The Pines As Australia’s only Arnold Palmer signature course, The Pines is recognised as one of Australia’s best and most challenging courses. Carved through 101 hectares of established pine forest, the course features corridor approaches to several holes, with lakes guarding others. Fourteen of the holes are contoured around six man-made lakes. An abundance of wildlife features on The Pines including rare bird life and scores of native Australian kangaroos.
The Pines practice facilities include three practice holes only a short distance from the Clubhouse, two practice putting and chipping greens as well as a double ended driving range; all set within a beautiful landscape of pine trees, native wildlife and The Pines golf course.

The Palms The Palms golf course underwent an $8.8 million reconstruction and was redesigned by renowned golf course architect Ross Watson. After its reopening in April 2011, The Palms is considered a championship course rivalling some of the best golf courses in Australia. It has a total length of 5904 metres off the championship tees, and has numerous water features and hazards. Tee placements have been designed to suit a variety of playing conditions and a diverse playing membership.

This new facility is situated behind the gates of the Sanctuary Cove residential community and is home to over 1200 exclusive Equity Members. Clubhouse dining facilities include The Jabiru Restaurant and Lakeview Bar, with the Club also playing host to a large number of events each year for the benefit of all Members of the Club. Lakeview Bar Lakeview Bar overlooks one of The Pines golf course’s many pristine lakes and the lush greenery of the 18th hole. Michael Jones Sanctuary Cove Golf Academy Instructor Michael Jones is a product of a more modern day approach to golf teaching and has achieved remarkable results with many of his students. Australian Tour Professionals Brad Kennedy and Matthew Millar have both played British Opens and achieved three and two wins on the Australian PGA, respectively, as a result of Michael’s coaching. Brad Kennedy has also won three titles on the Japan Golf Tour. Michael has students of all levels and as no one student has the same swing, Michael’s teaching philosophy is to treat all students as individuals with different swing methods for each person.
Steve Darmody Steve is one of Australia’s most highly credentialed golf coaches. He has a unique skill in identifying and problem solving issues in your golf game. Steve works with everyone from complete beginners to touring professionals. Steve has worked with Australian Touring Professional, Terry Price for most of 2012. This culminated in Terry winning the German Pro Senior Open on the European Seniors Tour. Steve works on a holistic approach to improvement providing simple, technically sound solutions to the wide variety of game problems that golfers encounter. Equity Membership Equity Membership Alternate Membership To become an Equity Member, you are required to purchase a share in Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club Holdings Limited. The Equity Membership entitles you full access to: • The Pines golf course, driving range and practice facilities; • The Palms golf course, driving range and practice green; • Private Clubhouse; • The Country Club; • Exclusive invitations to private Club events and tournaments for you and your guests. Equity Members are entitled to have up to six children on their account, entitling them to full access of the facilities. Children must be under 25, terms and conditions apply.
Should you not wish to purchase a share, we may offer you an Alternate (Jockey) Membership for 6 or 12 months. The Alternate Membership entitles you full access to The Pines and The Palms golf courses, driving ranges and practice facilities, the Country Club (including gym, fitness classes, swimming pool and tennis courts), the Clubhouse and all social activities including bridge, canasta and mahjong for the period of the Alternate Membership. The appointment may be terminated by either the Equity Member or the Alternate by giving 90 days’ written notice. Alternate Members are not entitled to have children on their account, are not eligible to compete in Club Championships or Honour Board events, hold a nominated position within the Club and may not vote in Club elections.
If you do not own your own golf cart, you may hire a Club cart including state-of-the-art GPS for an annual fee. All social golf is complimentary, unless you book to play in a competition where competition fees apply. Guests are able to access the golf facilities when accompanied by a Member. Discounted green fees apply for guest access. As a Member of Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club, one of your many Member benefits is the opportunity to access a number of prestigious golf courses, both nationally and internationally.
