Monthly Billing

Sibling Discount
The Oregon Park District offers a sibling discount of 10% off the regular fee for each additional child enrolled in a program where one child has already enrolled at full price in the same session. Registration for all siblings must take place at the same time in order to receive the discount. The discount can only be applied by registering at Nash or over the phone.

Activity Guide Release
The Oregon Park District will issue 2 digital activity guides each year. Our program guide for Fall/Winter will be released in August, while our Spring/Summer guide will be released in February. The full Oregon Park District Activity Guide will be available on the District’s website at www.oregonpark.org.

Spring/Summer Registration begins February 27 Annual Pass Holders
Annual pass holders will be allowed to register on Thursday, February 26. Resident annual pass holders will begin registration at 7:00 am and non-resident annual pass holders will follow at 9:00 am. Registration on February 26 can only be submitted by members of your immediate family.
Non-Annual Pass Holders
Registration for non-annual pass holders will begin on Friday, February 27. Residents will begin at 7:00 am, followed by non-residents at 9:00 am.
Residency
ID is required for proof of residency or a nonresident fee will be charged. A resident is an individual living in or owning real estate within the boundaries of the Oregon Park District. All Oregon School District students participating in youth team sports are considered residents.
Fees
Fees must be paid at the time of registration by cash, check, or credit card. The first fee listed is the rate for Oregon Park District residents. The second fee is for non-residents. No registrations or rentals will be accepted without the proper payment.
Class Changes
The Oregon Park District may cancel, postpone, combine classes, or change instructors. Classes may be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment and refunds will be issued. All participants will be notified of any scheduling changes or cancellations.
Waiver Policy
The Oregon Park District requires all class participants and pass holders to sign a waiver release form. Waivers will be signed and kept on file at Nash Recreation Center. Your registration is not considered complete until a signed waiver is on file.

Program Refund Policy * A full refund will be issued if the Park District reschedules or cancels a class. * To withdraw from a program, a refund application must be completed. * An administrative fee of $5.00 shall be deducted from the amount of a refund to offset the cost of processing the refund. A full refund, less the fee, will be granted if the application for refund is filed with the office at least ten days prior to the scheduled start of the program/activity. * Refunds will not be granted after the registration deadline. * All program refunds are subject to the program coordinator’s approval. * Refunds will not be approved on Park District passes. Passes/cards are non-transferable.

Racquetball & Wallyball Nash Fitness Center
The Nash Fitness Center is over 6,000 square feet and features a three lane rubberized track that surrounds our CYBEX strength training machines, free weights, and cardiovascular equipment. Our friendly Fitness Center staff is available to set up an orientation for any and all users looking to begin a fitness routine.
Group Reservations
Groups of 15 or more will receive a 10% discount on daily fees if reservations are made at least 10 days in advance. Contact the Oregon Park District for reservation information.
3 Pay Payment Plan
Your annual pass is paid off in three equal consecutive payments! The pass fee is paid on the 15th of month, for the first three months, and is only available on annual passes.
Age Restrictions
Children under the age of 5 are welcome to use the gym and pool area free of charge but must be accompanied by a parent or responsible person, 11 years or older. Participants must be 7th grade or older to use the Nash Fitness Center and 9th grade or older to use the free weights.
Lockers
Health Clearance
The Oregon Park District has lockers available for rental to annual pass holders for the term of the pass. The resident fee is $65.00 and non-resident fee is $80.00.
All users are asked to fill out a health history form. Anyone with prior health problems may be asked to obtain a doctor’s release before being permitted to work out. All health forms and doctor’s clearance forms are kept confidential.

Nash Recreation Center Pool
The Nash pool features stairs to a 3 foot bay area attached to a 25 meter 6 lane pool. The deepest area is 10 feet. The pool is equipped with a new handicap chair lift to assist patrons in and out of the pool. After your workout you can enjoy the 13 person hot tub with both high and low jets.
Lap Swim
Six lap lanes will be available for swimmers 7th grade or older. Swimming 32 laps is a one mile workout. New morning lap swim hours will begin March 2nd.
Open Swim
All areas of the pool are open for use, including our diving board and basketball hoop. Pool toys are allowed in the pool at the discretion of the aquatic staff.
Multi-Use Swim
Multi-use swim is open to all ages, however, children are to be accompanied by an adult. Patrons may swim laps, play in the bay area, water jog in the deep end, or enjoy time in the hot tub. Swim lessons are scheduled during this time and will have first priority for pool use. Please be aware that areas of the pool may not be available.
Hot Tub Hours
The hot tub is available for use during lap swim, open swim, and multi-use swim. The hot tub can also be used during swim lessons, water aerobics, and twinges classes. You must be at least 16 years old to use the hot tub. The hot tub is equipped with a new handicap chair lift to assist patrons in and out of the hot tub.

