#MULTIPLYING INSPIRATION

At Oportunidades program,we educate, empower, and build our nation

This year, Oportunidades FGK signed an agreement with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Its goal is to provide young Salvadorans with tools and learning opportunities that are relevant, innovative, and aligned with the demands of today’s world. Thanks to a joint investment partnership of $14.2 million, the program will expand its reach and benefit 2,155 young Salvadorans. The investment will support the expansion of four Oportunidades centers: two full-time sites in San Salvador and Santa Ana, and four Saturday-schedule sites in San Salvador, Santa Ana, Sonsonate, and San Miguel. With 15 years of experience, Oportunidades FGK has empowered more than 2,000 young adults across the country through technological and educational tools that are transforming education. In 2021, the program adopted a hybrid teaching model, combining complementary studies with semi-presential sessions through its platform launched in 2020. This innovative approach provided greater flexibility and continuity in education, adapting to the changing circumstances of the time. This year’s graduating class is a testament to the students’ perseverance and resilience. Despite the challenges and the need to adapt to a constantly evolving educational environment, these young adults demonstrated remarkable determination and the ability to overcome obstacles.
