August 1 | OU application opens at apply.ou.edu
Your admission application also serves as your scholarship application. Visit go2.ou.edu/scholarships to see OU’s scholarship offers.
October 1 | FAFSA opens at fafsa.gov
You can begin filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid in October. We recommend you submit the FAFSA as early as possible to maximize your opportunities for federal financial aid. Make sure you list OU as a school to receive your information. OU’s Federal School Code is 003184.
November 1 | Early action admission deadline
Students who apply by November 1 will receive priority admission and consideration for merit-based scholarships and financial aid.
November 12 | Housing contract opens at housing.ou.edu
By completing a housing contract, you are one step closer to locking in your spot for room selection, which opens in the Spring. All first-year students must live in freshman-designated university housing for two semesters. With a variety of communities, floor plans, and amenities, you can explore all of OU’s housing options at ou.edu/housingandfood
December 15 | Final scholarship admission deadline
Apply by December 15 to be automatically considered for OU’s merit-based scholarships.
February 1 | Final admission deadline
Students who apply after February 1 will only be considered for admission on a space-available basis.
February 1 | Honors College priority admission deadline at ou.edu/honors
You must be admitted to OU before you can apply to the Honors College.
February 2 | Registration opens for New Sooner Orientation at ou.edu/newsooner
New Sooner Orientation takes place in the summer. During NSO, you will meet with an academic college’s advisor, enroll in classes, and learn about resources to help you find success during your time at OU.
May 1 | Submit the enrollment deposit at commit.ou.edu
This $250 deposit tells us you want to attend OU! If you decide to attend another university, you may request a refund through May 1.
June 15 | Final day to register for New Sooner Orientation
To register for New Sooner Orientation, you must first set up your OU account and submit your enrollment deposit.
June 30 | Official test scores and college transcripts with concurrent/dual credits deadline
If you applied with self-reported ACT/SAT/CLT scores, you must have your official test score report sent to OU directly from ACT, the College Board, or CLT. If you have concurrent/dual credit, you must have your official college transcript sent directly to OU.
