WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO ITALY?

• Remember to bring comfortable shoes, cool comfortable attire for day wear, and evening formal dress for the ILA Opera concerts and in-Concert Opera performances.

• Cell phone / Computer adaptor

Orchestra And Pianists

• Tuxedo is required for men, black formal attire for women. Don’t bring anything of great value. Once in Italy, you will have the Festival program, all instructions to begin and a weekly schedule.

At The Airport

• When you arrive at the Marco Polo Airport in Venice, you will find ILA staff waiting for you with a private BUS*. The meeting point will be announced before your arrival via email or whatsapp. Please, remember that to get on the bus only one BIG Suitcase plus the HAND luggage are allowed. Every extra luggage cost is € 30. Our assistants will be there and you can call us at the provided numbers if you have any problem. To use our BUS service, you must arrive no later than 2 p.m.

Be Prepared

• You will be working very hard. FOR SINGERS: Remember that you must know your parts by heart on arrival in order to work easily with the teaching staff and the Conductor. We have had great success in the past, and many journalists, agents, and talent scouts will be present to meet you and to welcome you as well. Last, but not least, being part of the ILA Program 2023 means that you are not allowed to participate in any other program for singers or orchestra and/or music program and/or master class during the same period.

Hotel Accommodation Deposit

(only if you stay at the Hotel)

• Upon checking in, you will need to leave a credit card number at the front desk for any additional charges or fees. Nothing will be charged until there are charges at check-out (as with any stay at a hotel). If you travelling with a family member or a friend please remember that you have to pay for the accommodation. In Italy we pay per person and not per room as in USA. If you need the accommodation for your parents and friends, you can ask our staff to receive ILA’s Hotel special offer.
