Puerto Rico News El gobernador Scott: La Patrulla de Carreteras de la Florida despliega asistencia policial a Puerto Rico Departamento de Policía de Puerto Tallahassee, FL - El Gobernador Rick Scott anunció la utilización de 50 miembros de la Patrulla de Caminos de la Florida a Puerto Rico en respuesta a un pedido del Pacto de Asistencia para el Manejo de Emergencias (EMAC) del Departamento de Policía de Puerto Rico. Los uniformados que participen en este detalle llevarán a cabo operaciones de seguridad y control de tráfico en la ciudad de San Juan y sus alrededores. La labor está programado para durar un mes. El gobernador Scott dijo, "Florida sigue comprometida a ayudar a Puerto Rico después de la devastación del huracán María. Gov. Scott: Florida Highway Patrol deploys law enforcement assistance to Puerto Rico Tallahassee, FL – Governor Rick Scott announced the deployment of 50 Florida Highway Patrol members to Puerto Rico in response to an Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) request from the Puerto Rico Police Department. Troopers participating in this detail will be conducting security operations and traffic control in and around the city of San Juan. The detail is scheduled to last one month. Governor Scott said, “Florida remains committed to helping Puerto Rico after the devastation of Hurricane Maria. In response to their request, we are sending 50 FHP troopers to assist the
Puerto Rican Police Department with their security operations and traffic control needs. I want to thank these brave men and women for sacrificing time away from their families during Thanksgiving to serve in Puerto Rico. We will continue to work with state, federal and local partners to assist Puerto Rico in any way that we can.” As part of its mission and statutory authority, the FHP routinely provides assistance to fellow law enforcement agencies following natural disasters or emergencies, and will not overextend its available resources or jeopardize its ability to respond to a current or emergent need.

Osceola County - Irma News Información sobre FEMA y localidades para depositar escombros fueron cerrados Condado Osceola, FL – A pesar de que continúan en efecto los esfuerzos de recuperación relacionados al huracán Irma, se ha reducido la demanda en las cuatro localidades designadas para el depósito de escombros y desechos causados por el huracán. Esto conlleva a la decisión de cerrar dichas localidades después del domingo. Estas localidades fueron abiertas como una opción para los residentes que no quisieran esperar por el recogido a domicilio de escombros causados por el huracán en septiembre. Pero, oficiales han notado que después de dos (2) meses, y con solo un 15% de escombros por ser recogido, la actividad de depósito de escombros ha disminuido considerablemente a tal nivel que ya no tiene sentido mantenerlos abiertos. El recogido de escombros a domicilio continúa en efecto. Contratistas han recogido más de 135,000 yardas cúbicas de escombros dejados por el huracán Irma. El departamento de desperdicios sólidos del condado Osceola puede contestar cualquier pregunta sobre la forma correcta de disponer de los escombros, llamando al 407-742-7750. FEMA information Citizen debris drop-off sites closed Osceola county, FL – While recovery efforts related to Hurricane Irma continue, decreased demand at four free citizen hurricane debris drop-off sites has led to a decision to close them after Sunday. The sites opened as an option for residents who did not want to wait for curbside pickup of hurricane debris in September. But officials noted that after two months – and with only an estimated 15 percent of total debris remaining to be collected – activity at the sites dropped to a level where it no longer makes sense to maintain operations. Curbside collection continues. Contractors have collected more than 135,000 cubic yards of debris left by Irma. The County’s Solid Waste Department can answer any questions about the proper way to dispose of debris at 407-742-7750. Other hurricane recovery information ·FEMA’s “Regional” Disaster Recovery Center, at 2250 N. Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, is available to any who need its services – including Hurricane Maria survivors.
The current hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Telemundo 5K in Kissimmee los muchos que asistió al Telemundo 5k vino de Brasil para estudiar inglés en el Valencia College y ahora viaja a diferentes estados en los Estados Unidos para asistir a muchos 5ks y maratones para apoyar diversas causas y para mantenerse activo a la edad de 75. Vive del lema "mens sana in corpore sano", una mente sana en un cuerpo sano, lo que significa que una persona solo está sana cuando está ocupada tanto intelectual como físicamente. Gran éxito el primer 5K de Telemundo Orlando Kissimmee, FL – El sábado 18 de noviembre en el Lake Front Park en Kissimmee, se llevó a cabo el primer 5K de Telemundo Orlando el cual se convirtió en un día familiar, con todos los presentes manteniéndose activados con las diferentes disciplinas de ejercicios que abarcó el evento desde Kissimmee. “Dedicación” es la palabra que mejor puede describir el ambiente de furor que se vivió en el primer 5K de Telemundo Orlando, el Lake Front Park recibió a cientos de participantes que corrieron o caminaron por la causa que los motivaron a terminar la carrera. Con participantes de todas las edades, a las 8 a.m. salió la multitud a disfrutar de su prueba deportiva. The first 5K of Telemundo Orlando was a means a person is only healthy when great success Kissimmee, FL - On Saturday, November 18 at Lake Front Park in Kissimmee, the first Telemundo Orlando 5K was held, which became a family day, where everyone was staying active with the different exercise disciplines that covered the event in Kissimmee. "Dedication" is the word that can best describe the atmosphere of rage that was experienced in the first Telemundo Orlando 5K, the Lake Front Park received hundreds of participants who ran or walked for the cause that motivated them to finish the race. The ages varied at this event from kids all the way to the elderly. It was inspiring to see everyone come together for such a great cause especially from other countries. Mr. Fernandes, one of the many who attended the Telemundo 5k came from Brazil to study English at Valencia College and now travels to different states in the U.S to attend many 5ks and marathons to support various causes and to keep himself active at the age of 75. He lives off of the motto “mens sana in corpore sano,” a sound mind in a sound body, which
they are occupied both intellectually and physically. In an unprecedented event on the Hispanic television of Central Florida, the talents of Hola Ciudad TV along with the Telenoticias Orlando reporters team were the communicators of the event in a two-hour broadcast from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. live on Telemundo and Facebook Live simultaneously. With participants of all ages, at 8 a.m. the crowd left to enjoy their sporting event. The circuit was completely flat, a few meters from the lake, with the route connecting the adjacent residential areas of the park. Throughout the race was formed the fastest platoon, the most conservative and then the walkers. One of the figures of the race was Abraham, one of the children battling the cancer disease, representing the organization Whipping Childhood Cancer. Part of the profits were granted to this entity. Thanksgiving / Dia de Acción de Gracias Brigada anual de la cesta de acción de gracias Celebration, FL - La Rosa Realty celebró su brigada anual de la Acción de Gracias el sábado, 18 de noviembre de 2017, que proporcionó a las familias de todo el condado Osceola y del estado con cestas de diversos artículos alimenticios. Annual Thanksgiving Basket Brigade Celebration, FL — La Rosa Realty held its annual Thanksgiving Basket Brigade on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 which provided families across Osceola County and the State with baskets of various food items. The baskets were donated by staff, Illuminate Church, Housing for All, Tommy Hilfiger, Osceola School District and community members who provided families in need with essential food items for thanksgiving.
The event was extremely successful, it more than doubled the number of baskets since 2016 (516 baskets) with an impressive 1,425 baskets donated. Osceola School District graciously contributed 300 baskets and each basket was sent out to underprivileged families. Within Osceola County alone, community members and other organizations donated over 900 baskets to various families.

