Step 1: Renewing your Mission PATRICK MORIARTY, Executive Director, Institute of Community Directors Australia It’s the board’s responsibility to set the direction for the organisation and to ensure that the end point – mission achievement – is in clear sight at all times. If your work is driving your organisation’s mission rather than the other way around, or you’re being constrained or going around your organisation’s constitution, you’re doing it all wrong. Step 3: Renewing your Faith When the Time Bomb Goes Off PAUL RONALDS, CEO, Save The Children In late 2014, 10 Save the Children workers on Nauru were deported after being publicly maligned by allegations that they were coaching asylum seekers about self-harm so they could be medically evacuated. Those claims have now been soundly debunked and the workers “indubitably exonerated”. But what happened to and within that venerable organisation in the 15 months in between? In this keynote presentation CEO Paul Ronalds provides his insights on how to lead an organisation through a crisis.
