School District's ongoing curbside meal program consolidating to 13 school sites through end of second semester To ensure that students have nutritious meals while learning at home, the Osceola School District's School Nutrition Services Department will continue to provide FREE breakfast and lunch to digital learning students and all children 18 years and under who are not attending in person classes through May 28, 2021. Meal distribution for the curbside program will be revised to only the following 13 school sites beginning on February 2, 2021: Meal pick-up can be at any of the above locations while school is in session on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Washington — President Joe Biden sent a immigration proposal to Congress after his sworn in ceremony on Wednesday, January 20th. A bill that would provide a path to citizenship for an estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States. The proposal would need to be approved by Congress, which balked at similar reforms proposed by former President Barack Obama in 2013. But the plan, which also would immediately protect millions of people from being deported, marks a dramatic shift from President Trump's hardline policies that made life increasingly more difficult for people living in the country without legal status. The proposal calls for a fast-track to citizenship for young "Dreamer" immigrants brought to the country by their parents, as well as certain farm workers and past recipients of Temporary Protected Status — such as people who fled wars. This group would be able to get green cards immediately and could apply for citizenship after three years. Other undocumented immigrants could apply for green cards after five years, and then three years afterward could apply for citizenship. In all cases, immigrants would need to pass background checks and pay their taxes. The Biden administration is under pressure from immigration activists to take broad steps to protect those in the United States illegally, concerned that Biden won't move fast enough on campaign pledges. Their unease dates back to 2008 when the Obama administration pursued priorities other than immigration reform early in his term when Democrats held the majority in both the House and Senate. Biden's plan would focus on family reunification and also increase the diversity visa program, which the Trump administration sought to eliminate, boosting available spots to 80,000 visa per year, up from 55,000 visas. The bill also calls for $4 billion to be spent over four years on aid to El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras to help the nations address problems spurring migration to the United States. The bill also would replace the term "alien" in U.S. immigration laws with "noncitizen."

According to the final rule, airlines will be allowed to recognize emotional support animals as pets, rather than service animals, and permits airlines to limit the number of service animals that one passenger can bring onboard an aircraft to two service animals. Those traveling with service or emotional support animals should contact their airline directly for specific guidelines as it relates to their flights and travel plans.

All air travelers entering the United States required to test negative for COVID-19 Orlando, FL - In a sweeping effort to combat the spread of COVID-19, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has announced that all air passengers entering the country will be required to produce a negative COVID-19 test prior to admittance. A negative viral test, required to be taken up-to three calendar days before arrival to the United States, is required for everyone 2 years or older. This new requirement was announced last week and goes into effect January 26. Previously,U.S. citizens were not required to obtain a test before returning to the country. Orlando, FL - In response to an observed proliferation of disruptive conduct aboard aircraft, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has amended its Compliance and Enforcement Program to provide harsher sanctions for offenders. The FAA reports the negative behavior ranges from failure to comply with mask regulations to aggressive conduct stemming from the violence at the U.S. Capitol.

The FAA announced its special emphasis enforcement program will more effectively address and deter unacceptable behavior from passengers. The program imposes civil penalties on passengers aboard U.S.-registered aircraft, who assault, threaten, intimidate or interfere with a crewmember in the performance of their duties. Offenses include: • Interference with a crewmember • Physical assault or threatening physical assault on a flight or cabin crewmember • Physical or threatened assault on individuals other than crewmembers • Sexual assault or threatened sexual assault • Acting in a manner that poses imminent threat to the safety of the aircraft

Festejado en muchos países del mundo y en la mayoría de América latina, el Día de Reyes es una festividad reconocida por diferentes culturas, como una manera de recordar cuando los reyes trajeron regalos de oro, incienso y mirra al niño Jesús.
Se realizó una rifa de bicicletas que se dieron cada 5 minutos.

Orlando, FL – On January 13, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Commissioner of District 5 Regina I. Hill, Councilmembers and development partner, Creative Village Development, LLC, laid the cornerstone for the new Luminary Green municipal park in the Creative Village.

“Cuando visualizamos la Villa Creativa hace más de 15 años, imaginamos un vecindario que brindara a los residentes nuevas oportunidades de educación, carreras, negocios, vivienda y comunidad”, dijo el alcalde de Orlando Buddy Dyer. “Al mirar a su alrededor y ver el nuevo campus de UCF Downtown y Valencia College Downtown, los nuevos edificios residenciales que están terminados o en progreso, EA Orlando Studio y ahora Luminary Green en construcción, no se puede negar que hemos logrado grandes avances juntos en el cumplimiento de esta visión". Luminary Green contará con un césped amplio y acogedor para que los residentes, estudiantes, trabajadores y visitantes se reúnan, jueguen y disfruten al aire libre. "As you look around and see the new UCF Downtown and Valencia College Downtown campus, the new residential buildings that are completed or in progress, EA Orlando Studio and now Luminary Green under construction, there is no denying that we have made great strides together in fulfilling this vision. Luminary Green will feature a large, welcoming lawn for residents, students, workers and visitors to gather, play and enjoy outdoors. The lawn will house recreational events and landscaped areas surrounded by tree shade and seating. Luminary Green will also feature an area dedicated to prominent community figures, those who came before us and whose legacies provided a light for our community to move forward to where we are today and who still inspire us to look ahead and imagine a bright future for our community.

Fue en la cancha del Exploria Stadium de Orlando frente a su similar de Colombia, en un encuentro amistoso. El USWNT lució con casi todas sus estrellas, incluyendo a Megan Rapinoe, Carli Lloyd y Julie Ertz. Pero las estrellas del partido fueron las hermanas Mewis. Samantha se llevó la noche con tres anotaciones, la primera a los 3 minutos de iniciado el partido, tras un gran pase de Rapinoe. El segundo vino al 33’, con un cabezazo fácil tras asistencia de Lloyd. Si Colombia planeaba darle la vuelta en el segundo tiempo, eso se vino abajo en segundos, tras un penal provocado por las cafetaleras.