Deep Water Aerobics is a more intense workout than your typical water aerobics class. Working out in the deep end will allow you to get an intense cardiovascular workout without the impact. StarGuard Class Ages 16 years & Up
StarGuard is a nationally recognized lifeguard training program that teaches the skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Candidates will be required to complete an online trianing course and will receive hands-on training with actual equipment and realistic situations. Upon completion of a skills test and written test, participants will receive a certification in lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, and prevention of disease transmission. Attendance is mandatory and you must be 16 years of age upon completion of the course. Students are required to pass a water test on the first day of class and will not be allowed to continue the course without passing. Deadline: 3/13 Fee: $90/ $108 NR

Boys volleyball is one of the fastest emerging sports in Northern Illinois, and is a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime! The Boys Volleyball Clinic is designed to help boys learn the proper footwork and techniques for attacking (spiking), blocking, serving, digging (defense), setting, and serve-receive. The clinic takes place a month before the outdoor beach volleyball season begins, so there will be some scrimmage during practice time that will focus on how to play beach doubles volleyball. The clinic is designed and run by Christy Sitze. Christy is the current Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Rockford University and the Director of Power Up Volleyball Club. She coached nine years at Oregon High School prior to becoming a college coach. Power Up Beach Volleyball Ages 13 - 18 years
Did you know that beach volleyball is the fastest growing sport in all of NCAA history? That’s because it’s a lot of fun! Power Up Volleyball Club and the Oregon Park District are proud to offer the unique opportunity to be able to play this amazing sport right in our own backyard at the sand courts at Oregon Park West. This outdoor beach club program is available for both boys and girls ages 13-18 (it will be split up by age and gender). You do not need to have played club volleyball or participated in a clinic before you register. The Oregon Park District and Silver Ridge Golf Course will team up to offer a Junior Golf League this summer. Our Junior Golf League will have a fun and competitive atmosphere. During this two hour program the children are offered opportunities to develop social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and caring for others. Oregon Park District Tutoring Center Grades K - Entering 3rd Grade
The Tutoring Center will provide one-on-one instruction for Math skill review and development. Customized lesson plans targeting specific skills for each child will be used while accomodating each child’s learning style. You, along with your child’s tutor, will determine the number of sessions primarily based on skill development and mastery. We are encouraging early registration for the Tutoring Center Summer Sessions. Historical Dinner Ages 18 years & Up
Join us at the Ruby Nash Museum on this beautiful evening for music, dinner, dessert, and history. Maple Syrup Time! R E S O U R C E S
In late February stop by the Garden Barn near the Community Gardens and learn how maple syrup is made. The complete process from start to finish will be continuously demonstrated during the season. Individuals are welcome to come and visit and watch or help if you would like. The season lasts from late February and, depending on Mother Nature, will extend through the end of March. John Barnhart, Natural Resources Manager, is constantly looking to team up with educators, organizations, and/or businesses to demonstrate and educate others about the maple syrup process. Natural Resource Fair
The 4th Annual Natural Resource Fair and Kiwanis Club Pancake breakfast will be held on Saturday, April 25th. This ‘outdoorsee” fair will have vendors who sell organic and natural crafts. Many local park districts, forest preserves, and environmentalists will be represented at this annual event. They will be showcasing their organizations’ natural products and ideologies. There will be area maple syrup producers taking part in a maple syrup contest. Also available on April 25th is the Oregon Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast beginning at 7am (the syrup is produced by the Oregon Park District). Community Garden Plots
The Oregon Park District offers multiple Community Garden plots available to rent every spring. What a wonderful opportunity to grow as a planter, grow closer to your peer gardeners, as well as growing closer to your food. These plots are located at Veterans’ Park, a small park located on South 10th St. in Oregon. Plots are 4x8 and will be available on firstcome first-served on plot number request. Fossil Collecting Exploration
Go on a fossil collecting field trip in one of the areas most well known and hidden gravel pits. This hidden landmark was once utilized by by the Oregon School District years ago and has been untouched over the past decade. Annual OPD-BFP Rock River Canoe Trip
The Oregon Park District and Byron Forest Preserve have teamed up again to offer this beautiful canoe trip along the banks of the Rock River. Enjoy a 2 hour trip down the Rock River this August. Along the trip you’ll enjoy the forest lined river banks, the river’s view of Jacks Landing, Oregon Park District’s new primitive natural park, and many more natural wonders that include animals and scenery. A Taste of Michigan
Escape for a couple of days in Michigan. We will visit Tree-Mendus Fruit Farm, where it is peach picking time. This 500 acre fruit farm also has a country market with jams, jellies, honey, apple butters & cider ready for sampling. We will take their “Folkswagon” Harvest Tour through the valley and the orchards. Then we are off to visit a different kind of garden, The Chocolate Garden, where they specialize in extraordinary handmade truffles. We will stay overnight in beautiful Stevensville, MI. Wiggly Wag & Walk Wednesday
Dog lovers will want to come out to Wiggly Field for the 3rd Annual Wiggly Wag and Walk Wednesday & Pet Fair. This is a free evening of entertainment and fun with your dog! Meet the pet vendors (shop a little, too), bring donations for Paws for Claws and Granny Rose Shelter, see demonstrations, check out Wiggly Field and enjoy dinner at the Park - a hot dog, of course! Vendors will be set up outside Wiggly Field Dog Park (no membership tag required/rabies tag required). However, to utilize the dog park or get up close and personal with some of the trainers and demonstrators, a membership tag will be required (inside Wiggly Field Dog Park). Any time between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm we invite you to participate in the High Card Hound Hike. Owners and their dog(s) will walk a pre-set route through Park West and back to Wiggly Field stopping at check points for “treats” and water for the dogs. At checkpoints, owners will also draw a card and, upon returning, cards will be totaled and high card wins the Wiggly Wag & Walk Gift Basket. There will also be games with prizes and giveaways. Mix It Up! Sidewalk Painting! All Ages
Original idea, favorite cartoon character, beautifully colored abstraction? Work on your own or with family and friends to paint a 5’ X 5’ sidewalk square at the 6th annual Mix It Up at Mix Park! Kits provided include 5 pints of tempera (Black, White, Red, Blue, Yellow), chalk to sketch your design, and (2) 1 inch brushes. Bring a water container, paper towels, palette, and larger brushes. Slam-n-Jam If you are looking for a full day of family fun in the park, be sure to save the date for the 2015 Slam-n-Jam event on your calendar: June 13, 2015. Enjoy a Saturday full of fun at Touch-a-Truck, the Splash Pad, the Bags Tourney, Volleyball Tourney, Tennis Tourney, Pickelball Tournament, or one of the many baseball, t-ball and softball games throughout the day. Kids will love the inflatables and Pitch-Burst game. Enjoy entertainment, the Geocaching Event (must RSVP @ geocaching.com), and watch the very popular Celebrity Softball Game (local business owners and residents vs OHS Softball/Baseball players and alumni) at 3:00 pm. There will also be food, beverages and ice cream available to purchase as well as raffle tickets. All baseball games will be played to celebrate the short life of former Park District employee and huge baseball fan, Joseph Kerwin III. Recognition and moment of silence to remember Joe will be held prior to the Celebrity Game. Come and cheer on your favorite celebrities while enjoying great outdoor fun. The Sand Volleyball Tourney is a fund raising effort for the Malorie Ziegler Scholarship Fund.

