EXPOFRANCE 2025, le comité qui gère la candidature de la France à l’organisation de l’Exposition Universelle 2025 à Paris a des objectifs très ambitieux : "Le contexte actuel plaide en faveur d'une nouvelle ambition territoriale à rayonnement mondial.

La France a besoin d'un grand projet qui confirme sa vocation dans la mondialisation, fixe ses axes de croissance et stimule son attractivité. L'organisation d'une exposition universelle en 2025 concrétiserait cette ambition" déclare Jean-Christophe Fromantin, le Président d'EXPOFRANCE 2025. Ce n’est pas un hasard si EXPOFRANCE 2025 a choisi Strasbourg pour le lancement officiel de la candidature française. Le 28 mai dernier, la signature d’un partenariat avec la Ville et l'Eurométropole de Strasbourg, le Département du Bas-Rhin et la Région Alsace est venue concrétiser cette volonté de s’adresser au monde entier (et à l’Europe, plus particulièrement) à partir de Strasbourg. Le premier acte de la campagne de promotion de la candidature française à travers le monde a donc eu lieu dans la capitale européenne et, bien évidemment, Strasbourg s’en réjouit. Les Alsaciens ne sont pas les seuls : trois chiffres (sondage IFOP réalisé fin avril dernier) confortent la pertinence du projet EXPOFRANCE 2025 tel qu’il est conçu aujourd’hui : 74% des Français apprécient que la candidature engage toute la France. Et 53% des Français partagent l’idée qu’un tel événement engendrera un bénéfice économique pour le pays. 80% des Français pensent que l’Exposition universelle permet à tous les territoires de rayonner. Parmi ces territoires, Strasbourg, l’Européenne, et l’Alsace seront donc les plus chauds partisans de la candidature française durant les trois prochaines années, d’ici que le choix définitif soit acté…

EXPOFRANCE 2025, the committee that handles the nomination of France for the organization of the Universal Exposition in Paris in 2025 has very ambitious goals: "The current situation calls for a new territorial ambition with global reach. France needs a large project that confirms its role in globalization, sets its axes of growth and boosts its attractiveness.

The organization of a world exhibition in 2025 materializes this ambition, "said Jean-Christophe Fromantin, president of EXPOFRANCE 2025. It is no coincidence that EXPOFRANCE 2025 chose Strasbourg for the official launch of the French bid.

On May 28, the signature of a partnership with the City and Eurometropole Strasbourg, the Bas-Rhin department and the Alsace region came to realize this will to address the entire world (and Europe, especially) from Strasbourg. Das Organisationskomitee für die französische Kandidatur zur Ausrichtung der Weltausstellung in Paris 2025 hat ehrgeizige Pläne : "Die aktuelle Lage spricht für eine Gestaltung, die die Territorien weltweit zur Geltung bringen soll. Frankreich benötigt ein Großprojekt, das seine Rolle in der Welt zur Geltung bringt, seine Wachstumsziele definiert und seine Attraktivität steigert. Die Ausrichtung der Exo 2025 würde diese Ziele konkretisieren. " Diese Worte stammen von Jean-Christophe Fromantin, dem Präsidenten von EXPOFRANCE 2025. Es ist kein Zufall, dass EXPOFRANCE 2025 Straßburg für den Start der offiziellen Kampagne der französischen Kandidatur ausgewählt hat. Am 28. Mai wurde eine Vereinbarung zwischen der Stadt Straßburg, der Eurométropole, dem Département Bas-Rhin und der Région Alsace unterzeichnet, deren Ziel es ist, sich von Straßburg aus europa- und weltweit stärker zu positionieren. Der erste Akt einer französischen Werbekampagne ist also in Straßburg gestartet. Straßburg freut das. Und die Elsässer sind nicht die einzigen. Drei Zahlen, die das Institut IFOP im April ermittelt hat, stützen die französische Bewerbung. 74% der Franzosen befürworten, dass sie das ganze Land mit ins Boot nimmt. 53% der Franzosen glauben, dass ein solches Ereignis ihrem Land einen wirtschsftlichen Nutzen einbringt und 80% denken, dass alle Regionen von einer solchen Veranstaltung profitieren würden.

Unter ihnen zählen die Europastadt Straßburg und das Elsass zu den glühendsten Anhängern der französischen Kandidatur. Drei Jahre wird es dauern, bis eine endgültige Entscheidung gefallen sein wird.

un autre sur le parvis du Théâtre national de Strasbourg, une soirée thématique au cinéma Star, un street golf contest, une pétanque funcky ou encore un workshop musique assistée par ordinateur et des pelouses sonores !

En têtes d'affiches, cette année, Kenny Larkin, Nightmares on Wax, Julio Bashmore mais également une platine entière de Djs venus des quatre coins du monde : Mark Ernestus' Ndangga Rythm Force (Berlin - Dakar), Flako (Londres), Helpless Louis (Quebec), Marshal Jefferson (Chicago), Mike Huckaby (Détroit), Smoove (Nottingham), Washerman (Zurich), Bangingclude (NYC, Brooklyn), Afro Social Club (Bordeaux) ou encore Grandbrothers (Düsseldorf), duo allemand mêlant habilement musique savante et boucles répétitives touchy martelant des rythmiques constituant des paysages sonores et cinématographiques parmi les plus fascinants du moment.

Douzième édition, déjà, pour le Festival électro-groove Contre-temps, qui semble désormais avoir franchi un cap de notoriété.

