lIMA HOME PRIDE
Homeowners recognized for outstanding properties
The Lima Pride Home Awards Program recognizes property owners who have enhanced the beauty of our community by undertaking exterior improvements to their home, rental property or business. Award winners are selected by Property Maintenance Code Inspectors.

Selected properties must (1)meet current Lima Property Maintenance Code standards, and (2) exemplify pride in ownership and provide a model of maintenance for the neighborhood. Also, the property owner may not have any property maintenance violations on any property they own.
Award winners are presented with a Lima Pride Home Plaque containing a picture of their home, and a Lima Pride Home Award winner yard sign to be displayed at their property until the next winner is selected.

Mayor Smith wraps up Walking the Wards
After five months, walking the wards with the Mayor has come to an end. Since February, we have walked over 25 miles and talked with over 40 citizens who participated in these walks. while walking, we heard great things about what is going on in the community and learned what people’s visions are for the future of their neighborhoods. On these walks, anything from Street Department to Code enforcement related questions were asked. As there was always Code enforcement staff with us on these walks, there were 92 issues reported. Once the walk was over, Code enforcement worked to address the issues. As of now, 42 of these issues have been resolved, while the others will be monitored until complaisance has been met. For each walk, we selected a local business, church, or organization to meet and debrief at. we are grateful for those who let us use their establishments while walking the wards. To the people who joined us on these walks, we thank you!!! we are thankful for the stories of history that you have told us and the dedication that you have to making your neighborhood better moving forward!
