OMEA and OBDA exist for the members, and we are always looking for people to become involved and move our profession forward With specific regards to OBDA, I realize that it sometimes looks like it only exists for the administration of the state band contest and associated matters, but while this is indeed an important role, I would like to reaffirm the core mission of promoting instrumental music in Oregon at all levels: elementary school, middle school, high school, collegiate, and even community and adult ensembles
