Su trasfondo profesional lo ha capacitado para esta encomienda que hoy recae sobre sus hombros. Estoy seguro de que podré contar con él para fortalecer nuestra relación con la diáspora puertorriqueña en la Florida”, destacó Hernández Mayoral. Anteriormente, el nuevo Director designado se desempeñó en varias posiciones dentro
del Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico. El señor Cáceres Pérez fungía como Oficial Comunitario de la Oficina Regional de la Florida desde su inauguración desde el 2013. Además, el designado fue Ayudante Especial en el Senado de Puerto Rico del 20052011, Ayudante de Programación y Calendario del Presidente de la Cámara de Representantes de Puerto Rico y Ayudante Administrativo del Sargento de Armas en la Cámara de Representantes del el 2001-2004. State News Defensores de la Salud Infantil Agradecen a Legisladores de la Florida por Niños inmigrantes Tallahassee, FL — Cerca de 17,000 niños inmigrantes residentes legales en la Florida podrían pronto ser elegibles para cobertura de seguro de salud subsidiado a través de ‘Florida KidCare’. La Casa de Representantes de la Florida, votó unánimemente el 3 de marzo, para pasar el proyecto de ley 89 impulsado por el Rep. Child Health Advocates Thank Florida Lawmakers for Immigrant Kids Tallahassee, FL — Nearly 17,000 lawfully-residing immigrant children in Florida may soon be eligible for subsidized health coverage via Florida KidCare. The Florida House of Representatives on March 3 voted unanimously to pass Rep. José Félix Díaz‘s House Bill 89, which would allow lawfully-residing immigrant children to enroll in free or low-cost health coverage through the Florida KidCare program, removing a five-year waiting period previously in place. The bill benefits significantly from increased matching funds at the federal
government as a result of the Medicare Access and Chip Reauthorization Act (MACRA) passed in April 2015, drawing down nearly $29 million federal dollars to cover these children. The bill has no fiscal impact to state general revenue, and savings from the Emergency Medical Trust Fund offsets any cost to the state for covering these children. City of Kissimmee Offers Counselor-InTraining Program Kissimmee, FL — The City of Kissimmee is offering a CounselorIn-Training (CIT) program this summer, for youth going into 9th thru 12th grades. This training program prepares students to assist the summer camp counselors at Camp Discovery and gain job related experience while earning community service hours. Candidates must submit a completed CIT application along with two references, a school photo, a $25 application fee and undergo an interview process for selection. Chosen applicants must attend the mandatory training on Tuesday, June 7 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. to be eligible to participate. Applications are being accepted now. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 15. Students who successfully complete six out of eight weeks will be refunded their $25 application fee upon completion of the program.

Apopka, FL - Un grupo de los miembros de la caravana de la campaña ¡Somos Florida! hizo una parada en Apopka, en su camino a Tallahassse para realizar este viernes, una ceremonia de velorio y funeral ficticio de los proyectos anti inmigrantes que se lograron detener en esta sesión legislativa que finaliza el viernes 11 de marzo. La caravana conformada por trabajadores inmigrantes, votantes y líderes comunitarios, inició su recorrido, el martes 8 de marzo en Miami, luego pasó por Bonita Springs, llegando el 9 de marzo a Tampa y Apopka donde se le unieron más miembros en su viaje a Tallahassee. El liderazgo republicano en la legislatura de la Florida propuso un total de nueve proyectos de ley que criminalizarían a las comunidades inmigrantes y continuaría separando a las familias. Dos proyectos de ley pasaron en el piso de la Cámara de Representantes, incluyendo el proyecto de ley HB 675 que pretende obligar a los gobiernos locales y las agencias del orden a cooperar con las autoridades federales de inmigración, y el proyecto de ley HB 563 que afecta a las familias inmigrantes que tienen miembros