Come out and enjoy this free hands-on event for children to see, touch and explore their favorite big trucks, heavy equipment and large vehicles. Check out a fire truck, dump truck, back hoe, combine and so many more interesting vehicles. Each serves a purpose and you can learn about their “jobs” from the operators of these vehicles. You can also enjoy entertainment and demonstrations. Be sure to stop at the Masonic Lodge Booth (near the police vehicles) as they are offering the IL CHIP (Illinois Child Identification Program). Splash Bash Pool Party Package
Bring family and friends to celebrate a special occasion or to just have fun at the Nash Recreation Center. The fee includes a party room for one hour and daily pool fee for up to 25 people. Each additional guest is $2. Fee: $55/ $65 NR
Party Times
Party times are available during all open swim hours. Please see the pool schedule for specific times. *All guest admissions must be paid for regardless if swimming or not. *Refunds will be considered only if notice is given 10 days in advance. *Reservations are required at least 2 weeks in advance.
Private Rental After Hours Pool Party
Celebrate your event with the Nash Recreation Center pool all to yourself! These parties occur after the facility has been closed to the general public and pass holders. The fee includes River Room rental for food and drinks. Fee: $85/$105 NR per hour up to 50 guests $110/$130 NR per hour 50-100 guests
Wii Gaming Party
Have your next group outing or birthday party at the Oregon Park District! Up to 15 guests will enjoy our Wii interactive virtual video games that you control by running, kicking, throwing, or jumping. One of our gaming instructors will serve as your virtual guide and host. An array of games will be provided or you can bring your own. Parties must be booked at least two weeks in advance and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Space will be available for refreshments and opening presents. The fee includes room rental for two hours, use of the Wii gaming system, and daily fees for up to 15 people. Fee: $65/ $80 NR
Party Like A Sports Star
If you want to have a fun-filled sports party, then this is definitely the party you want to throw! Your party will take place at the Blackhawk Center. It will include two hours of sports where you can hit baseballs/softballs in the batting cages, play badminton, and play tennis. You can even play basketball where our Oregon teams play. ‘Wiggly Field’ Dog Park
Officially opened in July 2012, Wiggly Field Dog Park is the first off-leash dog park operated by the Oregon Park District. The dog park is a 1 acre fenced off-leash area with two separate entrances and exits for safety. The first area is an open running area and the second is an agility training area. The park offers water fountains for people and dogs. Wiggly Field off-leash dog park is open seven days a week from dawn until dusk. Agility equipment will be removed during the winter months and brought back in the spring. We ask all owners to have fun, but be responsible. All users and dogs must have a permit. Upon initial registration, users will be issued a key fob for entry. This requires an $20 deposit. Please stop by Nash Recreation Center to get a permit and receive the rules and regulations.

