THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN WITH THE NEW HOLY MARTYRS

The savior of thousands of innocent children, Mrs. Diana Budisavlejvic, wife of the most famous Surgeon from Zagreb, Julije Budisavlevic, as depicted in the Monastery today.

The Monastery of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist in Jasenovac “Wonderful Holy Martyrs of Christ, Heavenly flowers from the banks of the river Sava, innocent Lilies of our Saint Sava’s genus, Your Holy wreaths, as a constellation of the stars, adorn the sky of the church through baptismal history and illuminate our path into Resurrection.

Pray to Christ the one who carried the Cross first and the Leader on our path to the Kingdom of Heaven, to give the world repentance and eternal salvation to all.”

THE THIRD LARGEST DEATH CAMP IN WWII, JASENOVAC is also the least known in the west. For over 50 years there were only a handful of references for Jasenovac in Western museums and books about the Holocaust and all attempts to introduce this unprecedented torture place to wider number of people have been “welcomed” by a barrage of denial, deception and deliberate distortion of facts.

Despite all efforts to minimize the monstrous number of victims in Jasenovac and its surroundings, more than 90.000 names of victims have been identified and more than 12.000 children between 1-12 years of age. In reality, between 1941-1945 in the so called Independent State of Croatia, (NDH), hundreds of thousands of innocent people where, tortured and slaughtered by the Nazi collaborators Ustace. Almost the whole Romani population was exterminated, tens of thousands of Orthodox Christian Serbs and at least 20,000 Jews. Old Catholic Priests where massively killed, together with Roman Catholic antifascists and partisans.

For the Ustace Leaders and Rulers of the Independent State of Croatia very few people of all inhabitants residing in the territory before the war should stay alive.

The people that according to them where not “proper citizens” should not be expelled but exterminated!

…hurt by the past, sadly quiet.

Many houses, torn apart and empty.

We know six elderly women who were in the concetration death camps as children.

What used to be a martyred village church is now a rebuilt Monastery Church of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist, where God is worshiped day and night.
