In 2025, military life tested Julian Kuhn and his family in ways they never imagined. Following a family tradition of service, Julian enlisted in the Army in 2020, building a career and a life around duty, honor, and stability. A debilitating back injury during a deployment abruptly ended his service, leaving Julian, wife Ju’lie, and their children facing an uncertain future.

Through Operation Homefront’s diverse programs, the family found rent- and utility-free housing, financial guidance, and community support. They also participated in a baby shower, which provided essential resources and helped them focus on rebuilding stability. Each Operation Homefront program offers a unique touchpoint for families navigating life-altering challenges—helping them heal, plan for the future, and regain confidence along the way.

Julian’s story reflects the broader impact of Operation Homefront in 2025: Across the country, we provided tens of thousands of military and veteran families with financial assistance, housing and family-focused initiatives, resulting in tens of millions of dollars in critical resources. With every program, every service, and every volunteer, partner, and donor, we ensure military families are not alone—turning moments of uncertainty into hope, resilience, and the opportunity to thrive.

Throughout 2025, Operation Homefront changed the lives of military and veteran families by:

As we reflect on the past year, one truth stands above all others: America’s military and veteran families embody a strength of spirit that inspires all of us. Their resilience through constant change, sacrifice, and uncertainty is the reason we— Operation Homefront donors, volunteers, and dedicated staff—carry our mission forward every day. This year marked meaningful progress in our journey to make a greater difference for the military and veteran families we serve.

We saw firsthand how rising costs, transitions between duty stations, unexpected life events, and a 43-day government shutdown placed increasing pressure on those who serve our nation. In 2025, our mission came to life as we were honored to provide meaningful impact for nearly 25,000 military families throughout the year. That assistance came in the form of holiday meals, backpacks, baby showers, rent and mortgage payments, and home and car repairs, totaling more than $32 million in meaningful impact!

While we take great pride in what these numbers represent, military and veteran families are confronting growing challenges, so we know we cannot stand still. The need is too great, and our commitment is too deep. That’s why we have launched OH 2030, our five-year strategic plan created to double our impact and strengthen the path toward lasting stability for those who sacrifice so much for us all. Built around six clear and ambitious objectives, OH 2030 charts a bold course—one that embraces scale, efficiency, and innovation while staying rooted in compassion and service.

As we lay the foundation to propel OH 2030 forward, we will refine programs that address critical needs, fortify partnerships that extend our reach, and invest in the systems and people that ensure long-term organizational health. As we look ahead, the road to 2030 will require ongoing focus and foresight, but we are prepared. With a strong strategic framework, a committed board and staff, and a network of dedicated volunteers and supporters who grow stronger with us, Operation Homefront is well positioned to meet the future head-on.

From critical financial support to rent- and mortgage-free housing, from back-to-school drives to holiday meals, we meet families where they are—helping them regain stability, plan for the future, and thrive within the communities they have defended. Every program addresses the unique demands of military life, delivered by a team that truly understands those challenges—more than 98% of Operation Homefront staff have served themselves or have a direct military connection.

In a year shaped by shifting needs and unexpected challenges, general mission support through unrestricted giving was critical for Operation Homefront to continue serving military and veteran families when they needed it most. Military families faced ongoing financial pressure from inflation, housing costs, and the unique challenges of military life, all while navigating uncertainty that often comes with service and transition.

When unexpected challenges arose, Operation Homefront responded by ensuring our application window for assistance remained open longer, allowing more families to seek help during a time of increased need.

That is the power behind those who invest in general mission support for the families we serve. Unrestricted funding allows

us to respond quickly, direct resources where they are needed most, and ensure families receive timely, meaningful support— especially in moments of uncertainty.

Standing With Families During the Government Shutdown

When the federal government shutdown furloughed disabled Army veteran DaQuan Bethea from his civilian job with the Department of Defense—and later required him to return to work without pay— his family quickly felt the strain. After missing two consecutive paychecks, DaQuan and his wife, Evelyn, struggled to keep up with their mortgage and rising household expenses while caring for their 2-year-old son.

A former Army behavioral health technician, DaQuan now serves as a soldier and family readiness specialist with the North Carolina National Guard, helping military families navigate financial, housing, and mental health challenges. Asking for help himself was difficult when the lengthy shutdown exhausted his family’s financial reserves.

