We start first on a positive note by acknowledging the very prompt intervention of the government of the State of Osun and the Security Services in quelling the disturbances which took place recently in Ile-Ife. Had both institutions not acted firmly, fairly and decisively, the outcome would have been far worse. Commendations for the
intervention have expectedly come in from far and wide. A good example is the Niger Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Mansour Hajj Daddo, who gave great plaudits to the swift intervention by the Governor of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in quelling the crisis.
