Kerbside collection top tips Please place your blue, pre-paid TCDC rubbish bag on the ground at the kerbside for collection on the morning of the scheduled pick-up day, not hanging from a tree or pole or left in a cage. Bags left hanging from trees or poles, or placed in cages, will not be collected. This is because removing these bags adds to the collection time so sometimes not all bags get picked up as scheduled. There have also been occasions when staff have been injured by sharp objects inside bags hanging from trees or poles. If you’re leaving town before collection day, drop rubbish in blue bags and recycling for free at one of our Refuse Transfer Stations. Please don’t overfill your glass recycling crate. Crates filled beyond the rim won’t be emptied. Check the top of your wheelie bin for what can go in it for recycling.