Relief came through Operation Homefront’s shutdown response, which provided food and mortgage assistance to help DaQuan’s family remain stable during an uncertain time. The support allowed

him to stay focused on both his family and his work serving others. “Helping service members helped me mentally while I went through the shutdown,” he said.

The family’s experience reflected a broader surge in need. Operation Homefront experienced a 67% increase in Critical Financial Assistance Program® requests during the course of 2025, and a 137% increase in requests for food assistance as military and veteran families across the country faced sudden income disruptions and rising costs. Our rapid response was made possible through the extraordinary support of corporate and community partners, including Northrop Grumman, Dollar Tree, Wounded Warrior Project, Crum & Forster, USAA, and the Maryland Veterans Trust Fund, who stepped up with above-and-beyond funding to help ensure families had food on the table and stability at home when it mattered most.

A nearly $2.4 million grant from The Home Depot Foundation supports Operation Homefront’s Critical Financial Assistance Program®, helping military and veteran families overcome financial challenges.

PROGRAM PARTNERS

Layoffs and financial instability led ShaLynn DeVaughn to enlist in the Navy in 2018, hoping to create a better life for her daughter. She deployed to Europe and later to the Middle East during the COVID-19 pandemic, which extended her tour and limited communication. Returning home in 2023 after five years of service, ShaLynn faced misdiagnosed health issues and a sudden transition to civilian life. Starting over in North Carolina, she pursued her degree while raising her daughter, but unexpected rent and utility price increases left her struggling.

Worried about losing her apartment, ShaLynn turned to Operation Homefront’s Critical Financial Assistance Program® for help. Since 2011, the program has provided more than $49 million to military and veteran families, assisting with rent and mortgage payments, home repairs, utilities, and other urgent needs. Personalized case management ensures funds are delivered directly to providers, preventing short-term financial setbacks from becoming long-term struggles. The program also offers financial counseling to help families establish budget priorities and plan for their future.

With support from the Critical Financial Assistance Program®, ShaLynn and her daughter remained safely housed and regained peace of mind. Generous donors, including those below, made assistance possible for her family.

Permanent Homes for Veterans

Inspired by his great uncle who served in Vietnam, Scott Wiman enlisted in the Army in 2005 after earning a degree in advertising. He deployed to Afghanistan with a Special Forces team in 2007, earning a Bronze Star and an Army Commendation Medal. Later assignments took him to South America, where he contracted West Nile virus. He was medically evacuated and had to unexpectedly end his military career. After leaving the military, Scott struggled to rebuild his life while planning a future with his wife, Ivon.

Scott and Ivon found a path forward through Operation Homefront’s Permanent Homes for Veterans program. The couple was overwhelmed with gratitude when they learned they were selected for a new home in Colorado, near Scott’s family.

Since 2012, this program has helped nearly 700 veteran families achieve mortgage-free homeownership and deeded nearly $107 million in home equity to those families. The program provides safe, stable housing and financial counseling, giving families renewed opportunities to dream about their futures. Permanent Homes for Veterans empowers veterans to build stability while creating generational impact for their loved ones.

Support from The Kahlert Foundation and a matching gift partnership helped raise $160,000 to strengthen Operation Homefront’s transitional housing programs.

When Brian Berrios, a Marine Corps sergeant, left active-duty service, he expected the transition to civilian life to be challenging—but not overwhelming. After serving five years in the Marine Corps and four years in the Army, he and his wife, Alex, relocated to Utah to build a new life with their two daughters. However, the first month after separation found the family sharing a single room at Alex’s father’s home while Brian searched for steady work.

Everything changed when they discovered Operation Homefront’s Transitional HousingApartments program. Designed for veterans within four years of discharge, the program provides rent- and utilities-free apartments for up to one year, along with financial counseling and supportive services to help families rebuild stability. Since launching in 2021, the program has delivered more than 400 months of housing, saving veteran families nearly $550,000 in housing-related costs during one of life’s most uncertain transitions.

For Brian and Alex, that year made all the difference. Shortly after moving into their Operation Homefront apartment, Brian secured a job in information technology at Hill Air Force Base. With the breathing room to reduce debt and build savings, the family soon reached a milestone they once thought was out of reach—purchasing a home of their own.