Apopka, FL - A caravan group from the We are Florida! campaign made a stop in Apopka, on the way to Tallahassse for a fictional funeral on Friday for antiimmigrant projects, that have been stopped this legislative session which ends on Friday, March 11.
The caravan made up of immigrant workers, voters and community leaders, began its journey on Tuesday March 8 in Miami, then moved on to Bonita Springs, arriving on March 9 in Tampa and Apopka where they were joined by more members for the trip to Tallahassee. The Republican leadership in the Florida Legislature proposed a total of nine bills that would criminalize immigrant communities and continue separating families. Two bills passed on the floor of the House of Representatives, including the bill HB 675 that seeks to force local governments and law enforcement agencies to cooperate with federal immigration authorities, and the bill HB 563 that affects immigrant families who
have members with different mixed immigration status by decreasing the temporary monetary assistance they could receive if they are eligible. Since the legislative session began, the We are Florida! campaign, part of the Florida Immigrant Coalition, has led the fight. For the duration of the legislative session, they visited the offices of lawmakers and senators requesting their support to oppose these laws; They also collected signatures that were delivered to legislative leaders and promoted calls from constituents to their state and local representatives. The current property appraiser is Katrina Scarborough who is seeking reelection.
Julius A. Melendez (R) Debidamente autorizado por el Estado de la Florida como Corredor de Bienes Raíces, Instructor de Inmuebles y Administrador de Asociaciones Comunitarias. Se graduó de UCF y de la Universidad de Phoenix, Recinto del Sur de Orlando con una Maestría en Administración de Empresas. Julius sirvió como médico de combate en la Guardia Nacional de la Florida dos veces en Irak y Kuwait. En el 2008, fue elegido miembro de la Junta Escolar del Condado Osceola. Bright Ideas Bright House Networks anuncia al ganador del Bright Ideas STEM from Today’s Youth Orlando, FL - Bright House Networks ha nombrado a Hannah Verma de Longwood, Florida como la ganadora de su Gran Premio en el programa Bright Ideas STEM from Today’s Youth 2016. La competencia multiestatal, ahora en su segundo año, reta a los estudiantes de escuela superior a crear inventos que hagan de nuestro mundo un mejor lugar para vivir. This multistate competition, now in its second year, challenges high school students to dream up inventions to make our world a better place. To qualify, students must show how science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) can bring their ideas to life.
The finalists’ projects were selected from entries submitted by 165 teen innovators in Bright House Networks service areas nationwide. A total of 168 businesses and nonprofits pitched in to promote the competition, and educators and school administrators took the lead in encouraging students to participate. Entries featured innovative ways to solve many of their communities’ and the world’s most pressing challenges, from keeping our food and water safe, treating pain, fighting disease and preventing sports injuries to paying for college, finding jobs, protecting endangered species, making our roads safer and more.
16 year old Hannah from Lake Highland Prep took home the Grand Prize for her Bright Idea Verma Hygiene Mister. Hannah and four other finalists from across the country competed headto-head on TV in front of a studio audience at the Finalist Pitch Event, March 2, in Orlando, Fla. The stem extends roughly a foot above ground with long, narrow, ribbed, green leaves, and white or yellowish-green flowers. The underground stems of the ginger plant are used for cooking and medicinal purposes. In Asia, ginger is used to treat stomach aches, nausea, and diarrhea. Ginger extract is found in many dietary supplements sold in the United States for digestive ailments. Common forms of ginger include fresh or dried root, tablets, capsules, liquid extracts, tincture and tea. The following are summaries of evidence from the National Institutes of Health about treatment of a variety of ailments with ginger: Motion sickness - Some studies report that ginger has no effect on motion sickness, and other studies say that ginger may reduce vomiting, but not nausea. More studies are needed comparing ginger to other drugs used for motion sickness Nausea and vomiting from pregnancy - Early studies suggest that ginger may be safe and effective for nausea and vomiting of pregnancy when used at recommended doses for short periods of time. Nausea from chemotherapy - Initial research reports that ginger may reduce the severity and length of time that cancer patients feel nauseous after chemotherapy. Other studies show no effects. More study is required to confirm these results. Post-surgical nausea and vomiting - Some studies report improvement in nausea or vomiting after surgery if patients take ginger before surgery. However, other research shows no difference. Additional studies are needed.

Sheriff - Noticias / News Detectives arrestan 4 sospechosos por Invasión de Hogar y Secuestro en East Lake Reserve Condado Osceola - El 8 de marzo, los detectives del Sheriff del Condado Osceola, en conjunto con el Servicio de Alguaciles de los E.U. y el 9no Circuito Judicial Fiscal del Estado, detuvieron 4 sospechosos por su participación en un allanamiento de morada que tuvo lugar en la subdivisión East Lake Reserve. Gerald Bell, Darryl Battle, Renorah Laird y Angel Barnes fueron acusados de Invasión Armada a un Hogar, Secuestro, Agresión Agravada con un Arma Mortal y Robo Armado de Auto. La investigación está en curso con cargos adicionales pendientes. El 29 de enero, aproximadamente a las 2:10 a.m., los agentes respondieron a una residencia en Rachel Lin Lane en la subdivisión East Lake Reserve en St. Cloud. Detectives Arrest 4 Suspects for East Lake Reserve Home Invasion/Kidnapping Osceola County – On March 8, Osceola County Sheriff's detectives, in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Service and the State Attorney 9th Judicial Circuit, arrested 4 suspects for their involvement in a home invasion that took place in the East Lake Reserve subdivision. Gerald Bell, Darryl Battle, Renorah Laird and Angel Barnes were charged with Armed Home Invasion, Kidnapping, Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Armed Carjacking. The investigation is on-going with additional charges pending. On January 29 at approximately 2:10 a.m. deputies responded to a residence on Rachel Lin Lane in the East Lake Reserve subdivision in St. Cloud. Upon arrival, they spoke with a mother and her teenage daughter, who indicated they had been held against their will. On Thursday, afternoon, the daughter was at home watching television when her mom's boyfriend was forced into the residence by multiple suspects. The suspects tied up the girl and her mom's boyfriend. The girl said at one point they covered her head with a pillowcase and she was unaware of what occurred after
that time. At some point, some of the suspects left with the boyfriend and the others stayed at the residence. At approximately 8:00 p.m. the girl's mother came home and the suspects immediately tied her up and held the victims at gunpoint. Shortly after 1:00 a.m., the suspects left the residence and the mother and her daughter were able to run to a neighbor's house and report the incident. A short time later, St. Cloud Police officers notified the Sheriff's Office they located the vehicle belonging to the mother. The car was on Rummel Road and an individual, later identified as the mother's boyfriend was tied up in the backseat. He was taken to a local hospital and was treated for minor injuries. After further investigation, detectives identified Bell, Battle, Laird and Barnes as suspects. They determined the incident was isolated and the victims were targeted for money. Felony warrants were obtained for the suspect and, on March 8, detectives located all four suspects in Osceola and Orange counties. They were arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail.