Durant 10 jours (et nuits), celle-ci devrait accueillir pas moins de 10.000 festivaliers en si peu de temps. Une belle surprise, pour qui se souvient d'où est partie l'initiative, cloisonnée à ses débuts dans quelques bars de la ville. Aujourd'hui, si l'on analyse la progression en chiffres, Contre-temps ce n'est pas moins de 20 événements et manifestations, plus de 40 DJ Set, 12 croisières lounge apéro mix, 8 concerts, un parcours artistique et des performances street art, un événement open-air gratuit au parc de l'Orangerie, Grandbrothers

Entre italo-dream house, soft rave, proto-techno, prototrip-hop anglais et afro-beat, l'édition 2015 de ContreTemps sonnera indubitablement groove, explorant toutes les profondeurs du genre, à travers la diversité des artistes programmés et de leurs musiques. Profondeurs mais également épaisseur d'un tissu associatif local particulièrement ancré dans les musiques actuelles dans une ville qui, relèvent les organisateurs de l'événement, est « du velours, plein de sillons parallèles, foisonnement des collectifs, des lieux, des univers musicaux, fil conducteur de cette nouvelle édition ». Between Italo-dream house, soft rave, proto-techno, British proto-trip-hop and Afrobeat, the 2015 Contre-temps will undoubtedly sound groovy, exploring the depths of the genre, through the diversity of artists scheduled and their music. Depths but also a thickness of a local material, particularly rooted in contemporary music in a city that, according to the organizers of the event, is "like velvet, full of parallel grooves, groups explosion, places, musical universes, leading themes of this new edition". The opportunity to put all that to music for 10 days, and celebrate together "in a large uproar in real life. Now!".

CONTRE-TEMPS MAKES ELECTRO-GROOVE RESONATE FOR 10 DAYS Twelfth edition, already for the Contre-temps electro-groove Festival, which now appears to have reached a growing notoriety. ZEHN TAGE LANG VIBRIERENDE ELEKTROGROOVES MIT CONTRE-TEMPS Es ist die zwölfte Ausgabe des Festivals für elektronische Musik Contre-temps. Zehn Tage und Nächte lang werden nicht weniger als 10 000 FestivalBesucher erwartet. Wer sich an die Anfänge in ein paar Bars der Stadt erinnern kann, wird angesichts dieser Dimension überrascht sein. Contre-temps hat heute einen nie da gewesenen Bekanntheitsgrad erreicht. Das Programm versammelt in diesem Jahr 20 Veranstaltungen, mehr als 40 DJ-Sets, zwölf Lounge-Kreuzfahrten, acht Konzerte, einen Kunstparcours, Street-Performances, ein kostenloses Open-Air in der Orangerie, eines am Straßburger Nationaltheater, einen Themenabend im Cinéma Star, einen Street-Golf-Wettbewerb, ein Boules-Spiel sowie einen Workshop für elektronische Musik.

S t i m u lt a n i a 33 rue Kageneck www.stimultania.org Jusqu'au 28 juin Natures mortes en noir et blanc épurés, regards d'enfants lumineux magnifiés par l'absence de couleurs superflues, scènes quasi vides aux contours de toiles de maîtres, l'univers d'Ivan Pinkava s'expose jusqu'au 28 juin à la galerie Stimultania - Pôle de photographie - , jusqu'au 28 juin. Photographe d’origine tchèque né en 1961 à Náchod, au nord-est de la Bohême, Pinak, qui vit et travaille à Prague, développe une démarche plastique particulière et un langage visuel qui l’identifie sur le devant de la scène photographique contemporaine. De ses photographies, écrit Barbara Hyvert, en charge des relations publiques de la galerie, « émane un sentiment d’urgence, de désespoir et de frayeur que la lumière et les clairs-obscurs soulignent dramatiquement. La construction des images, l’épuration des mises en scène, les détails subtils et connotés, appellent le visiteur ; ils l’interpellent, le captent et le retiennent, comme pour le rendre attentif à quelque chose qu’il aurait oublié ». A Czech photographer born in 1961 in Náchod, northeast Bohemia, Pinak, who lives and works in Prague, develops a particular plastic approach and a visual language that places him at the forefront of the contemporary photography scene. From his photographs, writes Barbara Hyvert, in charge of public relations for the gallery, "emanates a sense of urgency, desperation and fear that light and chiaroscuro dramatically underscore. The construction of images, purified stagings, and the subtle and connoted details, call out to the visitor; they call him out, capture him and hold him, so as to make him pay attention to something he had forgotten”. VERLASSENE THRONE Puristische Stillleben in Schwarzweiß, leuchtende Kinderblicke ohne überflüssige Farben, entleerte Szenen, die an meisterliche Gemälde erinnern : Sie bilden das Universum von Ivan Pinkava, dessen Arbeiten bis 28. Juni in der Galerie Stimultania zu sehen sind. Der tchechische Fotograf, geboren 1961 in Náchod im Nordosten Böhmens, lebt in Prag und hat eine unverwechselbare Bildsprache entwickelt. « Von seinen Fotografien », schreibt Barbara Hyvert von der Galerie Stimultania, « geht ein Gefühl der Dringlichkeit aus, der Verzweiflung und Furcht, das er mit dem Einsatz von Licht und Hell-Dunkel dramatisch unterstreicht. Der Bildaufbau und die Reinheit der Inszenierung, subtile Details und Anspielungen appellieren an den Betrachter. Shadok 25 Presqu’Ile André Malraux Créer non stop et sous contraintes de thèmes, de formats, de couleurs… Du 11 juin 13h au 12 juin 13h, une vingtaine d’illustrateurs alsaciens, italiens ou venus d’ailleurs relèveront le défi organisé au « Shadok » durant les « 24 heures de l’illustration ». Une heure de visite organisée durant ce marathon de l’image vous permettra de voir ces artistes à l’œuvre à moins que vous ne suiviez leur performance sur 24h-illustration.tumblr.com. Une édition des travaux, réalisée sur place, sera présentée au public en même temps que l’exposition des œuvres originales le vendredi soir, de 19h à 21h.

Récemment poursuivi pour avoir dansé avec un coq relié à son sexe pour mettre en exergue les questions de genre, Steven Cohen ne laisse pas indifférent, entre soutiens sans failles et opposants puritains de la première heure. Installé en France depuis un peu plus de dix ans, l'artiste australien de bientôt 53 ans, aléatoirement qualifié de narcissique révulsé, juif croyant, Africain blanc ou homosexuel aimant se travestir, a fait de la provocation un art, n'hésitant pas à à se produire dans des lieux publiques symboliques, du Mémorial de la Shoah à Ground Zero en passant par le Bidonville de Johannesburg, autant de lieux où il « performe » souvent dénudé et déguisé dans des costumes improbables pour mieux questionner les codes sociaux et moraux et plus particulièrement notre regard sur les questions identitaires et religieuses, le racisme, l'homosexualité ou encore l'identité ethnique, entre « statut de soi » et « place de l’autre ». Autre pan de son art, présenté en marge de plusieurs happenings et workshops organisés jusqu'à fin juin, son travail de plasticien, tout aussi percutant, exposé à la chaufferie jusqu'à la fin du mois du juin.

