This is also our understanding that we, as Optibelt, have towards our customers. Unfortunately we were and have been unable to meet this requirement at the end of last year and at the start of 2017, after in­ troducing our new warehouse extension and new despatch handling process. We were unable to keep to delivery dates and promises and we have put you, as our customers, in a difficult situation. We would like to apologise for this and promise you that we are making every effort to win back your trust. This is equally an obligation and a challenge for us.

At the same time we want to continue investing in our future and yours.

By the middle of the year we will have developed our PU and special belts competence and capacity further. Alongside this, we are expanding our testing capacities. The “test bed of the future’, which is currently under construction, will enable the use of the latest technology in the field of sensors, motorisation and networking as well as modularisation

Optibelt presents customised and at the same time highly economic solutions for the textile industry, metalworking and from the drinks industry at the Hannover Messe.

GLASS, METAL, TEXTILES High-performance belts optibelt ALPHA TORQUE, optibelt ALPHA POWER and optibelt ALPHA FLEX are made of polyurethane with extremely high tensile strength and abrasion resistance. They are ozone and UV-resistant and extraordinarily resistant to oils and greases. They deliver drive power in a slip-free and synchronous manner.

Based on the timing belts, optibelt ALPHA V and optibelt ALPHA SRP extremely demanding transport concepts can be produced: by means of directly welded on cleats and mechanical finishing, they can be exactly tailored to the relevant transported goods.

Bernds Bicylces makes special bicycles: ergonomically correct and ultra mobile. The owner-managed family business relies on uncompromising quality and an in-house developed belt drive. It uses a timing belt from Optibelt: the optibelt DELTA CHAIN Carbon. Its advantage can not only be seen compared to conventional chain drives, but also in comparison with other drive belts: thanks to an integrated tensioning device, it can be fitted under low tension. TAM Durabus produces buses for local transport and for use at airports. Thanks to their modular construction, the vehicles can be flexibly adapted in terms of length to different passenger capacities. The buses are driven fully electrically by two electric motors. Optibelt Walk developed the transmission and made various pro­to­ types, which are currently under­going test operations.

TO THE RESCUE ResQTec saves lives. The company pro­ duces rescue cutters for fire departments and rescue services, which are used to cut victims of accidents out of badly damaged vehicles. The latest solution from ResQTex is an electrically powered cutter, whose battery pack is carried on the back, thus enabling firefighters to work more flexibly.

The transmission has to withstand extremes and transfer the highest possible forces despite its compact design. For the devel­ opment of this challenging transmission solution, ResQTec relies on Optibelt Walk.

BETTER TO BE SAFE SAFER X-RAY INSPECTIONS WITH OPTIBELT Nothing happens in tourist travel and modern food processing without X-ray inspection technology. optibelt ELASTOMIT-R protective curtains provide safety: they prevent X-rays from escaping erratically.

MORE INSIGHT X-ray technology is used at airports as a matter of course – and in China recently in the rail transport sector too: for security reasons, the luggage belonging to all passengers is screened before boarding the train. Yet in food processing too, X-ray systems are playing an increasingly important role. They are replacing metal detectors, because besides purely detecting foreign bodies, they can also perform completeness checks.

SAFE PROTECTION For X-ray inspection systems with tube voltages up to 150 kV, Optibelt offers a wide range of lead and lead-free products with varying screening values. All products are based on vulcanised rubber matrix, which guarantees a high degree of abrasion resistance and flex­ibility even under high loads. The lead-free protective curtain materials are particularly important for the food industry. Optibelt offers certified X-ray protection materials here for packaged and unpackaged goods.

POWERFUL TENSION TESTER FROM OPTIBELT The optibelt TT RFID offers two interference-free measurement methods (EM/AC) and due to its unprecedented frequency range is also suitable for large centre distances. Two red LED light spots on the belt make it easier to position the measuring head. Internal drive data (CAP) can naturally be

used, whilst measurements can be saved on a microSD card or synchronised with a PC via an app. The integrated RFID reader can load drive data directly from machines with an RFID LABEL stuck on them. The RFID database management is done either directly on the TT RFID or alternatively on a PC.
