Situated in the vast agricultural areas of Tualatin Valley are several farms offering hands-on activities that run the gamut from berry picking to lavender gathering. This area is rich with u-pick farms, and each month brings new agricultural surprises for locals and visitors alike. Please check farm websites for hours of operation and crop availability.
BERRIES

Berry season usually starts in June (weather permitting) and can run through July (sometimes into August depending on the season), and u-pick berry farms are abundant in Tualatin Valley. Visit these locations to get fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, marionberries, gooseberries--and countless other types. Pick them yourself or buy them already picked.

FARMERS MARKETS
In Tualatin Valley, prime market season runs from May through October, and Tualatin Valley’s farmers’ markets are teeming with fruits, vegetables, plants and more, all collected from the farms and fields of the region. Goods range from herbs and flowers to cheese and baked delicacies.
The farmers’ markets, just a short trip from nearby Portland, are also more than food; they offer entertainment such as live music, chef demonstrations and kids’ activities.
