Downtown Athens is an incredible place full of live music, delicious food and interesting people. It is also the birthplace of Onward Reserve, so it was only fitting for the Classic City to inspire our Fall 2016 collection. Everything from the color palette to the form and function of the garments was designed with Athens in mind. Our performance button downs and polos (pgs. 11 + 15) can be worn when summer weather is still lingering and can be layered under our Rabun Quilted Vest (p. 8) when the temperature starts to drop.

I love working in our Athens store mainly for the opportunity to meet new people. Among my favorites to date is an early customer named James Farmer. In addition to being a great friend to me and to Onward Reserve, James is fast becoming a household name as a Southern author & designer. We visited his home, Farmdale, for the second section of our catalog.

Farmdale perfectly personifies its creative, generous and hospitable resident.

Farmdale was the ideal backdrop for pieces like our best-selling Jasper Flannels (p. 23) and our new signature piece for fall, the Blue Ridge Shooting Sweater (p. 24). On top of allowing us to take over his home, the King of Southern Hospitality himself fed us fried chicken, homemade biscuits, sweet potatoes, ham, and butter beans.