Orlando Magic deja escapar sus esperanzas de llegar a las finales Orlando, FL - El equipo ha sufrido tres derrotas consecutivas. Last Friday, the Magic hosted the Phoenix Suns and looked to get a win in before their western road trip and extend their winning streak from 1 to 2. The Suns were looking to end a 17 game losing streak. The Magic got off to a decent start but couldn’t hold on through the second quarter. The Suns, like most other teams in the NBA, were much more physical. They took control and dominated the paint. That plus a poor shooting night from Orlando and you have the beginning of a new losing streak. The 84 to 102 loss against the Suns was disheartening. But the Magic needed to
refocus before facing the Golden State Warriors. It was a historical night for Steph Curry and the Warriors. Curry is the first player in NBA history to make 300 3 point shots in one season. The 119 to 113 victory over Orlando was Golden Sates’ 45th consecutive home win, another record for the NBA. The remaining games will not be easy. The Magic will face the Cavaliers and the Raptors, the number 1 and 2 teams in the East. They will face the Miami Heat three times and the Charlotte Hornets two more times. Both are playoff ranked teams. The Orlando Magic can and should win some of these games. They did it at the beginning of the season.

Orlando City finalmente tuvo su primer partido en casa Orlando, FL -, ¡Y la ciudad de Orlando estaba preparada! Un poco más de 60,000 aficionados llenaron el Citrus Bowl para crear otro ambiente electrizante. Orlando enfrentó al Real Salt Lake en su primer partido de la temporada. Orlando City finally had their home opener Orlando, FL - And the city of Orlando was ready! Just over 60,000 fans filled the Citrus Bowl to create another electrifying atmosphere. Orlando took on Real Salt Lake in their season opener. The first 10 minutes of play were hard to watch. City seemed unable to control the ball during their possessions. The Lions got an early advantage when Demar Philips of Real Salt Lake got his second yellow card in the 20 minute of play forcing Real Salt Lake to play down a man. But just 6 minutes later, Real Salt Lake would get on the scoreboard off a penalty kick. The Lions created some good opportunities but could not find their equalizer. Moments before halftime, Darwin Ceren was issued a questionable red card for rough contact. Both teams opened the second half with just ten men. Orlando looked much more in control and it showed with their continued
shots on goal. But they were unlucky. In the 66 minute of play, Real Salt Lake doubled their lead off a remarkable play and easy tap in. Frustration and desperation seemed inevitable for Orlando but the men stayed calm and played with aggression. Orlando had opportunity after opportunity but could not finish. The referee called for 5 minutes of stoppage time after the 90 minutes. What seemed like a heartbreaking loss all vanished in the 94th minute. Brek Shea found Cyle Larin who took one touch to strike in the ball into the back of the net. Moments later, Servando Carrasco sent a long ball up the field. Both Larin and Adrian Winter were there. Winter beat the remaining defender and sent a powerful shot into the net with not a moment to spare. It was truly a last chance effort for Orlando City. Tonight, the Lions host the Chicago Fire and will look to give fans their first home win.

Haberse involucrado sentimentalmente con dos mujeres dentro de la casa no le favoreció, no fue vista con buenos ojos su relación inicial con Iselis y luego con Maday eso lo dejó como un hombre poco serio en el amor, con el agravante que tenía su relación formal afuera con su novia Jasmine.
4. Finalmente, a Dante su estrategia en un principio funcionó a tal punto que se perfilaba como uno de los ganadores de la competencia, pero con el paso de las semanas su estrategia comenzó a fallar por razones de convivencia y por la debilitación de su grupo, convirtiéndose en el octavo expulsado de la competencia.
