His Story Today is the day God called Kenneth Ray Ancar, Sr. home. He was a beautiful person inside and out. On March 24, 2017 you had an interview with God, he needed someone in heaven to watch over his angels and on this day the position was filled. You will be missed by many.

We know that you didn’t want to leave us but your tasks were done and your mark was left in our hearts. So, take your wings and fly high Pop. Kenneth “Pop” Ray Ancar, Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, was born on April 2,1948 to the late Stella Ancar and the late Faddo “Tonko” Williams. He was a native of Plaquemines Parish, LA.

Kenneth was a graduate of Sunrise High School. After graduation, he began a life-long career in the oil and gas industry. Kenneth was a devout Catholic and member of St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.

Kenneth leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Latashia Borden-Ancar; three children, Kenneth, Jr. (Yvette), Krystal and Keina; four grandchildren, Kourtney, Lakendra (Samuel), Kabriel and Kenneth, III; three great grandchildren, Samiya, Samuel and Sahmad; fifteen siblings, Elvin, Jr., Jules, John, Ronald, Violet, Viola, Leonard “Peanut”, Geraldine, Sheila, Wanda, Alfreda, Gaynell, Annette, Oliver, Jr. and Victoria. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Stella Ancar and Faddo “Tonko” Williams; three siblings, Greg Thomas, Cheryl Williams and Diana Williams; his former wife, Sheila “Mom” Ancar; granddaughter, Kennedy Ancar and his mother-in-law, Willie Lee Houston who passed away on the same day.

If Tomorrow Starts Without Me… If tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not here to see, If the sun should rise you find your eyes all filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn’t cry the way you did today, While thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say.

I know how much you love me, as much as I love you And each time that you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too.

But when tomorrow starts without me please try to understand, That an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand.

He said my place was ready, in heaven far above

And that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly love.

But as I turned and walked away a tear fell from my eye.

For all my life I’d always thought, I didn’t want to die.

I had so much to live for, so much left yet to do.

It seemed almost impossible that I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays the good ones and the bad.

I thought of all the love we shared, and all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday, just even for a while, I’d say goodbye and kiss you and maybe see you smile.

But then I fully realized that this could never be, For emptiness and memories would take the place of me.

I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last And since each day is the same there’s no longing for the past.

You have been so faithful so trusting and so true.

Though there were times you did some things you knew you shouldn’t do.