Sheriff & Police - Noticias / News Secuestro y Robo de vehículo Condado Osceola, FL - El 21 de noviembre de 2017, aproximadamente a las 8:50 a.m. oficiales del condado respondieron a un reporte en 2751 Emerald Island Boulevard, sobre un robo de auto. Se trata de un hombre negro que secuestró a una mujer después de huir de un automóvil blanco que había tenido un accidente con otro vehículo rojo. Car Jacking/Robbery Osceola County, FL - On November 21st, 2017, at approximately 8:50 a.m. deputies responded to the area of 2751 Emerald Island Boulevard, about a report of a carjacking. Dispatch advised of a black male who carjacked a female after fleeing from a white car following a vehicle accident with another red vehicle. Upon arrival deputies contacted the victim who advised a black male wearing a light-colored tank top approached her vehicle at the entrance of Emerald Island and asked to use her phone. She advised she did not have a phone and suggested he go to the clubhouse. The male then reached into the car and attempted to open the door and she stopped him. The male then pulled out a firearm, pointed it at her and stated repeatedly, “Get out of the f#*%@$ car”. The victim was in fear the male was going to shoot her, so she complied and requested to get her infant child out of the vehicle. The suspect told her to get the baby out of the vehicle and leave.
The passenger of the vehicle was also ordered to get out of the car and she advised the male grabbed her arm to take her phone away, but he was unsuccessful as she pulled away and got out of the vehicle. Both victims advised after the male got in the vehicle, a light skinned black female entered the passenger seat and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The baby was taken out of the vehicle by the victim.Through investigative techniques the stolen vehicle was located abandoned in Hunters Creek area, near John Young Parkway and S.R. 417. A female matching the suspect description was located during the extensive search of the area. The female was detained and identified as the passenger suspect in the stolen vehicle. The female suspect was identified as Amber Dangerfield (4/25/96). The male suspect remains at large and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in this case.

Officer hit by fleeing motorist, fire shot St. Cloud, FL – On November 19th, 2017 at approximately at 5:0 p.m., the St. Cloud Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area Cypress Grove Court. The suspect vehicle fled the traffic stop, striking the officer. The officer fired at the suspect vehicle striking the driver’s side window. In an interview with Jordan Fisher’s parents, viewed on Tuesday, they mentioned that Fisher was constantly the second runner up in competitions until he had his big break in Hamilton.
