We’re holding a Toy Drive here at Orion for the Kids over at CHOC Children’s hospital of Orange County.
This is something we can all participate in, here’s how: On-site staff, please bring toys to the office where they will be collected. (See Jess in Marketing) Off-site staff, please use Amazon and have items delivered to Orion’s Home Base (address in my signature) We can help these young patients by donating NEW toys, games and other supplies. We can also donate cash and gift cards for the CHOC child life staff to purchase items most needed for our current patients. Due to infection control guidelines and for the protection of our patients, all donations must be newly purchased items. We are not able to utilize used goods. The child life staff has compiled a list of items most needed by our patients.

Teenagers: We are always in need of more activities for our teen population. Manicure kits with nail polish remover, files, etc. Are especially useful for our girls who are in the hospital for extended periods of time. Intricate craft kits (from stores such as Michaels) Wooden items to paint- birdhouses, small boxes, etc. (Michaels) Model kits (snap-together cars, airplanes, etc) Hand held electronic games DVD PG13 ratings (English and Spanish) New release movies only Video games: Wii, Playstation III, X box 360, Game Cube (Rated E & T-nonviolent) Magazine subscriptions: Teen Vogue, Seventeen, People, Bop, J-14, etc. (Mailed to: CHOC Child Life Dept, 1201 W. She has assisted with NOVs while an underwriter transitioned to Orion, worked on files for an underwrite who was out and stepped in to finish a final approval when everyone else had gone for the day at a moment’s notice. Orion Lending Home of the Busy Bees
There’s no team sweeter than ours.
What’s the buzz Jeremy? This past week was the first week of summer for my girls and naturally our home has been a thoroughfare of play dates and sleep overs. The highlight for me comes after a great day at the office and as I pull into the driveway at home… no matter how many goals we accomplished while maximizing the minutes, no matter how many hills we climbed, advancements made, successes shared, potholes repaired and no matter how many challenges we tackled together, it all melts away as I pull into that driveway. Now maximizing the minute’s takes on a whole new meaning for me as I move towards the front door… it’s in those minutes ahead that I down-shift from business to something far more important; My other career... Spending as much unobstructed time with my family. We all throw our heart and guts into this thing every minute here at work, and trust me, that doesn’t go unnoticed…we have something extremely special here, however its exceedingly important you also have unobstructed time to yourself, whether that be with family, or loved ones, or doing something you love. Disconnect, decompress, self-reflect, whatever the proclivity, it’s important you do this, especially as we head into the summer lending run. In terms of our run, we are one of very few companies who continues to execute extremely well, while remaining profitable, growing and capitalizing on strategic opportunities. This is a very challenging business we are in. Finding stability, and moreover, success stories in today’s lending space is increasingly illusive and tough to come by. You are all a part of a very special success story in the making. Each of you has helped write our prologue and the first chapters. It’s just the beginning here and I want to say how incredibly grateful I am to work with and among you all!
