVAL 5 small habits to help you feel restored, body, mind, and soul

A Revival For Your Home A quiet blessing

A

HOUSE ISN’T THE only thing that can wear down over time. Bodies get tired. Minds get cluttered. Souls get quiet in ways we don’t always notice until we finally slow down enough to feel it. Revival doesn’t happen all at once, for a home or for a person. It happens in small, consistent choices. A little attention here. A little care there. So if you’ve been running on empty or putting yourself last, let this be your gentle nudge. These five rhythms have helped bring me back to life more times than I can count. Maybe they’ll do the same for you.

Try This Mini Reset One small habit a day. Start where you are.

Read a few verses before you scroll Drink water before coff ee Clear one small space Speak one kind word ove r yourself Go to bed 30 minutes ear lier

May this house be more than a structure. May it be a place that comes back to life, again and again. May the table be set often, and the chairs be filled with people you love. May the porch light stay on for one more neighbor, and the coffee always stretch to one more cup. May the rooms that once sat quiet be filled with laughter that echoes through the walls. May you see what others might walk past, the good bones beneath the wear, the beauty still waiting underneath.

Want more encouragement for your body, mind, and soul? Visit my blog at ourfarmerhouse.com

And may that same vision turn inward. May you see your own life the way you saw this house. Not too far gone. Not beyond repair. Worth every bit of the work it takes to bring it back.

5 SMALL HABITS TO HELP YOU FEEL RESTORED

Let this be a revival. Not just of walls and windows, but of dreams you set down, of hope you thought had run out, of rooms in your own heart you didn’t know could still be lived in. 1. WAKE BEFORE THE HOUSE DOES

A few quiet minutes before anyone needs you can change the whole shape of your day. I like to sit with coffee, read my Bible, and pray before the noise starts. A revived life starts with a revived morning.

14

2. FEED THE BODY THAT CARRIES YOU Your body is doing so much for you. Feed it like it matters. I start most mornings with protein and something nourishing, not because it’s trendy, but because it steadies my energy and my mood for everything that follows.

3. DECLUTTER ONE SMALL SPACE

You don’t have to renovate your whole life to feel new again. Clear one drawer. One counter. One corner that’s been bothering you. Physical clutter has a way of clearing mental clutter right along with it.

OUR FARMER HOUSE | THE HOME SHOW EDITION

4. SPEAK LIFE OVER YOURSELF

We’d never talk to a friend the way we sometimes talk to ourselves. Try speaking encouragement over your own life, out loud, like you mean it. Revival often starts with what we choose to believe about ourselves.

5. GO TO BED LIKE IT’S SACRED

Rest isn’t laziness. It’s revival. Treat your bedtime like it matters, unplug a little earlier, and let sleep do the restoring work it was designed to do.

May your home become your favorite place to be, because it holds not just your things, but your people. Because a house is never just a house. It’s the place revival gets to happen, one gathered table at a time. OUR FARMER HOUSE | THE HOME SHOW EDITION
