Tell us about Jakob Legal.

We believe we are not your typical Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Elder Law, and Probate Law firm. We provide a human touch for our Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Probate Clients. We make our clients feel at home with our “Giving hugs and holding hands” approach. Our goal is to take the fear out of the Estate Planning or Probate process. We want to hear our clients say, “that was Easy!” or “now I can sleep tonight knowing my family is protected.”

Sounds great! Estate planning can be stressful for families. Why did you focus on this area of law?

When my father passed away, I noticed how unprepared my mother was to deal with the loss. My promise is to help families organize and prepare for the future so their family and friends have a complete understanding of what their loved one wanted and how to go about handling the passing with the least amount of additional stress.

I have dedicated my legal career to helping people as if they were my own family. I ensure that my clients are treated with the respect, professionalism, and empathy that every person deserves.

That is inspiring. What should a new client expect from Jakob Legal?

We hope to go beyond the traditional law firm experience by trying to provide a “wow” experience to each client. We do not just prepare a pretty Estate Plan binder and say goodbye; we make sure our clients understand the plan they have put in place and are given all the organizational tools for a successful plan.

Our clients will always meet with an attorney, usually myself for Estate Planning, or our Staff Probate Attorney, Erika, who also is Bilingual and works with clients who are more comfortable speaking Spanish. We are a close-knit team and work well together. We strive to enjoy every day with a fun-teamwork approach and atmosphere

Our clients range in age from 18 to 106! We make sure to tailor our representation to each client’s particular needs. For Estate Planning, anyone who wants to protect their family or assets is our typical client.
