Meet Krissy Watson, Mortgage Loan Originator, Popish Mortgage Group

Krissy Watson is a Mortgage Loan Originator at Popish Mortgage Group at Universal Lending Corporation and also is an inspiring mother. Krissy was selected as Favorite Mortgage Lender in Broomfield in the 2023 Our Broomfield Our Favorites Survey. We chose her this month in honor of Mother’s Day.

About Krissy: I am a native to Colorado, and I enjoy raising my family in this beautiful state! Honesty and integrity, along with determination and dedication, are philosophies that I strive for in all aspects of my life. I have a passion for helping individuals meet their goals through thoughtful preparation and planning. Prior to joining the mortgage industry, I was a dedicated leader insales and customer service in the hospitality industry.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

A: I have an 11-year-old son and a 2-year-old fur baby!

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

A: I began my career in sales back in 2006, in the sales world and quickly advanced into managerial and leadership roles by 2007. I have always advanced very quickly with each position I have held. I have a passion for helping others grow and leading teams to success. I am competitive, especially with myself and strive to be better than I was the day before. Currently, I am a Licensed Mortgage Lender with a top producing team in Westminster. What I love most about what I do now, is the massive positive impact that I can have on people’s lives.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

A: 5280 Burger Bar is my #1! They have fantastic food and service. They go above and beyond and you can always see them helping within the community. I also love Northside Tavern and Proto’s in Arista!

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?

A: I am a CO native but I have lived and worked here for over 8 years.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

A: My son and I love watching La Brea and all things Harry Potter.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

A: You are 100% in control of your life and you truly can be anything you want to be!

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

A: Sara Blakely, the CEO and Founder of Spanx. She started with nothing and revolutionized the industry. She is also a huge philanthropist. We would go to 5280 Burger Bar and have a relaxing lunch, where I could pick her brain for her amazing ideas.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

A: The people! This is a very friendly place to live and I feel lucky to live here!