Transitional Homes for Veterans

After years of service and multiple injuries, Branden Stout never expected his Army career to end the way it did. A former Navy sailor who enlisted in the Army in 2018 and served with the 82nd Airborne Division, Branden planned to build a full military career while raising his growing family. After a severe parachute injury and a series of surgeries, he faced an unplanned medical retirement and an abrupt end to his career in 2025. As Branden, his wife, Kirby, and their children began preparing for civilian life, they found a fresh start through Operation Homefront’s Transitional Homes for Veterans program. The program offers eligible veteran families the opportunity to live in a rent-free, single-family home for up to three years while receiving financial counseling and community support. By removing the burden of housing costs during this critical transition period, families can build savings, reduce debt, and focus on establishing long-term stability. Since launching in 2018, the program has defrayed more than $2.6 million in housing costs for veteran families.

For Branden, the opportunity means more than financial relief—it offers the space to rebuild and plan for what comes next. With guidance from financial advisors and time to focus on recovery, he is mapping out a new career path in an environment that is stable and safe for his family.

The A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation’s unwavering commitment to Operation Homefront and the military and veteran families we serve has been nothing short of transformational. Since the partnership began in 2010, the foundation has donated more than $17.6M to ensure the strength, stability, and security of those who have given so much for our country. Their support was pivotal in the creation and implementation of our Transitional Homes for Veterans program.

Transitional Housing-Villages

When Mara Berthier enlisted in the Navy in 2019, it started with something simple—she liked the uniform. What she discovered, however, was a place where she truly belonged. She served in San Diego, and deployed to Bahrain and across the Pacific before a neurological autoimmune disease unexpectedly changed her plans. Medical retirement was not something she had planned for, and suddenly the future she had envisioned for her family felt uncertain.

After leaving the Navy, Mara and her husband, Curtis—also a Navy veteran—were searching for stability while caring for their two young daughters. They found it through Operation Homefront’s Transitional Housing-Villages program, which provides wounded, ill, and injured veterans and their families with fully furnished, rent-free apartments while they navigate the complex military medical board process and transition to civilian life. Operation Homefront’s three Villages—located in San Diego, California; Gaithersburg, Maryland; and San Antonio, Texas—have provided more than 7,300 months of housing to more than 780 families, creating a bridge during the daunting gap between military pay and veteran benefits.

For Mara’s family, that bridge changed everything. Financial counseling helped them pay off $36,000 in debt and begin building savings while Mara focused on improving her health. Now relocating to Texas, where Mara plans to finish a paralegal program and Curtis has secured a job transfer, the family is looking toward a future they once feared might slip away.

Back-to-school season comes with a big price tag for Tiffany Wingler, an Army veteran and mom to daughters ages 11, 13, and 17. So when she heard about Operation Homefront’s Back-to-School Brigade® event in Tucson, Arizona in July, she signed up.

“School supplies get really expensive, and they provided me with almost everything we needed for all of my kids,” she said. As a bonus, each girl received a gift card for additional supplies.

For military families, the costly back-to-school season often coincides with permanent change of station moves. Operation Homefront steps up with Back-to-School Brigade® to alleviate the budget strain and provide supplies so children can start the school year prepared. Since 2008, Operation Homefront has distributed more than 630,000 supplyfilled backpacks to military children at Back-to-School Brigade® events. In 2025, the program supported more than 12,000 families through events across the country.

Tiffany followed a family tradition of military service when she enlisted in the Army at age 17. After eight years of service, including one deployment to Iraq, Tiffany is now pursuing a degree in social work.

She praised the friendly and helpful volunteers for making the event fun and the donors who make Operation Homefront programs possible. “Hopefully one of these days I can become a donor,” she said.

Holiday Meals for Military®

Army veteran Steven Leo took away much more than groceries from a December Holiday Meals for Military® event in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

“Everyone was more than amazing,” he said. “It was one of the best events I’ve ever been to in my life.”

Holiday Meals for Military® meets a critical and growing need today, when nearly one in four military families experience food insecurity and rising grocery costs crimp budgets. In 2025 alone, Operation Homefront provided food for nearly 87,000 military and veteran family members through Holiday Meals for Military® events nationwide. Since 2010, the program has served more than 900,000 individual family members. The commitment of dedicated partners and volunteers allows us to continue working to ensure military and veteran families don’t have to choose between paying a bill and creating special lasting memories around the holiday dinner table.

Steven and his wife used their generous grocery supplies and gift card they received at the event to tailor their holiday meals to their diverse cultures. He’s Puerto Rican, and his wife is Greek. They also invited a fellow service member and his family to their holiday table. He, his wife, and his 10-year-old stepdaughter are preparing to welcome a baby in 2026.

