I believe that Architecture is a very broad subject and allowes individuals to expand their knowledge in many aspects. The projects thorughout my university experience has been challenging yet rewarding, developing my interest towards the relationship between the context and the built project, as well as the relationsip between the project and the environmental aspect. My projects tend to be more focused on the conceptual point of view with the related sketches which I believe is the most crucial element of the developing project as it puts direct thoughts to paper. Zahra Hadid’s quote is very relevant to the way in which I work. I embrace hybrid forms, hybrid functions and contrasting matters that creates unexpected spaces that suscitates curiosity within the visitor.

Social Skills I have always liked event organizations and being part of the active citizenship. I was a member of the municipal council of the students, during middle school and after in High school. This role came with great responsibility, however with a good organization we were able to overcome challenges that we faced. Retail work and waitressing also reaffermend my social skills as i had to interact with a variety of customer.

This project is about the pavilion we have designed for the Milton Common Competition. Milton Common is an open public space located to the east of Portsea Island. The area is prone to erosion and flooding hence the addition of the Rip Rap rocks added to its coast line. The pavilion project is a group project in which i contributed with the handrawn A2 boards, models, sketches and final design contrivution (the function for the pavilion). In the competition we came second.
After looking at the precedents, we went on to make a range of concept models in order to understand the form of the structure and understand which one looks and works best. The picture shows a range of styles and shapes but however not all of them suit or function to the brief we have been given. From these models we picked 3 designs from which we critically evaluated in order to pick one design that would be developed further until its fully buildable in real life. When looking at these models we had to consider what the weight load would be like, how the visibility would be, what the form looks like and if its buildable as well as materiality in order to come up with the most suitable one that fits the site and its functionality purpose. To conclude with, the group felt that design 3 could is the one that could be worked with adding changes in certain places to develop it to a fully functional product. All 3 designs had similarities with some having a more form aspect than function and therefore functionality needs to be prioritized before form is added to it and therefore design 3 was a form that is workable with compared to the other 2 designs.

The frames are evenly set apart in order to allow easy calculation of how further or closer the water is from the land as well as water marks left on the frame allowing to calculate the gap between the water and height of the land. Other educational aspects of the pavilion are its panoramic view of British landscape as well as a view to various types of wildlife within the area for example the range of birds in Milton Common enables the activity of bird watching in the area. Each of the frames are tilted to a unique angle resembling the movement of the water surface it sits on. Each of the frames are attached to each other in its critical points to enable stability and the flow of stress through the structure enabling balance of stress to prevent a certain part taking too many loads leading to a catastrophe. The roof will be a tensile type to allow less weight load on the frames preventing excess addition of total weight to the pavilion. The frames were decided to be made by a water insoluble wood called ‘Glued Laminated Timber’ which was the most appropriate considering other types of wood would absorb the water not only making the structure heavier but also leading to high amounts of maintenance. After further developing the pavilion, we tilted the frames, each one having their own unique stance to resemble the flow of the waves in the ocean. Furthermore, we added a tensile roof inspired from German structural engineer Frei Otto. The use of tensile made sure that the pavilion functioned as it is intended to while keeping its weight to a minimum. Instead of having a platform with a single width throughout from beginning to the end, we decided to have it narrower at the entrance and expand to the end allowing for more than one person to enjoy the view of the landscape on the East of Portsmouth.

The Peckham Sensory Puzzle opened our exploration to an urban scale project, an urban strategy which addresses future problems with the designs created. The design proposed thought me to also value the enviromental points of view with researches and applications of adewquate structures and enviromental strategies. The project is situated in Peckham and is a strategy to accomodate the population growth and new ways to be enviromental friendly.

This maps are one of the first steps into my urbarn strategy proposals for the area of Peckham. I have researched the aspects in which I want my urban strategy to focus : sensorial experience and relative art presence. The first area analysis focuses on the senses and the main spots where these are present. I have also represented the sences through a diagragram that shows the intensity of the senses and if they are existing in the area or not. The bottom map analysis lists the art presence in Peckham, visual and non visual ,music, drama and food market. This analyises the intensity of the different arts .
DESIGN ACTIONS
1st ACTION - PEDESTRIANIZING RYE LANE AND INCLUDE GREEN SPOTS IN THE AREA; - NEW TRANSPORT ROUTES IN YELLOW.
2nd ACTION - CREATION OF STRUCTURES AROUND THE CITY; -MIXED USE SPACES MOSTLY LOOKING TOWARDS ARTS ACTIVITIES. -ELEVATED SQUARES AND SQUARES.
3nd ACTION - USE THE MESH STYLE USED IN THE STRUCTURES TO COVER CERTAIN BUILDINGS. -THIS MEMBRANE WOULD ALSO COVER THE TRAIN LINE AND BE A VERSATILE ELEMENT

PANOPTES: Argus Panoptes (All-seeing; Ancient Greek: *ργος Πανόπτης) or Argos (Ancient Greek: ργος)is a many-eyed giant in Greek mythology. This represents the VISUAL GAME WITHIN THE PROJECT. The project calls for a hybrid building containing at least 30 dwellings and other functional components. The functional component should also improve the residential program or the local neighbourhood. The hybrid residential building should be designed to adapt to our changing living circumstances, and should also consider future financial needs of residents. It should create an atmosphere of a shared society and collective wellbeing.This is represented by the range of housing units .

HYBRID PROJECT: FORM : Game between contrasts and opposites in terms of form. Straight and curvy lines that reflect the dynamicisma of Peckham.

FUNCTION : The building will accomodate a variety of function which it will make it hybrid. Residential function: 30 dwellings, youth and social activities spaces, reception, shops with training points and production and exhibition space. FEELING : The building will suscitate different emotions within the visitor, a mixture of feelings due to the different forms and hidden and unexpected spaces, such as courtyards and secret gardens.

A4 studio is our third year studio which took care of the final year exhibition. At A4 - the teams are devided into studio leaders( that had they’re own teams), design team (which i was part of),branding team (which i contributed to), fabrication team and admin team. I have really enjoyed this project as it did challenge my creativity, i have contributed to the branding with some ideas and took the pictures of the team for the following website, instagram and booklet and the final design of the exhibition. My main focus for the exhibition was to make it interactive for the visitors, with a different exhibition system, as in the visitor would themself engage with the different projects displayed.