Cohen scheut sich nicht, sich an öffentlichen Orten zur Schau zu stellen. Vom Memorial der Shoah bis Ground Zero oder einem Slum bei Johannesburg.

Seine Performances bestreitet er nackt oder verkleider. Hauptsache er wirft Fragen zu sozialen und moralischen Codes auf. Er führt uns unseren Blick auf zentrale Fragen vor. Seine Themen sind Religion, Identität, Rassismus, Homosexualität, ethnische Fragen und ganz einfach der Platz des Individuums und die Rolle der anderen. Daneben ist Cohen aber auch Bildhauer. Seine Arbeiten sind bis Ende Juni in der Straßburger Chaufferie zu sehen.

Anfangs wollten die Musiker nur das pakistanische London aufmischen, dachten aber nicht im Traum daran, dass sie inbesondere in Frankreich ein Publikum finden würden. Ihren ersten großen Erfolg feiert die 1993 gegründete Asian Dub Foundation aber tatsächlich hier in Frankreich, das damals von jenseits des Ärmelkanals von einer Welle des Triphop überrollt wird, der zu dieser Zeit fast ausschließlich in Londoner Klubs existiert.

Gegründet hat sich die Formation als Reaktion auf anti-asiatische Gewalt im Vereinigten Königreich und als Protest gegen die British National Party (BNP), die gegen junge Migranten in den Vorstädten hetzte. Soziale und ethnische Themen, eine musikalische Mischung aus Punk, Elektro und traditionellem bengalischem Lied machten aus ihnen nicht nur einen musikalischen Mythos sondern auch ein Symbol des Protests.

Between lived tribal charisma and insured and assumed techno groove, Mark Ernestus' Ndagga Rhythm Force, deliver without a doubt one of the most beautiful aspects of this Afro-European strength of living, which the most ardent fans can continue to appreciate after the Laiterie at Fat Black Pussy Cat for an after show that should not be missed.

RHYTHMUS UND KRAFT DER MUSIKALISCHEN MISCHUNG Mark Ernestus trat 1989 als Pionier des Berliner Techno aus dem Schatten und machte aus der künftigen deutschen Hauptstadt das Epizentrum der elektronischen Musikproduktion. Créé en 1974 entre inspiration MC5esque et Stoogest, Radio Birdman prend aujourd'hui presque des allures d'Out of Time, comme si le casting de Cocoon avait été hacké par une bande d'éternels teenagers figés dans un espace temporel dédié au Rock'n Roll.

Bien plus proche de The Saints que de Nick Cave, les Australiens de Radio Birdman, tels un Michael Keaton filmé par Alejandro González Iñárritu dans le film éponyme étonnent par leur résistance à l'oubli et leur capacité à renaître sur des scènes où nombre de copies synthétiques et botoxées ne tiendraient pas le temps d'une descente de Cascade Brewery.

Heute wirkt die Band mit ihrem Rock'n Roll absolut zeitlos, wie in einer Zeitschleife gefangene Teenager. The Saints stehen die Australier deutlich näher als Nick Cave. Genauso wie ein Michael Keaton im quasi geichnamigen Film von Alejandro González Iñárritu erstaunen sie mit ihrer Widerstandskraft gegen das Vergessen und mit ihrer Fähigkeit, sich neben zahlreichen Botox gestärkten Kopien auf der Bühne neu zu erfinden.

Entre sonorités empruntées à une bande son d'Amicalement Vôtre, ambiances indidouistes sorties du coffre d'un vieux van VW customisé de coccinelles et papillons, l'ensemble surprend pas sa capacité à enchanter et à transporter à travers les âges avec une belle musicalité qui n'aurait guère de choses à envier à l'univers d'un She and I ou d'un Belle and Sebastian.

Avec une French touch en supplément, ce qui ne gâche rien à l'affaire.

FOREVER PAVOT: ATTENTION, SPATIOTEMPORAL FAULT Back to the future melodies, "yiiiii" psycho-tinted psychedelic, for those that frozen masks would finish to ice.

Forever Pavot has all of those little musical UFOs caught between two space times. Between sounds borrowed from The Persuaders soundtrack, Indian atmospheres pulled out of the trunk of an old VW van customized with ladybugs and butterflies, the ensemble surprises by its ability to enchant and transport through the ages with a beautiful musicality that has nothing to envy from the world of a She and I or a Belle and Sebastian. With an extra French touch, which does not hurt the case.

FOREVER PAVOT : ACHTUNG, RAUM-ZEIT-SPALTE Forever Pavot vereint sämtliche Eigenschaften eines musikalischen Ufos, dass zwischen zwei Zeitstufen gefangen ist. Psychedelische Melodien à la back to Future und ein Sound, der sich zwischen selbstgemachten Tapes und indisch angehauchter Stimmungsmusik bewegt, als komme sie direkt aus einem alten VW-Bus. Das Gesamtkunstwerk spricht überraschenderweise für sich, überspringt Altersgrenzen und muss sich neben musikalischen Parallelwelten wie « She and I » oder « Belle and Sebastian » keineswegs verstecken. Und nicht zu vergessen : Ihr French Touch, der selbstredend kein Schaden ist.

