You can honor a loved one and secure your legacy with an endowment gift to Indiana 4-H. An endowment is any donation of cash, property or other assets that is made for the perpetual benefit of a non-profit institution, usually requiring the principal amount remain intact and invested, allowing the money earned from the donation to be used for a specific purpose.

Endowment gifts from alumni and friends enable Indiana 4-H to offer a scholarship to an exceptional student, fund new and innovative programs, buy equipment, enhance an existing program— small things in the big picture, but indispensable to excellence.

The most common way to make a legacy gift to Indiana 4-H is through your will or trust, drawn up with an attorney.

Sample language you may wish to use when working with your attorney or estate planner: I give (write out the sum, percentage of estate, or description of property) to Indiana 4-H Foundation, 615 West State St, West Lafayette, IN 47907 to be used for its general unrestricted purposes.

You are under no obligation, however, to use this language in order to leave an estate gift to Indiana 4-H Foundation.