When Petty Ofc. 2nd Class Estelamerity Tiu joined the Navy in 2022, she was searching for stability after the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted her college studies and career plans. Today she serves as a personnel specialist stationed in California, building a life with her husband, Geovanni. When the couple learned they were expecting a baby after two heartbreaking miscarriages, they faced pregnancy and early parenthood far from family support.

“This baby was our rainbow baby,” Estelamerity said.

A fellow service member told her about an Operation Homefront Star-Spangled Babies® event—one of the program’s baby showers hosted across the country to celebrate and support new and expectant military parents. Since 2008, Star-Spangled Babies has helped military families welcome nearly 23,000 military babies by providing essential supplies and connection for parents navigating the early days of parenthood. In 2025 alone, the program supported 661 families through events across the country.

For Estelamerity, the baby shower provided more than diapers, wipes, and newborn essentials—it offered something she had been missing: community.

Holiday Toy Drive

As Clarissa Renfroe, an Army Reserve veteran, and two of her four children headed to Operation Homefront’s Holiday Toy Drive in Grand Prairie, Texas, they remembered the smiling volunteers who have greeted them at the event each year since 2018.

“Knowing I’m going to be met with smiles when I walk into that room is a good feeling,” Clarissa said.

In 2025, mom and daughters enjoyed their annual holiday tradition of choosing a toy for each child and a game for the family.

The Holiday Toy Drive program creates memorable moments and extends appreciation for the sacrifices of military families. Since 2009, the initiative has provided nearly 255,000 new toys to youngsters, thanks to the generosity of donors, partners, and volunteers. For military and veteran families struggling to make ends meet, the festive event might provide their children’s only holiday gifts.

Clarissa’s family faced a tight budget going into the holiday season. Her father—an Army veteran—became an amputee in 2025, and they navigated his transition to long-term care.

She joined the military at age 17 and served eight years before a knee injury led to her separation. Her husband served in the Nigerian navy. Their adult son—the oldest of four children in their blended family—serves in the Army.

The 17th annual Military Child of the Year® Awards recognized seven outstanding recipients for their leadership, volunteerism, scholarship, and civic engagement. In April, the honorees and their families gathered in Washington, D.C., for a week of experiences celebrating their achievements, including tours, special events, and opportunities to connect. The celebration concluded with a gala where senior leaders from each branch of service presented the awards. Each recipient received a $10,000 award, a laptop computer, a Carnival cruise, and additional donated gifts.

Growing Stronger Together: The Path to 2030

Military families have always faced challenges unique to a life of service—but today those challenges are evolving faster than ever. With a dynamic geopolitical environment, rising housing costs, and overall economic instability, the demands of military life continue to create harsher realities for many families.

Operation Homefront’s mission has always been distinctly positioned to help military and veteran families overcome financial obstacles and build their strength and resilience. But we need to do more to help more families accomplish strength and resilience. In 2025, we took time to evaluate every program, process, and opportunity so we could prepare for where families will need us most. The result is OH 2030, a forward-thinking strategic plan that sets an ambitious course to expand our reach, deepen our support, and double our impact in the next five years.

During the past two and a half decades, Operation Homefront has grown into a national organization delivering life-changing support to tens of thousands of military and veteran families. As service members and their families shoulder increasing demands locally and globally, our responsibility is to ensure our approach evolves alongside their changing needs.

As such, OH 2030 is guided by six strategic pillars. The plan focuses on increasing program impact, strengthening our identity, investing in people and technology, and growing the resources needed to serve more families in more meaningful ways than ever before

At its core, OH 2030 is about ensuring every military family has the opportunity to build a strong, stable, and secure future. By combining compassion with innovation and thoughtful planning, Operation Homefront is leaning into our vision—where America, and the families who defend our freedoms, grow stronger, and more resilient, together.

Growing Stronger Together

Our Collective Impact

Growing stronger together means standing alongside partners who believe deeply in supporting those who serve and their families. Through their generosity, creativity, and shared commitment, these organizations help transform gratitude into meaningful action—reminding military and veteran families that their service is seen, honored, and supported.

In 2025, Vehicles for Veterans contributed nearly $520,000 in unrestricted funding, bringing their total investment to more than $4 million since the partnership began in 2016. Flexible funding like this allows Operation Homefront to respond quickly when military and veteran families face unexpected challenges, ensuring they receive help when it matters most. We thank Vehicles for Veterans for their unwavering commitment to helping military and veteran families build stronger, more stable futures.

