#MULTIPLYING INSPIRATION
At Oportunidades program,we educate, empower, and build our nation
Over the years, the Oportunidades FGK Program has faced the challenge of constantly reinventing itself in order to continue fulfilling its mission. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic presented an unprecedented challenge, forcing the suspension of in-person classes and the closure of the training centers in San Salvador and Santa Ana. Despite these obstacles, Oportunidades FGK responded quickly and effectively by designing a virtual classroom adapted to the needs of students who had to continue their studies through a completely new format. This platform was implemented so students could receive classes remotely, allowing them to continue their education despite the restrictions. This experience reaffirmed Oportunidades’ ability to adapt to changing circumstances and its ongoing commitment to the well-being and success of its students, regardless of the challenges they faced. In response to the emergency, food supplies were provided to all students, while specialized psychological support continued to help them cope with the economic and emotional difficulties caused by the pandemic.
