Interpreting The Figures
igures matter. In the Anambra APC Primary election in 2021, Andy Uba ‘scored’ 230,201. In the general election he scored 43,285 votes. This absurdity appears to be the template used in the APC primary last Saturday in Osun.
A well regarded program on national television on Sunday afternoon referred to the purported margin of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in Saturday’s primary election of the APC as audacious. Could this have been a Freudian slip? For audacious in this context can be interpreted as suspicious. History is made under pre-existing conditions. For this reason, empirical evidence comes in handy in evaluating at times concocted reality.
