This month we have the pleasure of featuring a venue in Edinburgh that has set tongues and tastebuds wagging from customers from all over Scotland for its stunning decor to its unique menu Duck & Waffle really is something special.
Duck & Waffle was founded in 2012 offering a take on British cuisine with broad European and American Influences. The spirit of the restaurant is inspired by our signature dish: the playful, decadent, and world-famous Duck & Waffle, with well over two million sold (and counting!). The Duck & Waffle embodies the unexpected, delectable combination of sweet, salty and savoury for a truly unforgettable culinary experience. The restaurant menu emphasises local, rustic, and seasonal ingredients, with the dishes designed for sampling & sharing and an iconoclastic cocktail program complements the experience.
An unforgettable dining experience, unrivalled hospitality, exceptional service in a buzzy atmosphere, and mouthwatering signature fare that has become a hallmark of the brand, we welcome guests for breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails, and weekend brunch.
The restaurants dynamic interiors presents a host of inviting dining and drinking experiences; from the theatrical main dining room, the energetic chef counters and its signature 360-degree walk around bar, to the 32-seat outdoor terrace overlooking Register Square and the two individually designed private dining rooms; The Whisky Room with its charred timber walls, rich amber tones and copper accents (for up to 10 guests), and The Nest, with its feather and lace chandeliers (for up to 14 guests).
Edinburgh is a globally recognised destination renowned for its diverse culinary offering, which made it the ideal location for opening our first UK venture outside of London. Guest experience and satisfaction are part of our key components when it comes to dining at Duck & Waffle Edinburgh – the restaurant design features intrigue at every turn. Taking the DNA of the original location – the design takes an exciting evolution by turning the guest’s attention inward, the multiple chef stations bring an incredible action and energy to the room – enhanced by captivating video installations.
From the moment you step foot into the venue Duck & Waffle whimsical, light-hearted spirit shines through with multi-coloured plumage and oil paintings of duck personalities and subtle nods to Scotland’s heritage seen in abstracted tartans and indigenous materials, from locally-produced porcelain floor tiles to copper finishes –an ode to Whisky stills.
What’s more the restaurant offers a full circle experience whether it is drinks on our newly opened outdoor terrace, the catch up with friends over happy hour in our bar, a breakfast meeting, brunch with family or late Sunday supper there is something for everyone.
The restaurant opened to a high acclaim and rave reviews from the public and tourists alike, the guests love the warm hospitality, playful design and an extensive and delicious menu offering (including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options - including waffles) at affordable prices.
The restaurant is an ongoing evolution, we constantly tweak things to make things better for our customers, whether introducing set menus, brunch entertainment, or seasonal dishes such as tacos on our terrace menu there is always something new to experience at Duck & Waffle.
We are pleased to confirm that SUSHISAMBA will be opening in Edinburgh very soon.
Buck’s Bar Group have used Lynas food services since we 1st opened back in 2016, since then we have worked on building a strong relationship not only with lynas as a brand but with our Rep Tony & Vikki who have been with us as we grow as a company.
Produce wise I can’t fault Lynas, again working very closely with myself to ensure the quality of all produce they supply us.