Geocaching (geo-cashing) is an environmentally friendly outdoor recreational activity for families and individuals alike. This outdoor treasure hunting game involves searching for hidden objects using clues and GPS (global positioning system) coordinates. There are 10 geocaches strategically placed within and near the Oregon Park District’s parks and facilities. Enjoy learning and taking in the beauty of these destinations while on your real life treasure hunt for geocaches! You will need a www.geocaching.com membership, a GPS device or a GPS-enabled mobile phone so you can navigate to a cache, a pen or pencil to sign the cache log, and you may want to bring an exchangeable treasure! As an affiliate group, the Oregon Park District relies heavily on the Village of Progress for services offered to meet the needs of the developmentally disabled. Ruby Nash Museum The Ogle County Historical Society and Ruby Nash Museum are both affiliate groups to the Oregon 111 N. 6th Street Oregon, IL 61061
Park District. The Ruby Nash Museum contains many Ogle County historical collections including artifacts, books, maps, and photos. The Museum is open for tours on Thursdays from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm (year round) and on Sundays from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (April - October). Admission is free. (815)732-7545

Elite Pacers Club
We Create Fun For A Lifetime”
If you log 1,000 miles in our Fitness Center by the end of October, each year, you will receive an Elite Pacers Club t-shirt. After your workout, simply fill out one of our Pacers Club cards and drop it in the box. We will then enter your workout information into our computer. All miles and/or time will be converted into bike miles. The totals will be posted every Monday. If you are a new member, please ask the fitness supervisor on duty and they will explain how to record your miles.
Blood Pressure Monitor
The Park District offers a free blood pressure and heart rate monitor in our fitness center. It is a fully automatic selfattended monitor. Be heart healthy and happy ~ know your blood pressure!
Americans with Disabilities Act
The Oregon Park District is happy to comply with the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you need special accommodations (such as an interpreter or physical assistance), please call the Oregon Park District (TDD or Voice) two weeks in advance so that we may make the necessary arrangements for you.
Lost & Found
Lost and found articles are kept a maximum of 60 days and then donated to charitable organizations. If you think you or a family member may have lost something in one of our parks or facilities, please call or visit Nash Recreation Center.
Scholarship Program
The Oregon Park District believes that every child should have an opportunity to participate in recreational programs regardless of financial hardship. For this reason, the Oregon Park District offers scholarships to Park District residents for reduced program rates according to financial need. Application forms are available at Nash Recreation Center or online at www.oregonpark.org. Applicants for scholarships are not guaranteed program registration or choice of program location. Scholarship fund availability cannot be guaranteed.

Donate a tree in memory of a loved one. You can choose the type of tree and park location. Contact the Park District for more information about this program.
Bird Walk
Enjoy a scenic walk through the parks while enjoying nature’s winged friends. Each bird location features a bird habitat structure that simulates the bird’s natural habitat. Pick up your guide at Nash Recreation Center.
Photo Policy
The Oregon Park District and/or professional photographers under contract may videotape or take photographs of participants in Park District activities, classes, programs, or parks. These photographs and videotapes are used for future recreation guides, brochures, Facebook, and other marketing materials.

F REE Rental Of Fishing Equipment
Would you like to go fishing but lack the equipment? The Oregon Park District has partnered with Rock River Outfitters to offer sport fishing equipment through the IDNR. Fishing rods, reels, and tackle are available to borrow at Rock River Outfitters, 114 N. River Road, Oregon.
Night Fishing Permits
You can now fish at night in Oregon Park District Parks by purchasing a required Night Fishing Permit. Permits are available at Nash for $20.00 and are valid thru the end of the calendar year.
