Comienza construcción de la nueva Oficina del Recaudador de Impuestos Condado Osceola, FL - El martes, 5 de noviembre, se colcó la primera piedra de la nueva sucursal de servicio del Recaudador de Impuestos del Condado Osceola con un valor de $5.5 millones en Campbell City. La fecha de finalización prevista es la primavera de 2020. Osceola County breaks ground on new Tax Collector’s Office Condado Osceola, FL - The site of a new $5.5-million-dollar Osceola County Tax Collector’s service branch in Campbell City broke ground on Tuesday, November 5th. Construction of the facility is expected to be complete by spring of 2020. The new office will feature more than 160 paved parking spaces and a complete road driving course for on-site license testing. “This community investment will create better access for residents to the services provided by the Tax Collector’s office, while reducing the amount of traffic into and out of the Poinciana area,” said Commission Chairwoman Cheryl Grieb “In the long-run this site
will become a valuable community resource with convenient services and improved public safety.” “We really needed a site where we could offer more services with better access for residents in Poinciana, Campbell City, ChampionsGate, Reunion and Celebration, so I’m really happy the County was able to acquire this site and move forward with construction of the new office,” said Osceola County Tax Collector Bruce Vickers. Located south of Orange Blossom Trail and west of Whispering Pines Boulevard, the 11,000-square-foot service branch is part of a 19-acre vacant property acquired by Osceola County in June of 2018.

Bienvenida Cónsul Juan Sabines y celebración del Dia de Muertos Orlando, FL – El viernes, 1 de noviembre en el Consulado de México en Orlando, se celebró la bienvenida del Cónsul Juan Sabines y a la vez el tradicional Día de Muertos. Se contó con los tradicionales Altares en honor a celebridades, música mexicana, el tradicional pan de muerto con chocolate caliente, y un homenaje al cantante mexicano José José, conocido como el Príncipe de la Canción, fallecido recientemente. También fue la Clausura de la XIX Semana Binacional de Salud 2019- #SBS2019, con la participación de diversas agencias que dan servicios gratuitos para la comunidad. Durante la Clausura, se entregaron reconocimientos a las agencias destacadas en este evento. La bienvenida al Cónsul de México en Orlando, Juan Sabines fue un encuentro con la comunidad, al que asistieron organizaciones, líderes comunitarios, y sociedad civil en general. Entre los asistentes estuvieron, el Representante Darren Soto, el Sheriff del Condado Osceola, Russ Gibson; los Congresistas, Carlos Guillermo Smith, Anna Eskamani y la cónsul de Colombia en Orlando, Claudia María Bustamante entre otros.

El cónsul de México, Juan Sabines, agradeció a la comunidad tan cálido recibimiento, pero sobre todo “al presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador y al Canciller Marcelo Ebrad, quienes tienen presente que hay mucho trabajo por hacer, eso es lo que vengo a ofrecer, trabajo a favor de nuestra comunidad”. El Cónsul Juan Sabines entregó reconocimientos a las organizaciones y líderes comunitarios que pusieron más de una decena de altares a las puertas del edificio principal del consulado, así como premios a los tres primeros lugares, Oscar Pineda, director de la Radio “La Mejor” 1340 AM expresó: “no se recuerda y no encontré otro caso, donde la comunidad solicitara el regreso de un cónsul, y esto se diera, te habla de que el Gobierno de México es sensible a la voz de los mexicanos en el extranjero, que dimos todo nuestro apoyo para esta 4ª Transformación”.

Consulado de México en Orlando Welcoming Consul Juan Sabines and celebrating Day of the Dead Orlando, FL – On Friday, November 1 at the Consulate of Mexico in Orlando, was celebrated the welcoming of Consul Juan Sabines and at the same time the traditional Day of the Dead. There were the traditional Altars in honor of celebrities, Mexican music, the traditional dead bread with hot chocolate, and a tribute to the Mexican singer José José, known as the Prince of the Song, who recently died. It was also the Closing of the XIX Binational Health Week 2019- # SBS2019, with the participation of various agencies that provided free services for the community. During the closing, awards were given to the agencies highlighted in this event. Nadie convence en la Liga de Campeones Ya cuatro jornadas han pasado, y si les soy sincero, no veo a ningún equipo como invencible. De los 11 o 12 candidatos, algunos han sido decepcionantes, otros se han quedado cortos, y otros podrán ganar, pero no convencen a nadie. Comencemos con el Barcelona. Han sufrido en cada partido. Apenas rescataron el empate en Dortmund, vencieron al Inter inmerecidamente, y al débil Slavia Praga no le anotaron en casa. Se han vuelto Argentina 2.0, dependiendo demasiado de Messi, el técnico (Valverde) es duramente criticado, y casi nadie más aparece (salvo Suárez ante el Inter o Ter Stegen ante el BVB). El debut de Griezmann ha sido decepcionante, sin goles ni asistencias en UCL.
