The Rose & Dean Sklar Team have been the top producing sales team for Coldwell Banker in all of Broward County for the past four consecutive years, with over $1 Billion in Closed Sales.
They have been the top producing sales team in the City of Weston for 15 years straight and decided to take their expertise to Fort Lauderdale. We sat down with co-team leader, Rose Sklar to learn more about their success and the Fort Lauderdale real estate market.
Tell us about your move into the Fort Lauderdale market.
We have over two decades of success helping people to buy and sell homes. We sailed through the crash of 2008 and also remained at the top of our game during the pandemic. Our unique approach focuses on the preparation of the property for top dollar, including staging and renovation, with a focus on return on investment. We create an individualized marketing strategy for each client to get the most eyes on the property via digital, print, and social media advertising.
With our track record of closed sales year after year we wanted to bring our expertise to the City of Fort Lauderdale. In the past few years, we noticed a trend of relocations from Weston to the East side of town, which is why we are expanding our footprint into the Fort Lauderdale market.
After our kids moved out and we became empty nesters, we purchased a property in Fort Lauderdale and split time between our office in Weston and Fort Lauderdale. While we made this transition, we realized that many local clients, as well as people from New York and New Jersey, were making the move to the beach as well! We have joined the South Florida Boat Club and are Season ticket holders at the Broward Center of the Performing Arts.
Your real estate career is impressive. What makes you so successful?
Making connections, attending community events with a laser focus on building relationships, and building trust along the way. For Rose, who thrives on social interaction and hosting impactful gatherings, and Dean with his myriad of hobbies, including Golf, Boating, Cars, Photography, and Astronomy. It is kind of a crazy real estate market now. What advice to you have for clients?
Our market is shifting quickly. The crazed days of 20+ offers where the agents had to make excel spreadsheets to handle the negotiations are gone. We are now on a level playing field currently in a more normalized market. Fewer multiple offers The homes that are still selling fast are the renovated homes. Buyers realize the value of the work, particularly because of continued rising costs for renovations, product scarcity, and the difficulties in finding good/reputable/ timely contractors.
