That is obviously not a good idea, but if physical touch is your staff member’s love language, a quick pat on the back when he or she does something well or a high five are certainly acceptable and would go a long way. Another option is hiring a masseuse to come in and do 15–30-minute neck massages for your staff. Again, this would check a few boxes, namely, physical touch, acts of service, and gift giving.

So, if you are constantly buying your spouse presents, receiving gifts is your love language. If you like to spend time with your spouse and really enjoy doing things together, your love language is quality time. Whether in your marriage or serious relationship, with your kids, or in the workplace, knowing the love languages of the people around you that you spend most of your time with is vital to having successful relationships and building rockstar teams.
