Maestra del Año Teacher of the year Osceola County, FL - Nine years ago, Nanci Brillant left a six-figure salary job in the banking industry to make a difference in the lives of students. From that day forward, she found her passion as an outstanding educator. In recognition of her ability to tap the potential that lies within each student, Nanci Brillant, a Reading and College Readiness (Reading and Writing) Teacher at St. Cloud High, has been named as Osceola School District’s 2013 Gaylord Palms Teacher of the Year at an awards ceremony on March 16, 2012, hosted by the Education Foundation - Osceola.
Condado Osceola, FL - Hace nueve años, Nanci Brillant dejó un empleo en la industria de la banca, con un salario de seis cifras, para hacer una diferencia en la vida de los estudiantes. Desde ese día en adelante, encontró su pasión como educadora excelente. En reconocimiento a su habilidad de ver el potencial que existe dentro de cada estudiante, Nanci Brillant, una maestra de Lectura y de Apresto para Colegio Universitario (Lectura y Escritura) de la Escuela Superior de St. Cloud, fue nombrada Gaylord Palms Maestra del Año 2013 del Distrito Escolar de Osceola, en una ceremonia de premios el 16 de marzo auspiciada por «Education Foundation» para Osceola. La Sra. Brillant se ha distinguido como una de las maestras más responsable y dedicada, teniendo un maravilloso conocimiento de todas las facetas del programa de estudios y el talento de saber cómo mostrar ambos exitosamente a sus estudiantes, todos los cuales han tenido un éxito mínimo en lectura. Ms. Brillant has distinguished herself as one of Osceola’s most dependable and dedicated teachers, having both a wonderful command of all facets of the curriculum and the gift to know how to present them successfully to her students, all of whom have had minimal success in reading. With her own unique style, Ms. Brillant manages to establish rigor, relevance, and relationships so soundly among her students that they show up for after-school and Saturday morning tutoring sessions on their own accord. For the fall 2011 FCAT Reading retake, 74% of her seniors passed and/ or made gains on their first attempt