Les enfants du baby-boom, celles et ceux qui sont nés au début des années cinquante, se souviennent avec émotion des fameux échanges scolaires franco-allemands qui dès les années soixante ont bien souvent rythmé la vie des collèges des deux pays par l’extraordinaire brassage que cette organisation a suscité. Quinze ans à peine après la fin du conflit de la seconde guerre mondiale, la jeunesse des deux pays commençait le plus spontanément du monde à tourner la page de trois conflits ravageurs et ouvrait ainsi la voie à des relations européennes enfin pacifiées. Ces échanges ont été la partie la plus visible et la plus spectaculaire des conséquences très positives de la création de l’Office franco-allemand pour la jeunesse, directement issue de la signature du Traité de l’Elysée entre Konrad Adenauer, le chancelier allemand et Charles-de-Gaulle, le président de la République française le 22 janvier 1963. L'OFAJ, organisation internationale autonome, est géré par un Conseil d'Administration dont les présidents sont du côté français Patrick Kanner, Ministre de la Ville, de 32

la Jeunesse et des Sports, et du côté allemand la Ministre fédérale de la Famille, des Personnes âgées, des Femmes et de la Jeunesse, Manuela Schwesig. L’Office est aujourd’hui dirigé par Béatrice Angrand, en poste depuis 2009, et Markus Ingenlath qui a pris ses fonctions en janvier 2012. La formation professionnelle, les échanges universitaires, les échanges scolaires et extra-scolaires et l’apprentissage de la langue du partenaire sont les principaux objectifs poursuivis aujourd’hui par l’Office.

Plus d’un demi-siècle après sa création, l’Office franco-allemand pour la jeunesse reste donc un exemple particulièrement remarquable et concret de l’apport des institutions européennes dans la vie quotidienne des jeunes Français et Allemands. Certains rêvent en secret d’une telle organisation, étendue à beaucoup plus de pays membres de l’Union. A l’heure où l’Europe paraît quelque peu en panne dans l’esprit de ses citoyens, pourquoi ne pas imaginer un tel concept ?

The baby boomers, those born in the early fifties, fondly remember the famous Franco-German school exchanges that since the sixties have often marked the life of the schools of the two countries by the extraordinary mixing that this organization stimulated. Barely fifteen years after the end of conflict in the Second World War, the youth of both countries spontaneously began to turn the page on three devastating conflicts and thus opened the way for European relations finally pacified. These exchanges were the most visible and most spectacular of the very positive consequences of the creation of the Franco-German Youth Office, directly coming from the signing of the Elysée Treaty between Konrad Adenauer, the German Chancellor and Charles de Gaulle, President of the French Republic, on 22 January 1963. The OFAJ, autonomous international organization, is managed by a Board of Directors whose presidents are on the French side Patrick Kanner, Minister of the City, Youth and Sports, and on the German side the Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, Manuela Schwesig.

The Board is now run by Beatrice Angrand, in office since 2009, and Markus Ingenlath who took office in January 2012. Vocational training, academic and extra-curricular exchanges, and learning the partner's language are the main objectives today by the Office.

Over half a century after its creation, the Franco-German Youth Office remains a particularly remarkable and concrete example of the contribution of European institutions in the daily lives of French and German youths. Some dream in secret of such an organization, extended to many more countries of the Union. At a time when Europe seems somewhat to be flagging in the minds of its citizens, why not imagine such a concept?

Wer als Kind der Baby-Boomer Generation Anfang der 1950er Jahre geboren wurde, erinnert sich an die ersten deutsch-französischen Austauschprogramme für Schüler ab den 1960er Jahren. Kaum 15 Jahre nach dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs begann die Jugend der beiden Länder in denkbar kürzester Zeit nach den drei vernichtenden Kriegen, die zwischen beiden Ländern stattgefunden hatten, den Weg frei zu machen für ein friedliches Europa. Der Austausch zwischen Jugendlichen beider Länder war das sichtbarste und das wohl spektakulärste Ergebnis der Gründung des deutsch-französischen Jugendwerks. Es war selbst eine direkte Konsequenz aus der Unterzeichnung des Elysée-Vertrages durch den deutschen Bundeskanzler Konrad Adenauer und den französischen Staatspräsidenten Charles de Gaulle am 22. Januar 1963.

Das Deutsch-Französische Jugendwerk ist eine unabhängige Organisation. An der Spitze seines Verwaltungsrates steht auf französischer Seite der Minister für Jugend und Sport Patrick Kanner, auf deutscher Seite Familienministerin Manuela Schwesig. Geleitet wird das DFJW heute von Béatrice Angrand (seit 2009) und Markus Ingenlath, der seinen Posten 2012 angetreten hat.

Heute gehören die berufliche Ausbildung und Lehre sowie der Austausch im Hochschul-, schulischen und außerschulischen Bereich zu den Aufgaben des DFJW. Mehr als ein halbes Jahrhundert seit seiner Gründung lebt die deutsch-französische Institution vor, was europäische Politik im Alltag bewirken kann und dass sie das Leben junger Deutscher und Franzosen zu verändern vermag. Manche träumen davon, Vergleichbares auf weitere Länder der Europäischen Union auszudehnen. Zu einem Zeitpunkt, da Europa in den Augen vieler Europäer an Strahlkraft verloren hat, wurde ein solches Konzept der Union womöglich wieder neuen Auftrieb geben.

Déco noir et blanc où glissent deux chats persans, panneaux de photos au mur et de la lumière comme s’il en pleuvait…

On se sent bien dans l’appartement strasbourgeois d’Elisa Kitson, ancienne correspondante à Paris de grands titres britanniques tels que le « Daily Telegraph », l’ « Independant » ou le « Daily Mail »… Mais comment estelle arrivée en Alsace ? « La crise de la presse a cruellement diminué le nombre de postes de correspondants au début des années 2000, raconte-t-elle, et je n’avais aucune envie de repartir à Londres. » Elle est dès lors restée à Paris pour créer en 2006 le premier « KitSon Bonding Cultures » en utilisant ses « formidables réseaux ». « Il s’agit d’un club explique-t-elle, d’un « Think Tank » atypique où deux invités prestigieux lancent le débat avant un questions-réponses avec le public ». Ces soirées - organisées autour d’un dîner – sont animées par des journalistes spécialistes des problématiques abordées et se déroulent sous le strict mot d’ordre du « Off the record ».

Twitter et Facebook ne font pas partie de l’éthique et chacun respecte les règles du jeu dans l’assistance. « Sans doute parce que les membres sont tous cooptés », précise Elisa.

