Welcome to our 2018 Dandelion Wishes Gala Ball.
Over the past three years this spectacular event, founded by Lincoln and Veronique Wulff and supported by their passionate committee of volunteers, has raised over $800,000 for Monash Children’s Hospital. The funds have supported the purchase of important medical equipment for our new Monash Children’s Hospital, which opened in April last year. The new Monash Children’s Hospital is a vision shared by our health professionals, patients and their families, realised in the state-of-the-art, 230-bed hospital that stands today. Thanks to generous people like you, we have purchased new transportation cots, fitted with ventilators, to safely move preterm babies between birthing suites and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Patients in the new Monash Children’s Hospital now also have access to bedside entertainment systems, providing a welcome distraction from their treatment and keeping them in contact with school and loved ones.
With your support tonight, we will raise funds for a new Echocardiograph (ECHO) for children’s cardiac care. The new ECHO provides a 3D view of the heart. The clarity of image the new ECHO provides has been described as the difference between a torch and flood light. This detail is essential for patients like 6 month old Sophie. Sophie’s family will share their inspirational story with you later this evening.
