Our Profile Orthotix was established in 2004 in the South Wales valley town of Merthyr Tydfil to manufacture and source affordable ready-made orthotic devices for National Health Service hospitals. Today, Orthotix flies the flag for Wales in a multi-national marketplace, operating out of a newly refurbished 25,000 sq.ft. facility in Cardiff. Clinic Orthotix boasts a modern clinical facility at the Cardiff Headquarters which offers a walk-in Healthcare Assistant fitting service and a diarised Orthotist assessment service. Patients can self-refer and walk-in (Monday to Friday) for non-technical product or book an appointment with an experienced Orthotist for more specialist requirements. Alternatively, patients can also be redirected from hospitals, GP’s, physiotherapists and other Healthcare Professionals. The entire catalogue of Orthotix products are available on site which means that patients can typically be assessed and fitted with a product during their initial appointment.

On receipt of goods, all customers are requested to check their consignment. In the unlikely event that the type or quantity of goods is incorrect then you are required to notify Customer Services within 14 days of the date of delivery.

Authorisation must be issued by Orthotix prior to goods being returned, please contact Customer Services within 14 days for a return reference number. Soiled, custom manufactured, modiﬁed or obsolete goods may not be returned.

Orthotix cannot accept responsibility for an alleged incorrect delivery if our Customer Services Team have not been informed within 14 days.

Goods accepted for return must be in resaleable condition, guaranteed infection free and in the original packaging. Orthotix reserves the right to charge delivery costs and/or a re-stocking fee.

Premium quality soft scoliosis harness manufactured from breathable honeycomb terrycloth fabric. Includes adjustable trimmable hook and loop fastenings located on velour strapping. The 3-point harness design helps to correct and align a scoliotic spine which is passively correctable. Orthosis allows for better alignment of the spine in sitting and standing, which encourages better postural alignment and helps improve mobility and kinematics. Improved postural alignment also aids respiratory, digestive, and circulatory functions. The shoulder and lower lumbar pads help to realign the concave spinal curve whilst the contralateral waist pad assists in correcting the convex curve. Pavlik Harness The Pavlik harness is a soft splint used for treating infants with Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH). Incorporating bib, padded neoprene straps for comfort, and thermoformed velour booties for support. The quick release buckle fastening system enables ease of ﬁtting and adjustment. Suitable for babies with hip dysplasia and requirement for functional lower limb re-alignment up to 2 years old. This allows better joint contact between the hip and femur, strengthening muscles, tendons and allows better alignment as the joint develops.

Double Tibiofemoral De-Rotation Designed to assist with correction of internal/external rotation of both lower limbs, enabling the feet to be in an improved line of progression during gait. Consists of a double strap waist band and two unidirectional elastic straps featuring silicone beads for improved anatomical adhesion. Straps apply spiral traction from the medial side of the foot to the waist, rotating the tibia, femur, and hip in the desired corrective direction. Can also treat external rotation by using the opposing limb straps (use the right strap on the left, and vice versa).

Dynamic Walk Ankle Foot Orthosis The Dynamic Walk is a dynamic drop foot AFO constructed from lightweight carbon fibre composite and peek rods, providing high strength and flexibility allowing patients to undertake daily activities with ease. The revolutionary thermoplastic carbon fibre material exhibits the strength and stability of carbon fibre coupled with the re-formable attributes of thermoplastic. This enables the reshaping and trimming of the composite material to suit individual patient requirement. The peak rods are key to the Dynamic Walk's lifting action and flexibility. When a patient's ankle is in a 90° position, the rods are held out of their unloaded position and will use that stored energy to actively lift the foot at the initiation of the swing phase. The ability of the peek rods to be moved beyond the 90° position enables the patient to easily plantarflex. This ensures that everyday activities such as crouching, walking up or down stairs, driving etc. are all possible without the need to adjust or remove the orthosis. Simple to don and doff.