En 2014, elle s’est lancée un nouveau « challenge » dupliquer l’expérience hors de Paris - et elle s’est installée à Strasbourg d’où elle gère désormais toute l’association. « Je me sens divinement bien dans cette ville, dit-elle.

L’accueil y a été très chaleureux alors que l’on m’avait dit que les Alsaciens étaient froids et fermés. » La dimension européenne de la ville ne lui est pas encore apparue évidente. « Ce sont surtout des Français qui viennent à nos débats mais je compte bien développer mes réseaux locaux déjà fournis ».

Elisa ne nourrit pas de regret pas rapport à son passé de journaliste. « J’ai le sentiment de faire avancer les choses, dit-elle. Nos invités sont des personnes d’influence qui ont beaucoup à partager avec nos membres et qui parfois, saisissent l’occasion de ces débats pour discuter à huis clos. » Au bout de – presque – dix ans d’existence, le « KitSon » compte quelque 142 débats prestigieux à son actif. Le prochain organisé à Strasbourg se tiendra le 15 juin à 20 heures à l’hôtel du bouclier. Il réunira le juge JeanLouis Bruguière et le spécialiste du Moyen-Orient Djilali Benchabane autour du « Djihad au cœur de la République ».

Un thème d’actualité comme tous ceux qu’organise

These events - organized around a dinner - are led by journalists experts in the issues discussed and take place under the strict motto of "Off the record". Twitter and Facebook are not part of the ethics and everyone respects the rules of the game in the audience. "Probably because all the members have co-opted," says Elisa.

In 2014, she set herself a new "challenge" – to duplicate the experience outside Paris - and she moved to Strasbourg where she now manages the entire association. "I feel divinely good in this city, she said. The welcome was very warm when I had been told that the Alsatians were cold and closed" The European dimension of the city has not yet appeared obvious to her. It’s mostly French people who come to our debates but I intend to develop my local networks already well developed" Elisa has no regrets regarding her past as a journalist. "I feel I get things done, she says. Our guests are people of influence who have much to share with our members, and sometimes take the opportunity of these debates to discuss things behind closed doors”.

After - almost - ten years of existence, the "Kitson" has some 142 prestigious debates under its belt.

The next one organized in Strasbourg will be held on June 15 at 8pm at the hotel du bouclier. It will bring together the judge Jean-Louis Bruguière and the Middle East specialist Djilali Benchabane around the "Jihad in the heart of the Republic." A current affairs theme, as all those organized by the association founded by Elisa and chaired by political scientist Antoine Sfeir, director of "Cahiers d'Orient".

Elisa Kitson, ehemals FrankreichKorrespondentin großer britischer Zeitungstitel wie « Daily Telegraph », « Independant » und « Daily Mail », versteht es, in ihrer Wohnung eine angenehme Atmosphäre zu schaffen.

Wie ist sie ins Elsass gekommen ? « Infolge der Zeitungskrise zu Beginn der 2000er Jahre ging die Zahl der Korrepondentenstellen dramatisch zurück », erinnert sich Elisa Kitson. « Ich hatte keine Lust, nach London zurückzukehren. » Sie blieb und gründete 2006 den Debattier-Klub « KitSon Bonding Cultures» und nutzte ihr Netzwerk an Kontakten. «Hinter dem Namen », erläutert sie, « verbirgt sich eine Art Klub, ein Think Tank, bei dem zwei renommierte Gäste debattieren, bevor sie in die Diskussion mit den Gästen einsteigen. » Ihre Soireen organisiert sie um ein Abendessen herum und lädt Journalisten als Moderatoren ein, die auf das Thema des Abends spezialisiert sind. Was gesagt wird, ist strikt «off the record ». Twitter und Facebook bleiben draußen. Wer an einem solchen Abend teilnimmt, akzeptiert die Regeln.

2014 hat sich die ehemalige Journalistin einer neuen Herausforderung gestellt, als sie ihre Erfahrungen jenseits von Paris ausdehnte. Sie ließ sich in Straßburg nieder und leitet ihren Verein seither von hier aus. « Ich fühle mich einfach fantastisch in dieser Stadt. Die Menschen sind herzlich, dabei hatte man mich gewarnt, dass die Elsässer abweisend und verschlossen seien. » Straßburgs europäische Dimension drängt sich aus ihrer Sicht nicht auf. « In erster Linie kommen Franzosen in meine Diskussionsrunden, aber ich habe es fest vor, mein lokales Netzwerk entsprechend weiter zu entwickeln. » Ihrer Vergangenheit als Journalistin trauert sie nicht nach. « Ich bringe Dinge voran», sagt sie. « Unsere Gäste sind einflussreiche Leute, die mitunter die Gelegenheit nutzen, bei uns hinter verschlossenen Türen zu diskutieren. » Zehn Jahre nach seiner Gründung hat « KitSon » auf diese Weise 142 Diskussionen vorzuweisen. Gäste des nächsten Treffens am 15. Juni um 20 Uhr im Hôtel du Bouclier sind der Richter Jean-Louis Bruguière und der Spezialist für den mittleren Osten Djilali Benchabane. Sie sprechen über den « Djihad im Herzen der Republik». Das Thema ist ebenso aktuell wie alle anderen, die Elisa Kitson mit ihrem Verein und dessen Präsidenten Antoine Sfeir, dem Leiter der « Cahiers d’Orient », auf die Agenda gesetzt hat.

