#MULTIPLYING INSPIRATION

At Oportunidades program,we educate, empower, and build our nation

Throughout 2014, the achievements reflect the ongoing support provided to young adults to strengthen their technical and personal skills. One of the year’s most significant events was the program’s first technology fair, which allowed the community to learn in detail about the activities developed in areas such as physics, chemistry, and technology. Students presented their projects and discoveries, demonstrating the skills and knowledge acquired throughout their training with the Oportunidades Program. In addition, partnerships were established with institutions such as Fundación J Borja at the Ahuachapán site, where 54 young adults are currently employed thanks to the educational training they received. As part of this coordinated effort, healthcare institutions also provided medical outreach services for participants, facilitating access to care and promoting students’ overall well-being. This approach complemented the comprehensive education offered by the Oportunidades Program.

The technology fair not only provided an opportunity to showcase the skills acquired, but also underscored the program’s commitment to the academic and personal development of young adults, highlighting the importance of an education that goes beyond the classroom and supports students’ overall well-being. In this context, individual achievements also stood out, such as the creation of the Oportunidades Glee Club and the completion of the Dale Carnegie course by 30 graduates. Luz de Fátima Díaz received a scholarship to attend Zamorano University, while Jonathan Portillo earned a scholarship to the Escuela Superior de Economía y Negocios, achieving the highest score on the PAA. These achievements reflect the students’ effort and talent and highlight the program’s positive impact on their development and academic success.