Through Walmart’s Spark Good Round Up program, customers across the country came together in a powerful show of generosity for military and veteran families. During the month of November, customers who shopped on Walmart.com and the Walmart app had the opportunity to round up their purchases at checkout and make additional donations to help advance Operation Homefront’s mission. Walmart matched customer contributions to Operation Homefront 2:1, up to $2 million. This effort generated more than $2.9 million in unrestricted support for Operation Homefront. With this year’s donation, Walmart’s Spark Good Round Up program has raised more than $7.9 million for Operation Homefront since 2023, helping fund critical relief and recurring support programs that strengthen and uplift military and veteran families. We are deeply grateful to Walmart and to the countless Walmart customers whose everyday generosity multiplied to deliver a resounding show of support for military and veteran families nationwide.

The Home Depot Foundation continued its commitment to military and veteran families with a $200,000 sustainability-focused Eco Actions grant. This initiative helped Operation Homefront provide environmentally friendly home products to military families, including energy-efficient and sustainable household essentials designed to improve everyday living while reducing long-term costs. By supporting practical, eco-friendly solutions, The Home Depot Foundation helps families create more sustainable homes while easing financial pressures. Since our partnership began in 2011, The Home Depot Foundation has donated over $27M in cash and in-kind to Operation Homefront.

Coca-Cola Consolidated, the largest Coca-Cola bottler in the United States, and Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby, teamed up to create a memorable experience for military and veteran families through Operation Homefront’s Holiday Meals for Military® program. Together, they helped provide 350 meal kits so families could gather and celebrate during the holiday season without added stress to their food budget. Of those, 300 meal kits supported military and veteran families at Fort Knox, while others were distributed during a special event that welcomed military and veteran families for a day of horse racing at the legendary Churchill Downs. This collaboration blended gratitude, community, and celebration—creating meaningful moments for military and veteran families.

In 2025, Operation Homefront proudly welcomed the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) as a new partner in support of military and veteran families. Through a $25,000 unrestricted gift, the NFLPA demonstrated their commitment to strengthening the communities that service members and veterans call home.

Flexible support like this helps Operation Homefront respond quickly to the evolving needs of military families. We are grateful for the NFLPA’s trust in our work and our collaborative efforts to serve those who serve.

In June 2025, Tractor Supply Foundation announced a $1 million donation to charity organizations committed to supporting our nation’s military service members, veterans, and first responders. Operation Homefront was one of 10 organizations that received a $100,000 donation in mission support. As a part of our partnership, more than 250 Tractor Supply team members came together to assemble 500 school supply kits for military children through our Back-to-School Brigade® program and supported toy collection efforts through our Holiday Toy Drive. Their generosity and hands-on involvement reflect the spirit of service that helps strengthen military and veteran families who live in communities across the country.

Swire Coca-Cola’s partnership with Operation Homefront began with a dedicated group of employees in Utah who volunteered their time and coordinated product donations to support local Holiday Meals for Military® events. That grassroots support has grown into a meaningful, multiyear partnership. In 2025, Swire contributed $60,000 in cash and $60,000 in in-kind products while providing volunteers for seven Holiday Meals for Military® events across the country. Swire leadership also joined volunteer events to help pack school supplies and meal kits for military and veteran families. To date, Swire Coca-Cola has provided $280,000 in combined support, helping ensure military families feel supported and valued by their communities.

The Dallas Foundation and Lyda Hill Philanthropies have played a vital role in strengthening Operation Homefront’s impact in North Texas and beyond. Support through their Nonprofit Empowerment Program grant via Lyda Hill’s Water Cooler Fund at The Dallas Foundation has advanced key capacity-building efforts, including team retreats, access to subject matter expert speakers, and professional learning opportunities that strengthen staff and enhance service delivery for military and veteran families.

Skanska’s partnership with Operation Homefront began through hands-on service when their team hosted a school supply packing event at their office in support of a Back-to-School Brigade® event that also drew Skanska volunteers. What began as a volunteer opportunity quickly grew into a deeper collaboration. After the event, Skanska selected Operation Homefront as a beneficiary of its annual clay shooting fundraiser held each September. Through the generosity of Skanska and the participants who supported the event, the partnership generated $50,000 to help provide school supplies and other critical resources for military children and their families. Together, we are helping ensure military and veteran families have the support they need to succeed at home and in the classroom.