« Je suis née à Strasbourg mais, en fait, j’ai grandi à la campagne au milieu des vaches » annonce joyeusement Odile Fischer, 48 ans, la fondatrice de ce restaurant original, ouvert depuis à peine deux mois et qui fait déjà parler de lui pour ses spécialités régionales revisitées à base de l’emblématique Munster. « L’idée est née suite à un voyage à Milan où j’ai découvert un restaurant où tout tournait autour de la mozzarella. Et la formule avait du succès » se rappelle Odile. « Un peu plus tard, ce créateur a ouvert un restaurant du même type à Rome, puis New-York et Londres ! Moi, je ne vise pas aussi loin, si un jour j’ouvre un Mun’s à Colmar, ce sera déjà très bien… » Le Munster (que l’on désigne à tort comme une spécialité seulement alsacienne ou vosgienne alors que son aura s’étend en fait sur sept départements de l’Est de la France) s’accommode avec toutes les viandes et légumes et certains poissons. « Ce fromage a un potentiel phénoménal » poursuit Odile : « je suis en train de répertorier plein de recettes, y compris même pour des desserts avec le produit frais… » Au Mun’s, on peut déguster le Munster chaud dans ses préparations traditionnelles et

originales mais aussi froid à ses différents stades d’affinage ou d’aromatisation. Il accompagne merveilleusement les salades, mais aussi l’onglet, le cordon bleu de volaille, et même le bibeleskäs. La Mun’s Fondue est un best du restaurant, de même que l’assiette fermière avec son jambon de la Forêt Noire…

Ajoutez à cela une atmosphère fraiche et lumineuse côté déco (avec les toiles de Julia Salmon en prime) et vous n’aurez plus qu’à réserver pour une expérience tout à fait originale…

I’m not aiming so high, if one day I open a Mun's in Colmar, it will already be very good..." Munster (mistakenly referred to as an Alsatian or even Vosges specialty whereas it is in fact found across seven departments of eastern France) adapts itself to all meats and vegetables as well as some fish. "This cheese has a phenomenal potential" Odile continued, "I'm currently compiling a full list of recipes, including for desserts with the fresh product..." At Mun's, hot Munster can be enjoyed in its traditional and original preparations but also cold at different stages of refining or flavouring. It goes wonderfully well with salads, but also top skirt, chicken cordon bleu, and even bibeleskäs. The Mun's Fondue is a specialty of the restaurant, as is its the farmer’s plate with ham from the Black Forest...

Add to that a fresh atmosphere and bright decor (with Julia Salmon canvases as a bonus) and all you need to do is book for a completely original experience...

So weit wolle sie nicht gehen, sagt Odile Fischer. « Wenn ich eines Tages ein Mun’s in Colmar eröffne, wäre das schon fabelhaft. » Munster, der zu Unrecht als regionale Spezialität des Elsass und der Vogesen bezeichnet wird, weil er tatsächlich in sieben ostfranzösischen Départements hergestellt wird, ist ein passender Partner zu Fleisch, Gemüse und manchen Fischen. « Dieser Käse hat ein enormes Potenzial », erlärt Odile Fischer. « Ich bin dabei, möglichst viele Rezepte zu sammeln, inklusive solcher für Desserts aus dem frisch geschöpften Käse. » Im « Mun’s » wird Munster heiß in den verschiedenen traditionellen Spielarten serviert. Die Karte bietet aber auch kalte Spezialitäten in unterschiedlichen Reifegraden und Aromen. Munster passt zu Salaten, Filet, Geflügelcordonbleu und sogar zu Bibeleskäs. Zu den Lieblingen der Gäste zählen das Mun’s Fondue, ebenso wie der Bauernteller mit Schwarzwälder Schinken. Denken Sie sich dazu jetzt eine frische Atmosphäre und angenehm hell gestaltete Räume mit Bildern der Malerin Julia Salmon und sie müssen nur noch reservieren, um sich eines besonderen Erlebnisses sicher zu sein.

Le lieu ne paie pas de mine au premier regard. Des allures de petit resto de quartier avec ses anciennes boiseries des 70's face à la rue, une carte que l'on imagine trop expansive pour séduire, une cuisine affichée italo-indienne à faire frémir les habitués régulièrement déçus de ces lieux mixtes, et pourtant. Adossé au 70 avenue des Vosges, le Pierrofino est l'une des belles exceptions du genre par sa capacité à séduire par la qualité de ses plats. Personnel d'origine indienne en cuisine, plus alsacien en salle avec son incroyable serveuse friande de Lotos Bingo organisés aux quatre coins de la région et qui nous ont par le passé régalés par leur improbabilité, le Pierrofino est bien plus qu'une simple adresse culinaire. d'une bien jolie famille recomposée. A la carte, les pizza sont indéniablement parmi les plus savoureuses de la ville, jusqu'à en faire pâlir certaines enseignes affichant fièrement leur identité italienne. Quant à la version indienne, elle n'en est pas moins séduisante et laisse véritablement place au voyage.

Comme si, oui, il était possible de mêler – enfin et dans une bien belle harmonie - deux monuments de la cuisine en un seul lieu. A côté de cela, chacun pourra également y trouver une carte plus traditionnelle entre brasserie et plats locaux. Là encore une réussite qui séduit une clientèle fidèle, de quartier mais pas que... Parce qu'au fur et à mesure des années, l'adresse ne fait plus que se murmurer. Elle se transmet entre amis et commence, l'air de rien à faire le tour de la ville.

THE BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN-INDIAN AGREEMENT The place does not look like much at first glance. A look of small neighbourhood restaurant with old wood panelling from the 70's facing the street, a menu that we imagine too expansive to seduce, an Italian-Indian cuisine to scare those regularly disappointed by those fusion places… and yet. Leaning against the 70 avenue des Vosges, the Pierrofino is one of the notable exceptions of the genre, thanks to its ability to seduce with the quality of its dishes. The personnel is of Indian origin in the kitchen, front room staff more Alsatian with its incredible waitress fond of Lotto Bingo held across the region and that we enjoyed in the past for their improbability, the Pierrofino is more than just a culinary address. It is a little piece of humanity just the way we like it here and of rare personalities that give you the feeling of being invited to the table a happy stepfamily.

On the menu, the pizzas are undeniably among the tastiest in the city, even to the point of shaming some establishments proudly displaying their Italian identity. As for the Indian version, it is no less attractive and truly gives way to travel. As if, yes, it was possible to mix - finally and in a beautiful harmony - two monuments of cuisine in one place. Besides that, everyone can also find a more traditional menu of brasserie and local dishes. Again a success, which sttracts a loyal clientele, local but not only... Because, as years go by, this address does more than being whispered. It is shared between friends and begins to casually make its way around the city.

