11 Arrested As Suspects Attack, Injure Policemen While Trying To Escape

OME policemen investigating a reported case of arson, attempted murder and destruction of properties in Aye town of Ejigbo Local Government Area were attacked by some people suspected to be involved in the case. One of the policemen, a sergeant, was cut with cutlass on his right hand by the suspects, according to the Public Relations Officer, Osun Police Com-

As Incessant Cult Clashes Cause Snare Govt Tasked On Improved Security System

HE incessant clashes between some cult groups in Osogbo, State of Osun, have forced residents of Kolawole and Atelewo areas to abandon their houses and shops. Also, commuters who normally patronise artisans and traders in the area have ceased from going there because of the fear of being victims of the cultists’ violent activities. OSUN DEFENDER visited the area on Thursday around 11am and noted that majority of the shops were closed, while human and vehicular movements on the road were scanty.
