1.What was your first position in this industry and how did you get there?
Oh wow! Lets see... that would have been 16 years ago. I was a Jr. Processor at Wells Fargo during the night shift while attending college. I was so good that they brought me over to days and within 90 days I was processing loans with my own pipeline.... Time Flies when you’re having fun :)
2.What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives? Travel overseas.
3.What’s the best way to start the day? With a cup of Joe :)
4.What movie title best describes your life? Step Brothers.
5.What’s the best way a person can spend their time? Relaxing.
6.What are you looking forward to in the coming months? Purchasing my first home.
7.Where would you spend all your time if you could? At the Beach listening to Beyonce.
8.What do you wish you knew more about?
Myself sometimes LOL! I learn something new everyday!
9.Who inspires you to be better? Myself and My Family.
10.What’s the best and worst piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Best advice received - “Anything is Possible”. Worse Advice - When I was young, Someone told me to follow them. I said “NO THANKS” I’m a leader!!
11.What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned? Patience is a virtue.
12. If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time and why? Spend more time with my family.
13.What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?
I’m not much of a Thrill seeker so traveling the world would be the most amazing adventure to go on for me :)
14.Whats your favorite thing about your team here at Orion? One way or another, we will get the job DONE!!!

Steve Williams 1.What was your first position in this industry and how did you get there?
My 1st job in mortgages was with Long Beach Mortgage in 1994 as a doc processor. I was right out of college and told the Vice President I would take out the trash, clean the office, anything he needed....just give me a chance!
2.What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Travel to a foreign country where English is not spoken and spend time traveling throughout the area. I did this in parts of Asia and it was awesome.
3.What’s the best way to start the day?
Wake up at 4AM (I know...a bit crazy) and hike or walk somewhere in nature or sit on the beach and watch the sun rise. Nothing better.
4.What movie title best describes your life?
I would like to say Braveheart or Gladiator, but it’s probably closer to Dumb and Dumber.
5.What’s the best way a person can spend their time?
Without a doubt, helping and volunteering with the less fortunate (also, backpack in nature)
6.What are you looking forward to in the coming months?
Sending my son off to college! Also, building a $50 million inside sales team.
7.Where would you spend all your time if you could?
I love to travel and experience different cultures. Also, would love to devote my time in the poorest places on earth and caring for these people.
8.What do you wish you knew more about?
Two things: Human Psychology - it would make me a better salesperson and History - I am illiterate in History.
9.Who inspires you to be better?
My children. I constantly strive to be better a better example for them.
10.What’s the best and worst piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Best advice - Never, ever give up - True in business and life. Worst advice - follow your passion - I have many passions but they rarely lead to career success.
11.What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned?
Always be humble and grounded - 2008 taught me this!
12. If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time and why? Read, study different languages and learn to cook.
13.What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?
I want to hike the Pacific Coast Trail - 2,650 miles stretching from Mexico to Canada.
14.What’s your favorite thing about your team here at Orion?
Operations and sales work together for the same goal. I love that we are one team rather than two separate divisions.

Orion is a prominent constellation located on the celestial equator and visible throughout the world. It is one of the most conspicuous[1] and recognizable constellations in the night sky.[2] It was named after Orion, a hunter (and gatherer) in Greek mythology. Its brightest stars are Rigel (Beta Orionis) and Betelgeuse (Alpha Orionis), a blue-white and a red supergiant, respectively.
How did we land on “Orionâ€?? Among the thousands of items we had to consider while establishing the spinal column of Orion was what we would name the organization and why! We had been jotting names down in our notepads for a few weeks, and as quickly as we would jot them down and compare notes, we would delete. For those with kids, (or pets) think back to how difficult it was to name your child‌ We finally comprised a list of about 10 names (I still have the paper they are written on). Once we whittled that list down to our top few, we needed to then begin the research on brand availability, broad recognition opportunities, uniqueness, it needed to align with our mission, be unforgettable, with abundant marketing possibilities. It needed to be something we believed could stand the test of time and that represented elements of what would become the foundation of our Organization. Orion fit that description and more. Simply take the definition of the constellation from Online and you will see some key words that jump out! Most notably, Orion is visible throughout the entire world, and is one of the most recognizable constellations in the night sky. Additionally, in Greek mythology, Orion was a hunter and gatherer. We loved this aspect as it relates to our scrappiness - disciplines hunting and gathering loans with great success and transparency.

Reasons to look up next month July 12 - Mercury at Greatest Eastern Elongation. The planet Mercury reaches greatest eastern elongation of 26.4 degrees from the Sun. This is the best time to view Mercury since it will be at its highest point above the horizon in the evening sky. Look for the planet low in the western sky just after sunset.
July 12 - New Moon. The Moon be will located on the same side of the Earth as the Sun and will not be visible in the night sky. This phase occurs at 7:48 PM PST on July 12. This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere.
July 13 - Partial Solar Eclipse. A partial solar eclipse occurs when the Moon covers only a part of the Sun, sometimes resembling a bite taken out of a cookie. A partial solar eclipse can only be safely observed with a special solar filter or by looking at the Sun’s reflection. This partial eclipse will only be visible in extreme southern Australia and Antarctica. (NASA Map and Eclipse Information)

July 27 - Full Moon. The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be will be fully illuminated. This phase occurs at 1:22 PM PST. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Buck Moon because the male buck deer would begin to grow their new antlers at this time of year. This moon has also been known as the Full Thunder Moon and the Full Hay Moon. July 27 - Total Lunar Eclipse. A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes completely through the Earth’s dark shadow, or umbra. During this type of eclipse, the Moon will gradually get darker and then take on a rusty or blood red color. The eclipse will be visible throughout most of Europe, Africa, western and central Asia, the Indian Ocean, and western Australia. (NASA Map and Eclipse Information) July 27 - Mars at Opposition. The red planet will be at its closest approach to Earth and its face will be fully illuminated by the Sun. It will be brighter than any other time of the year and will be visible all night long. This is the best time to view and photograph Mars. A medium-sized telescope will allow you to see some of the dark details on the planet’s orange surface. July 28, 29 - Delta Aquarids Meteor Shower. The Delta Aquarids is an average shower that can produce up to 20 meteors per hour at its peak. It is produced by debris left behind by comets Marsden and Kracht. The shower runs annually from July 12 to August 23. It peaks this year on the night of July 28 and morning of July 29. The nearly full Moon will be a problem this year, blocking out all but the brightest meteors. But if you are patient, you should still be able to catch a few good ones. Best viewing will be from a dark location after midnight. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Aquarius, but can appear anywhere in the sky.