WO ITALIEN UND INDIEN ZUSAMMENFINDEN Auf den ersten Blick wirkt das Restaurant geradezu unscheinbar. Die Lage direkt an der Straße, alte Holzverkleidungen aus den 1970er Jahren und eine Karte, die zu umfangreich wirkt, um überzeugen zu können. Und die Ankündigung einer italo-indischen Küche lässt uns gemäß unserer Gepflogenheiten erschauern. Aber : Das Pierrofino ist eine dieser berühmten Ausnahmen, weil Qualität und Gerichte überzeugen. Das Team in der Küche ist indischer Herkunft, im Restaurant kümmern sich Elsässer um den Service. Das Pierrofino ist mehr als ein Lokal. Hier begegnet man Menschen, Charakteren, die dem Gast das Gefühl geben, an einen privaten Tisch zum Essen geladen zu sein. Die Pizzen gehören zweifellos zu den besten der Stadt, manches italienische Restaurant würde vor Neid erblassen. Verstecken muss sich auch die indische Küche des Pierrofino nicht auf der Reise in exotische Gefilde. Es ist möglich, zwei kulinarische Traditionen an einem Ort zusammenzuführen.

Dazwischen finden sich ein paar Ausflüge in die regionale und die französische Brasserie-Küche.

Auch dieses Wagnis gelingt und erfreut die Stammkundschaft, die nicht nur aus dem Viertel und den umliegenden Straßen stammt. Im Laufe der Jahre ist das Pierrofino nicht mehr auf Empfehlungen angewiesen. Seine Vorzüge haben sich in der Stadt herumgesprochen.

Cette péniche a toute une histoire. Construite dans les années 1930 pour le compte de l’entreprise belge Solvay qui en a compté jusqu’à 230, elle a transporté du charbon et de la soude avant d’être vendue quand la flotte fut démontée au profit du fret terrestre à la fin des années 1980. Rachetée par François Milon, la « 105 », telle qu’on l’appelait, fut rebaptisée « Cristal’Canal » et devint un lieu de spectacle itinérant avant d’être acquise par le comédien Michel Galabru. Ses propriétaires actuels sont les comédiens-metteurs en scène-mariniers Jean-Max et Christelle Jalin. « Nous étions Parisiens, raconte Christelle, et nous ne cessions de nous échapper pour emmener notre petite fille par monts et par vaux. » Galère des hôtels, achat d’un camping-car pour les week ends et les vacances et puis, petit à petit, goût de l’itinérance et hasard des conversations aidant, germa l’idée de s’installer dans une péniche. Celle de Michel Galabru périclitait après avoir été équipée de fauteuils

de théâtre, on leur en parla et ils finirent par l’acheter en 1998. Sans savoir naviguer… Trois ans de travaux furent nécessaires pour la remettre en état et pouvoir s’installer avec leur fille et son tout nouveau petit frère. Avec leur permis bateau passé en 1999, Christelle et JeanMax étaient devenus totalement autonomes et ils ont pu commencer à vivre des revenus de leur péniche devenue salle de spectacle itinérante en 2005. « Nous donnons quelque 300 représentations par an », confie Christelle. Ça ne fait pas beaucoup de vacances mais elle ne regrette rien et rêve « d’une grande tournée en Europe pour y porter la culture de France et d’ailleurs ». Pour l’heure, la Cristal’Canal est amarrée à Strasbourg non loin de la Cité de la Musique. Le 13 juin, Christelle et Jean-Max y joueront – en duo ! – « Cyrano de Bergerac » d’Edmond Rostand après y avoir donné la veille « Administration quand tu nous tiens ! » de Courteline. Ils repartiront cet été sur le Doubs mais… « il est possible que Strasbourg devienne le port d’attache de la Cristal’Canal ».

Gustavo Feldmann immediately sums up the spirit of" Santa Elena "because if there is but one place far from the standard clichés, this is it. You can eat there "like in a restaurant in Brazil or Buenos Aires," says this young chef born in Argentina, as well his wife, MariaLaura. She took charge of the decoration, sandy and brown, quietly punctuated by objects and photographs from Latin America. Based in Strasbourg for the past five years, they opened the "Santa Elena" in January in the quiet but central rue Sainte-Hélène, on the spot where used to stand the " Chez Esmée". "Our cuisine is contemporary," says Gustavo, "I reinterpret ancestral dishes or I create new ones with traditional ingredients". An example? "The ceviche, raw fish marinated in lime Peruvian style, offered mixed with shrimps and garnished with orange, coriander, ginger, chillies." "Only wild white fish such as cod or bar," says the chef, who also cooks lamb, duck, chicken, Uruguayan meat, salads and "dishes out of the ordinary" such as fish stews or risottos... As for desserts, Gustavo cites as an example a tiramisu - and for good reason, since his wife and he both were born in families of Italian origin - but this is a red fruit tiramisu garnished with a "" Pisco Sour, a cocktail that mixes the lemon-flavored Peruvian and Chilean liquor with sugar cane and an egg.

Intriguing and ... delicious! Chilean, Argentinian, Mexican, Brazilian and Peruvian wines complete the menu. Beer is Argentinian, as well as infusions, and if the colours are in the plates, the sun is in the smiles and warmth of the voice. All without clichés, promised!

VOM LASTKAHN ZUR BÜHNE Dieser Kahn hat eine Geschichte. Erbaut wurde er in den 1930er Jahren für das belgische Unternehmen Solvay.

Das besaß bis zu 230 solcher Kähne und transportierte auf ihnen Kohle und Natron, bis in den 1980er Jahren der Gütertransport auf den Landweg verlagert wurde.