THE JAMES AND BRENDA HOYT FOUNDATION

The James and Brenda Hoyt Foundation continues to make a meaningful difference for military and veteran families in Michigan through its thoughtful support of Operation Homefront’s programs. In 2025, the foundation provided a $25,000 grant that helped deliver tangible resources to local families, including 1,220 backpacks filled with school supplies through Back-to-School Brigade® and 200 holiday meals through Holiday Meals for Military®. These programs help ease financial pressures while creating moments of connection and celebration for families who serve our nation. We are grateful for the Hoyt Foundation’s commitment to our mission and proud to continue this partnership.

Johnstone Supply continues to be a dedicated partner in supporting military and veteran families through both fundraising and hands-on service. In 2025, the organization and its network of locations raised a record $439,352 for Operation Homefront, bringing their total support since 2012 to more than $2.5 million in cash and in-kind contributions. Johnstone Supply teams also host local volunteer events that directly support military families, including a Backto-School Brigade® supply distribution at the Clackamas County, Oregon, warehouse serving 100 military children and a Holiday Meals for Military® event in Albuquerque, New Mexico, assisting 200 families. Through the commitment of their locations across the country, Johnstone Supply continues to strengthen communities and provide meaningful support to those who serve.

Where Generosity Meets Impact

Operation Homefront supporters Betsy and Jim Anderson choose to help military families and veterans in honor of their family members who serve and have served our country. Counting Betsy’s grandfather, her brother and sister-in-law, Jim’s father and sister, and nephews on both sides, family members have served in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Air National Guard, representing every branch but the Coast Guard.

“Even if you don’t feel like you have a lot to give, you can still make an impact.”

The Andersons both have backgrounds in finance, and Betsy carefully researches organizations to support. She appreciates the financial responsibility and education built into Operation Homefront’s housing and Critical Financial Assistance programs.

“We both like the way Operation Homefront helps in so many ways,” she said. The Andersons prefer giving unrestricted funds. “If I’m giving to an organization where I trust the management enough to give, I want it to have a free hand as to how funds are spent.”

She also likes being able to support urgent needs through the Operation Homefront website.

“Even if you don’t feel like you have a lot to give, you can still make an impact,” Betsy said. “There are needs that are large, and there are needs that are small, but there are a lot of needs.”

Operation Homefront’s support of enlisted families is also important, Betsy said.

“They don’t make a lot of money, and they’re supporting our country. It doesn’t seem right that they can’t afford food or diapers.”

On a cold December day, the Andersons enjoyed the warm hearts around them as they volunteered at a Holiday Meals for Military® event at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. She connected with families as they selected food items, and Jim had fun pulling a wagon for families as they collected gifts and holiday meal supplies and loaded them into their cars.

“When we work with an organization—even though we’re there to help them out—we always feel like we get far more out of it than the recipients do.”

Operation Homefront is an accredited 501(c)(3) organization that relies on the generosity of the donor community to support our nation’s military and veteran families. Our mission depends on generous individuals, corporations, and foundations. We receive no federal funding. Employee of the Year

MAURJON ALSTON Director Transitional Housing—Villages, Texas

Maurjon Alston has been a driving force behind Operation Homefront’s housing mission since joining the organization in 2015. In 2025, she was promoted to director of the Transitional Housing—Villages, Texas, expanding her leadership to include oversight of the Veteran Workforce Development program. Maurjon provides exceptional program leadership and familycentered case management, supporting wounded, ill, and injured military families as they transition to civilian life. She has helped more than 60 families achieve stability while also contributing to cross-department collaboration, staff training, and program growth. Known for her commitment to excellence and service, Maurjon consistently steps in to support teams across the organization, strengthening both our programs and our impact.

Katie Squires has been an invaluable volunteer for Operation Homefront, providing steadfast support to military and veteran families in the West region and programs nationwide. In 2024, she played a key role in managing more than 50 Seasons of Service nominations through our partnership with Boot Campaign, helping ensure military families facing medical, financial, and personal hardships received critical support. Katie also supported Back-to-School Brigade® and Holiday Meals for Military® campaigns by reconnecting volunteers, coordinating donations, and personally assisting with supply distribution across California, Nevada, and beyond. In addition, she regularly supports administrative needs and volunteer tracking, contributing thousands of dollars’ worth of service through her time and dedication. Katie’s commitment, reliability, and passion for our mission make a meaningful difference for the military and veteran families we serve.
