President's 2nd Quarter Letter

Dear Fellow Members:
Welcome back! Summer is finally here, and the Clubis bustlingwithactivity and excitement.
Chef Doug and hisculinary staffhave started the seasonwith abang with Easter Sunday, Cinco de Mayo, the Kentucky Derby, and Mother's Day nearly all being sellout events and all receiving high marks for the delicious food, presentation, and service. Peter has hired a new Clubhouse Manager, David Simpson, who is off and runningassisting with our overallcluboperations.
Paddle tennis is winding down and pickle ball will be ramping up. Our Director of Racquets, Lincoln Wirgau, currently has his tennis clinics and cardio classes up and running (no pun intended). Besure to stop by the newly finished Racquet Houseto look over the new Pro Shop andrecentlystockedmerchandise andOLCC gear.
Golf is in full swing withbothMen's andWomen's leagues well underway. The men's Early Bird on May 5th and the women's Opening Day on May 11th were both huge successes. The new Ladies Night Out Golf 101 has also been a big hitand iswelcoming many new women golfersto the game. Our Head Golf Professional, Brian Sleeman, has brought on two new assistants this season with the hiring of Jacob Connell and Ben Poppy. Also new to the golf staff team is Bill "Red" Rice who will manage the men's locker room. Pleasestop by to say hello to all three!
Our golf course is infantasticconditionso early in theseason thanksto the dedication and hard workfrom Superintendent,AaronMcMaster. Wecontinuetosee ahigh volumeof trafficon most days which is beingcloselymonitored. Thanks toall our members whoarelivingup tothe 4-hour round mandate as the early results are encouraging. We now need you all to apply the same effort to repairing ball marks and raking sand traps!
Down atthe lakefront, our Sailing Director, Bruce Lilley, hostedthe Blessing of the Fleet onMay 12th and oversawtheinstallationofournew Commodore. We havetwonew sailboats, andanew second pontoon boat, for member use and enjoyment. The pool deck will soon be busy as well, as the2023 Blue Carp swim teamis scheduledfor June 9th kickoff.
AllthisClubactivityisobviousfor alltosee. What mostof our membershavenot seen, however, is the level of effort and the amount of hard work our entire staff and management has put into the preceding months with the planning, organization, and development of new policies and procedures to raise the bar andimproveyour overall member experience.
This off-season, Peter and his team were tasked with breaking down and analyzing each of his department's policies, procedures, and workflow to identify potential bottlenecks and critical