François Milon kaufte den Kahn mit der Nummer « 105 »

und taufte ihn auf den Namen « Cristal’Canal ». Er machte eine Wanderbühne daraus, deren Geschicke zunächst der Schauspieler Michel Galabru lenkte. Das Regie- und Schauspielerpaar Jean-Max und Christelle Jalin kauft ihm den Kahn vor inzwischen 17 Jahren ab. « Wir lebten damals in Paris », erzählt Christelle, « und wollten unserer Tochter möglichst viel zeigen können. » Hotels hatten sie bald satt, sie kauften einen CampingWagen für die Ferien und schließlich bekamen sie Gefallen daran, auf Achse zu sein. Am Ende eines langen Prozesses war die Idee geboren, sich auf einem Kahn niederzulassen. Michel Galabrus Cristal’Canal stand, nachdem er mit Theatersitzen ausgestattet worden war, zum Verkauf. Die Jalins kauften ihn allerdings, ohne mit einem Kahn umgehen zu können.

Außerdem dauerte es drei Jahre, bis er wieder instandgesetzt war und sie mit ihrer Tochter und deren gerade geborenen kleinen Bruder einziehen konnten.

Ihren Bootsführerschein legten sie 1999 ab. Christelle und Jean-Max waren vollkommen autonom. Seit 2005 können sie von den Einnahmen ihres Kahns, der als Theater auch ihr Zuhause geworden ist, leben. « Pro Jahr bestreiten wir etwa 300 Vorstellungen », verrät Christelle Jalin. Ihre freie Zeit ist überschaubar, aber sie bereue ihren Schritt nicht, sagt sie und träumt von einer großen Tournee durch Europa, damit sie die französische Kultur überall hin tragen können.

Zurzeit liegt die « Cristal’Canal » in Straßburg nicht weit von der Cité de la Musique vor Anker. Am 13. Juni spielen Christelle und Jean-Max zu zweit « Cyrano de Bergerac » nach Edmond Rostand. Einen Tag davor steht « Administration quand tu nous tiens ! » von Courteline auf dem Programm. Im Sommer schippern sie über den Doubs. Aber : »Vielleicht wird Straßburg der Hauptanlegeplatz der Cristal’Canal ».

On sent la passion des matières dans la toute nouvelle boutique de décoration qui vient de s’ouvrir rue des Tonneliers. « Aimée.k » comme Aimée Khalil, sa propriétaire, strasbourgeoise d’origine et puis Parisienne et puis à nouveau Strasbourgeoise.

Passionnée de vêtements, celle-ci a longtemps travaillé dans la mode avant un passage comme costumière à l’Opéra de Strasbourg. Toutefois, c’est avec l’envie de faire « tout autre chose » qu’elle a acquis les locaux où elle est désormais installée. De la déco oui, mais aussi des bijoux artisanaux, des étoles et des écharpes, en soie, laine ou coton, des nappes également et des objets alsaciens au charme contemporain. Silhouettes d’enfants tirées des livres de Hansi - avec costumes et coiffes de bon aloi - mais

revisitées en plexi transparent et coloré, peintes de motifs insolites…, les chromos de jadis s’émancipent pour le plus grand plaisir des intérieurs d’aujourd’hui. Côté parfums d’intérieur, l’Alsace est également à l’honneur avec la gamme « Bleu Kelsch » conçue par une chimiste poète qui a su révéler jusqu’aux subtiles fragrances du géranium révélées par une variété… égyptienne. Vases signés en verre fumé, pièces uniques de poterie de Betschdorf, luminaires au prix doux que l’on peut offrir pour le prix d’un bouquet, plats en nacre, en os ou en très belle corne, boîtes en cloisonné et mille autres objets vous attendent dans une boutique où subtilité, décalage et raffinement règnent en maîtres.

"Aimée.k" as in Aimee Khalil, the owner, from Strasbourg, then Paris, and then again Strasbourg.

Passionate about clothes, she has long worked in fashion before a stint as costume designer at the Opera de Strasbourg. However, it is with the desire to do "something else" that she acquired the premises where she is now located. Decoration, yes, but also handcrafted jewellery, silk, wool or cotton stoles and scarves, also tablecloths and Alsatian objects with a contemporary charm. Silhouettes of children from the books of Hansi - with costumes and headdresses of good quality - but revisited in transparent and coloured Plexiglas, painted in unusual patterns, chromos of old emancipating themselves to the delight of today’s interiors. With regards to home fragrances, Alsace is again given pride of place with the range "Blue Kelsch" designed by a poet chemist who was able to reveal the subtle fragrances of geranium revealed by… an Egyptian variety. Vases signed in smoked glass, unique pieces of Betschdorf pottery, affordable lighting that can be offered for the price of a bouquet, pearl, bone or horn plates, cloisonné boxes and a thousand other items await you in a shop where subtlety and refinement reign supremely.

In ihrem Verkaufsraum in de Rue des Tonneliers bietet sie dekorative Gegenstände, handgefertigten Schmuck, Schals und Tücher aus Seide, Wolle und Baumwolle, Tischdecken sowie elsässische Produkte in zeitgenössischem Design an.

Daneben findet man Scherenschnitte von Kinderfiguren aus den Büchern des Illustrators Hansi, allerdings modern interpretiert, koloriert und unter Plexiglas. Das Original von damals emanzipiert sich von der Tradition. Raumdüfte der elsässischen Marke « Bleu Kelsch », die von einer Chemikerin mit Hang zur Poesie gegründet wurde, hat sie ebenfalls in ihr Programm genommen. Die signierten Vasen sind Unikate aus einer Töpferei in Betschdorf. Ihre Leuchten zu bezahlbaren Preisen bieten sich als Alternative zum klassischen Blumenstrauß als Mitbringsel an. Tausen andere raffininierte und außergewöhnliche Dinge warten auf Käufer und darauf, verschenkt zu werden.

ZEITGEMÄSS UND ZEITLOS Die Leidenschaft für schöne Materialien ist überall in der neuen Boutique für dekorative Objekte spürbar. Denn Inhaberin Aimée Khalil war immer schon von Kleidung fasziniert. Sie arbeitete lange in der Modebranche und kehrte nach Jahren in Paris in ihre Geburtststadt Straßburg zurück. Nun hat sie mit dem Wunsch nach einem Neuanfang « Aimée.k », ihre Boutique, nach einer Station als Kostümbildnerin an der Straßburger Oper eröffnet.
